In word underrated, I mean, other fighters don't prioritize it the way Chechnya guys do. Dustin Poirier is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt but can you compare his wrestling to Chechnya fighters? Who showed you real good wrestling skills other than Chechnya guys? Most of the time we see boxing and leg kicks, we rarely see wrestling with other UFC fighters. I don't say it's bad, no, I prefer to watch boxing and leg kicks over wrestling but all I'm saying is that, it's fact, wrestling pays back better.

I think all agree here that Dagestani Fighters are better and best in wrestling. Do you mean Chechnya is Dagestan? If so, then we both agree.

If so, then the word is that many fighters other than Dagestani fighters are below their wrestling level. That doesn't mean they put wrestling down and look down on wrestling, but the fighters in MMA come from a variety of martial arts backgrounds. It was also their previous training camp and the culture of their place that made their fighting style not wrestling.

Here are some of my predictions for main card:

Amanda Nunes  KO-TKO win.
Charles Oliveira win by submission.

Okay for my prediction in this match:
Nunes vs Aldana

Even though Nunes has lost before via submission against J Pena, I believe Nunes is still very strong, especially in the Bantamweight Division.

Oliveira vs Dariush

I see a lot of people who favor Oliveira here. I also like Oliveira but if we look at the previous matches, Oliveira still can't overcome Makachev and Chandler's level of Wrestling (Even though Chandler lost but there we can see Oliveira is struggling to submit a wrestler on Chandler's level

Malott vs Fugitt

Previously, Malott did by submission and Fugitt won by TKO. I don't know the strength of these two fighters but I think Malott will win because in previous fights Malott has also won via submission

Sad day for the UFC as the best in the women's bantamweight division just retired. Amanda Nunes, what a spectacular energy she showed today. It's been so long since she had been reigning this division, after she said she will retire it shows some glow on her like some weight had been lifted. She is free now.

Irene Aldana didn't even show her true self. Lesser thrown punches which are unusual for her. Frozen or too much respect for her opponent? I think it's the latter. Every round they touch gloves, and at every end of the round they touch gloves again. It's like she didn't even want to win the championship.

Anyway, the 3 fights behind them were superb.
Oliviera with a TKO against Dariush, I think this gives him a chance for a title match, Mike Malott with a submission win to boost the Canadian fans. I thought the energy will passed along the the main event but sadly Aldana did not have a little chance against Nunes.

A dominating performance for Amanda Nunes, Defeating Irene Aldana like that she was dominating the striking and the takedowns and going into the grounds that Irene Aldana wasn't really doing a thing maybe danherbias07 is right Irene Aldana has so much respect for Amanda Nunes to do nothing inside the ring, but it was a great win for Amanda Nunes and a new chapter for her life awaits as she take off his gloves inside the cage, she will surely be a 2-time champion, forever in the UFC, and Dana White also added that even though he would like Amanda to stick around he was happy that Amanda Nunes is happy with her decision,

Charles Oliveira VS Beneil Dariush ROUND 1 - KO/TKO - WIN

A dominating performance for Charles Oliveira and finishing Beneil Dariush in the 1st round what a great performance for the kid, we can see that Oliveira dominates the stand-up, and some say that Oliveira doesn't have head movement but here he is a stud doing so while on the ground where Beneil Dariush was on a dominate position but Charles Oliveira is beating Beneil Dariush while he is on his back on the ground, and that ground performance Charles Oliveira is also one step ahead of Beneil Dariush, I was standing on my feet while watching this,

Mike Malott VS Adam Fugitt ROUND 2 SUBMISSION - WIN

Mike Malott was amazing in that finishing shot that drop Adam Fugitt he capitalized that to deliver a Guillotine Choke to Fugitt, it was amazing 10 wins and 10 Finishes for him Mike Malott is really incredible for now I will surely be looking for him while he fights,

Great win for Amanda Nunes and Irene Aldana can not do a thing about Nunes, the whole fight was a unanimous decision win for Amanda Nunes from Striking to the ground Amanda Nunes was dominating the fight becomes boring because you can see that Irene Aldana didn't really want to do something about Nunes, and after the fight Amanda Nunes has announced her retirement on the UFC cage, cutting her gloves and leaving it inside the Octagon,

Charles Oliveira(2.35) VS Beneil Dariush(1.68) - WIN

Beneil Dariush couldn't do anything about Charles Oliveira, and Oliveira is one step ahead of Dariush, from striking Charles Oliveira is doing it superbly and he technically doing it pretty well, even when it comes to the ground Charles Oliveira is doing it pretty much fine it was really the performance of the night and for this superb win Charles Oliveira deserves a shot at the title, against Islam Makhachev,

UFC 289 was something very emotional with Manda Nunes announcing her retirement from MMA, she had no difficulties in beating her opponent and dominated the 5 rounds, something very smart about Amanda Nunes was the time she used to announce her retirement, while many fighters have the big problem of not looking at the big issue of retiring while they are still at their peak of fame and victories, they prefer to keep fighting until they get worn out in terms of image and performance and then when they retire they end into oblivion, all the glory achieved goes all into oblivion

My prediction is correct that supporting Nunes for victory is the right choice and we can see for ourselves that she is again the women UFC GOAT champion.
But it looks like he may actually be retiring and the title he already has may be up for grabs for some other fighter.
Actually, it's a shame for a fighter with a million achievements like Nunes to decide to retire early considering he's not too old and still deserves to be in the octagon to defend the title he has held for several years.

Juliana reacts to Nunes retirement saying Nunes is just too scared that she retired because Pena's retaliation.  Like any other retirement of these fighters, they come back after just discussion of money.  If Dana wants Pena and Nunes fight for their 3rd, he can do it for the fans.

It was a crazy fight and Beneil Dariush doesn't really expect that from Charles Oliveira, Oliveira really delivers the message to the champion and Daniel Cormier has said that the champion Islam Makhachev Tweeted congratulates him and added that there are levels to this game, so I guess a rematch will surely be appropriate because Charles Oliveira was love by the Canadians and shouting his name when he said who is the champion, so I am really starting to be excited about what may happen in the future,

I don’t like women’s MMA, as it is really unpredictable, and most often women fight with their feelings instead of fighting with their head. That’s what makes someone like Khabib Nurmagomedov, so good. Even after so much trash talking from Connor McGregor, he did not move away from his game plan. And honestly, except for a few women, Most of them are not very skillful.

Charles Oliveira fought really well and far, better compared to Dariush. I would just say that this was not a night for Dariush. The striking of Charles Oliveira was multiple levels above Dariush. Dariush should have given Charles Oliveira a hard time because he is a good wrestler. But he did not even attempt any takedown. It’s like he got beaten down so much that he forgot his strength.

This makes Charles way to get a chance to once again get back his throne from Islam Makachev and they will need to make it happen this year because both fighters are ready, especially Islam. I'm sure Charles will accept that because their fight was close and due to the fact that he is just completely stunned by Islam but this time he has the chance to prove himself back again.

what a good fight from the Nunes and she completely dominated her opponent which is the best time to retire and live as one of the legends in the UFC.

^  Yup, I wanna see the UFC run it back and have those guys go at it again.  Oliveira made a dumb mistake with the no so well executed flying knee and he got caught straight at his chin then on he went groggy straight to the mat.  Lol. 

As for Nunes, happy to see somebody have a happy ending.  She has some money, her health and a beautiful family. 

Anyway, on we go to the next event!  I honestly don't know a lot of these guys that much but there should be some bangers here and there.  Main event is decent tho.

Oliveira win yesterday proves that he is still a force to be rekon with, i think the rematch with islam is the right decision but it will be as tough as the first one since islam has a strong chin and can take punches and outwrestling him is a really tough task, oliveira must make some adjustements and try to surprise him because if volkanowski couldn't knock him down this prove how good islam is.

Well, she already retired so that was it I really think she has her own reason for hanging the gloves and she already has said in the Octagon interviews that it was for her mother because her mom keeps asking her to retire because she can not take it anymore the worrying for her daughter and it is also for her family that she wants to spend her entire retired career with her family if you watch the video of her octagon interview you will surely know the details but here is the Video LINK
