Israel Adesanya is going to be out for revenge in this match. And we have seen him perform really well when he is out for revenge previously. So I think revenge is something that makes anyone a lot more dangerous. That is probably the same thing going to happen here. In the upcoming fight between him and Alex Pereira, I say Israel Adesanya is going to be the winner.
Don't really want to make any statement about Jones. He could have been so much better if he just was a little more hard-working and serious about his career.

This is what is good in the UFC because they settle it quickly as soon as possible the re-match is because the fire on the emblem is still on and the memory of the fight of these two good fighters is still fresh. They need to fight once more to finish their rivalry and we will see more amazing actions from these two. I think Adesanya is still traumatized about his loss and he won't gonna recover in the first round until he gets to realize that Alex Pereira is still just a normal opponent just like the others that he fought before. and when that happens, I'm sure his performance will be boosted and his chance to win will be high at that moment.

After losing from him so many times, I am seriously starting to question if Adesanya is better than Pereira in anything, except performance outside octagon as a showan.
I just saw his new statement saying that this fight against Pereira is his last chance for title and proving he is better than his opponent.

But there are other factors that also help win a fight.  There's size, strength, cardio and other things like heart and motivation.  And sadly for Adesanya, there's just some fighters that have the other fighter's number.  For Adesanya it could be Pereira.  For Usman it's Edwards.

Pereira is stronger fighter and Adesanya showed that he can have problems with fighters like that.
Maybe putting on some weight and more muscles would make him more dangerous, but this would slow him down.
When I compare all this fighters you mentioned with Khabib, I see how amazing unique fighter he was, and it's a shame to see him retire so early on top.

Israel Adesanya actually motivated Alex Pereira to focus on MMA when he dissed Pereira during an interview when he was asked about his knockout loss in Kickboxing, you can search that video online and after that Alex Pereira was in the corner for the Anderson Silva fight in UFC 234 and Pereira made his mission to defeat him in MMA as well  .

Pereira had done it 3 times already against Izzy, once in Kickboxing. Pereira is Izzy's nightmare that doesn't go away and he may do it many times more.

Twice in Kickboxing and once in MMA, if Alex Pereira can make the weight then i am expecting him to win the fight once again but looking at his training videos, he looks much bigger now and he might struggle to get to championship weight with the body mass he gained.

That may be the reason why Adesanya may win this time. He knows the weakness of Perreira and yet he was filled with pride or ego and tried to outbox him which made him lose his belt. He has lots of skills that could end the fight quickly or even if it went to 5 rounds he can still win the decision by putting Perreira down on the mat as much as possible.
But I used "may" because there's a chance Perreira is also strengthening his weaknesses. I don't want to think that he is a lazy fighter that would not patch things up. We may see him perform some takedown defense so that it could stay at a stand-up fight.
Adesanya could win his title back, it's just a manner of discipline and staying focused on the plan. No more shortcuts or playing with his prey.

P.S. I never consider Jon Jones as greatest fighter because of his illegal moves in octagon, drug issues, doping. Not the greatest, just talented.

Yes, Jon Jones cannot be crowned as the greatest fighter of all time because he has failed and has a history of using illegal drugs, which makes it clear that every fighter cannot use doping or certain drugs.
In fact, I have a mainstay heavyweight fighter, Stipe Miocic, and he deserves to be called a GOAT in the UFC because Miocic has a 20-3 career record in the UFC.
Maybe Jon Jones did have quite a satisfying fight and his career record was so epic, but after it was discovered that he was taking drugs, many of his fans were disappointed, including the UFC board.

Don't get too amped up...  Again, as said, if we're just talking about pure skills and technique, Adesanya is better.  Remember, Adesanya was on his way in winning the match before he got finished. 

But there's just some fighters that have the other fighter's number.  And also watch those kick boxing matches.  Adesanya was also ahead before the knock out and the other one is close but Pereira won, hence the observation that Pereira has Adesanya's number.

I think the rematch will be close with Pereira edging it.

I'm gonna watch it too this week if I don't get lazy.  Lol.  I'll prolly just watch the last round at the part when Adesanya started falling apart.  I don't know what his game plan was but his back was too close to the cage and that's where Pereira wanted. 

And I thought the event was going to be this coming weekend.  It's going to be at the weekend after.  -_-

Thanks for the Link I have watched it again, for me, Israel Adesanya was winning the fight no doubt about that, from striking there were some points for Pereira but after that big right hand from Izzy, Alex Pereira was now respecting Israel Adesanya's striking, then on the 3rd round Alex Pereira shooting a takedown was his big mistake because Israel Adesanya is more dominant with wrestling than him he surely got much tool than Pereira and you could see that Alex Pereira was gas out from that grappling that Izzy kept on pressuring Pereira, and on the start of the 4th round you can see that Alex Pereira is now catching his breathing, and when the 5th round enters his corner have said something to him, pretty much Adesanya was not catching his breath or fatigue but because he knows that he already won the fight and have most of the rounds he was confident and was kind of sloppy that was his big mistake,

It was a bummer that it is not this week but UFC just got to have some week rest and this is their rest for this week while we are having a break I surely rewatch their Kick Boxing fight, and this UFC fight as well and watch Israel Adesanya's training, and right now finding video of Alex Pereira's training aswell,

Actually, this is just what I think when Israel Adesanya backed away, Alex Pereira will always move forward always clearing the distance, and Adesanya doesn't want to move from side to side because he doesn't want to make mistakes because Alex Pereira tends to punch from side to side so Izzy is pretty much aware of that, and the only defense that Israel Adesanya has was the clinched but yeah in backing in that fence he has allowed Pereira, and Alex Pereira didn't notice this on the start of the match, he just realized this on the 5th round, when Adesanya would clinch to him Adesanya's center defense was open that surely have given the opportunity for Pereira, so for me, It could be the movement of Pereira that cause Israel Adesanya to back further away to the fence and this is the 1st time Adesanaya is fighting a guys taller than him or had the same height, not the same guys like Robert Whittaker, Marvin Vettori, and Jared Cannonier then don't have the same height as Pereira,

In 2022 UFC had 3 kings, 3 African champions. Now everyone of them has lost their belts. Two out of three lost by KOes. Anyone think that Jon Jones could submit Ngannou if they would have fought? (doubt that he could KO Ngannou). What I mean that those champs have lost their belt not by decision. 

Btw, in 2022 only bantamweight and featheweight fighters managed to defend their belts. Figuieiredo, Oliveira, Usman, Adesanya, Prochazka (Texeira), Ngannou have lost their titles.

UFC is now merged with WWE. Wrestling organization has a lot of money and they really can offer Ngannou as much money as he want. So one day we might have Ngannou having a wrestling match

For those who have missed the news: World Wrestling Entertainment is merging with Endeavor Group, the parent company of competitor UFC, to form a new publicly traded company. So far I dont know what will UFC get from that merge. More tv broadcast time? New fans? Lesnar 2.0 ?

I have a complete opposite vision. A fighter would better smile, talk, jump and act like an asshole, then be silent but skilled fighter. And the more bad guy you are, the better it is. UFC does not like fighters who are active online inside octagon. Demetrious Johnson is a great example. The guy is so much positive, that UFC exchanged him for other fighter (Mighty Mouse has 11 title defence, lost to triple C and got exchanged for Ben Askren lol). No wonder why people dont love Dariush, Muhammad or Whittaker. Because they are too good as persons People dont like Pereira, because he dont speak English, shows no emotions, and got title fight after beating 3 average guys (2 of them were not even in top15), while others wait ages for a title fight.

Oh wow...  That's a huge deal.  That cements the UFC's position as the pinnacle for all promotion of MMA in the world.  And yeah, now with all the revenue coming in the company, they prolly will have some leeway for Ngannou to come back.  Not saying the UFC's offer of 8m USD per fight isn't huge.

Dana White and the UFC went thru the hoops to get and support McGregor in his foray into boxing.  But the thing is if the UFC fighter lost in a boxing match it diminishes the UFC fighter's stock and in a way it also diminishes the UFC as a brand.  So after McGregor vs Mayweather, the UFC isn't having more boxing matches involving fighters from their roster.

There are actually positives and negatives for both sides. A fighter can jump around and act like he's the best in the world in any circumstance and bring in better revenue for the fighting organization or company and at the same time bring better money for himself as well.

But that also comes with consequences. Remember in the past when Muhammad Ali did things like these and got millions of death threats?

It's not like he was not loved by the people. But there were a lot of people, even the mafia, trying to kill him. But at the same time keeping quiet and just being the best is probably not going to bring the most amount of money. About it does increase respect.
