Yes, he did retire. It was about time. The dude was 41. This was a good fight for him though. Managing to knock someone out who is 33, at the age of 41 is actually really good. I have to say he had a decent career. Probably not one of the best in my opinion. But anyway, congratulations on his win and the best of luck for his future endeavours.

I don’t think this was a great career for him. But I do think that this was a great finish to his career. After all, who does not want to finish his career with a great knockout at the age of 41?

I honestly did not think that he will be able to win this fight. Not because he is a bad fighter. But because he is just too old. And the statistics of him and his opponent are basically similar. The only major difference between them was probably his experience. But again congratulations to him for his win.

Was not surprised that Pantoja would win. He is like a cryptonite fo Superman, like Pereira for Izzy 
Now I think Pantoja would defende his belt against Kratos, and then would probably face Moreno again. And only then, Moreno would win.

Btw guys, what do you think about series of 3-4 fights between one and the same fighters? Does it makes division boring or pause for others. Is it ok, as other fighters level aint that good as those who have series.

That Pantoja win is full of controversy so I think that Dana White will do something about that and will surely make a rematch on this and For Brandon Moreno is used to back-to-back fights like this he surely has a great back-to-back fight against Deiveson Figueiredo and eventually has proven his worth by winning that fight so maybe we can see a rematch between the two for sure,

Well In getting a series of 3 - 4 fights with the same fighters for me I am OK with it as long as they will show a banger of a fight, for example, the Israel Adesanya fight with Alex Pereira, that Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno back to back fight has something different and exciting every time these two fights so I am OK with it it is good if we are not expecting the result ahead but if it was completely one-sided,

Rodriguez was never able to find an approach to Volkanovski, despite the advantage in height, he just tried to get Volkanovski, but instead he ran into a series of blows, after rapprochement. Actually Rodriguez noticeably fizzled out in the second round. In the third round, the same mistakes and in close combat, Rodriguez missed a blow to the jaw and Volkanovski, in the usual manner, transferred Rodriguez to the floor and ended the fight with a series of blows. If evaluate the fight, then everything was under the complete control of Volkanovski, and in fact, Rodriguez had no chance.

That series of blow of kicks to Volkanovski was entering Volkanovski those are good kicks for Rodriguez and surely Alexander Volkanovski isn't really perfect he doesn't really have a defense against those kicks but in order for him to read Rodriguez fight sequence he let that hit I'm on purpose but the time he gets used to yair Rodriguez sequence of strikes he already knew when to enter it and take Yair a solid punch then takedown to ground and pound, for me that has rocked Yair Rodriguez with solid damage from there,

He retired men, it was his retirement fight that is why Joe Rogan said this in the ring interview and he stated "I am here for the last time the Ruthless Robbie Lawler and that was a storybook ending to an absolutely spectacular career and so on" from that start of an interview I already realized that this is it and this is the ending of his career at the UFC, that is why Joe Rogan was adding the last KO of Lawlers spectacular career, I was a retirement ceremony For Robbie Lawler and watching this surely have tears in Lawler's eyes, here are the Video of that interview,

Looks like we got the same result lol I only got Volkanovski right. Very hard to predict which fighter is going to win these days. Even the bookie thought DDP will lose the fight but just look at how it ends. Moreno who I think will dominate as well gets tagged many times.

I think it would have been worth going all-in for Nickal despite the small percentage of win amount. Seem like the bookie had assured to meet the expectation.

It was really a surprising result actually there are a lot of things that are likely for a fighter to win and lose and you are right it is very unpredictable at times but if you look at the paper that fighter can surely win that fight but end up losing because of some factors and for example, the Brandon Moreno VS Alexandre Pantoja fight it was a decision win for Alexandre Pantoja, the aspect of Pantoja winning because of the Judges scorecard he win this fight, in case of Volkanovski that was really a masterful class performance for him that likely I want to see him fight another decent guy, and for me Ilia Topuria before his rematch with Makhachev,

This was a great fight card with lots of KO wins and only four decision wins!
Volkanovski is back on top for featherweight category but now he needs to do the same thing in lightweight category with Islam Makhachev rematch.
I would really want to see if he can perform better and beat Makhachev, but this is not going to be easy to do with guy who is like Khabib 2
Biggest surprise for me in this card was Alexandre Pantoja winning against Brandon Moreno, but it was only a split decision thanks to refs again.

The Khabib version 2.0 is something that Islam Makhachev wants to hear for sure but Alexander Volkanovski has proven that he also has wrestling in his game and he has shown it against Yair Rodriguez and that strength of Volkanovski is really legit for me he surely got a chance in beating Islam, because of that performance but surely it is on for another story because for me I want to see Ilia Topuria getting a shot to the title match against Volkanovski,

Alexandre Pantoja winning was thanks to the Judges score card which was likely a robbery but Pantoja really showed that he is harder to beat fighter for sure and it was really a close match but giving all the rounds to Pantoja is really not a good thing to see,

The fight was good, but I see no real controversy there. Maybe that judge, that gave 4-1 in Moreno favour was blind, but that still will be a split. I would not call a robbery. I often check http://mmadecisions.com/ if there is a controversial fight, but many independent judges gave victory to Pantoja. Anyway, I am glad that current champ is not Figueiredo or Moreno. That loss will stimulate Moreno to prepare for fights more seriously.

^  Yup, the only value line there was Nickal via KO/TKO at 3.05.  It had a better chance in real time than on paper as Val Woodburn took the fight on short notice.  I hope Nickal's next fight will be vs a grappler with some striking like Caio Borralho.  That would be a sweet match up.  

As for Moreno, don't know why a lot of folks were so confident in him like he was some sort of solid pressure based fighter.  He isn't.  Anyway, don't know if I want to see a rematch.  I'd rather see Pantoja vs Albazi.

That's pretty hilarious because by the logic that Du Plessis cannot be African because of being white, Adesanya cannot be New Zealander. Not to mention that RSA, just like most (if not all) of sub-saharan countries was founded by whites and the vast majority of its black population immigrated into it.
It's also funny how Adesanya didn't have a problem performing under the Chinese flag at the beginning of his career, which makes him look like an absolute sell-out who only returned to calling himself Nigerian because it's a huge country with a huge audience.

I’m no fan of the Zuck by any means, but he’s clearly in good shape and is putting the work in with some of the best in the sport. I think that effort is being underestimated.

I replayed a few times when Nickal threw a shot that knocked Woodburn to the ground because it was such a spectacular shot.
The point is that Nickal really put out the strength in his grip so that it could shoot like a bullet through steel.

Meanwhile, UFC Vegas 77 has the most uninteresting matchups. Dana must have plaans to make Holm vs Pena soon for the vacant.

First of all, I don’t think it is going to happen, and I also think that Elon Musk is just trolling. A lot of people don't know, but Mark Zuckerberg is actually a black belt in jujitsu as far as I know. He was the winner of a jujitsu competition which was held during the time of Covid. Probably he is just draining and trying to get better. But at the same time, I do not underestimate the chance of the fight happening. There is a genuine chance that we will actually see them fight against each other. But right now I think Elon Musk is just having fun. Otherwise, I think Elon Musk would have trained for the fight. But instead of that, we see him posting different photos of himself being out of shape on Twitter.
