the S1s come and go. but pretty stable.
i have one that likes to hang and go bright solid green led on me - still uncertain what it means but its rare so i dont worry.
the s2 has been solid since i got it going and just as im typing this the fkr comes back to life for about 3 seconds...
up until today i was happy with its stability over anything else.
now its beeping at me again....
its annoying cos if it was the network it would affect them all.
and its just this one.
so far....
Could be an IP collision on your LAN. Do you have a mix of DHCP and static IP's used for your miners? If one of your miners or another device on your network takes an IP that you are using as a static IP for your S2, and connectivity is reset or you rebooted the miner, then it would probably exhibit the behavior you're describing.

My wifes iphone was doing this, pain in the ass to narrow down the device I had this problem with a static ip S1 and a DHCP printer, and it took me a while to figure out why I had intermittent connectivity. I fixed the issue by specifying a DHCP IP range in my router that did not conflict with any static IP addresses that I assigned to my Antminers.

And that's how you safely run both DHCP and a statics on the same subnet. Set the DHCP to only draw from a specific range (say 192.168.1.150-192.168.1.200) and then assign all your mining gear IP addresses outside that range (192.168.1.100, 101, 102, 103, etc) to keep things straight.

I have a specific dedicated IP range for all my Miners, another one for network equipment with static IPs (managed switches, temp sensors, etc) and another range for all my Dynamic stuff. I try to specify Static IP's where I can though to make things more manageable.

hate to say it but i have 1 crippled S1 that took out a cougar 700w psu.
i can get into it, i can reboot it a billion times - the best i get is a brief flash on the board and thats that.
silver lining, everything else has come back online in unison.
how longs the warranty on these rigs?
this was bought as a pair on the 13th of March - arrived on the 17th so its not even 2 months...
E2A - i walk 8 feet away, sit by the pool and cool my feet... it only comes back online,,, i can see it twinkling away over there..ffs.
dem ants, eh
I have one unit that was doing it (intense momentary flashing and no hashing). I figured the cause-the panel near top left (close to ethernet connection) was overheating because of: 1. Slow fans on this machine 2. grey ribbons that were not properly folded and were blocking the airflow In your case perhaps increasing air temp contributed My solution: i directed the airflow from an additional external fan (I used Vornado, but any one can do) toward the panel. After a few seconds of increased air flow, hashing resumed uninterrepted and continued OK since. Somebody later posted that there is a temperature sensor that shuts everything down when that sensor reaches high temps (145oC). This is not the sensor that shows temp of the board on the web interface because that sensor was at OK reading in my case. Check it out with a fan.

In my experience, 99/100 if a miner wont hash then it's due to some kind of network issue. Power off router, wait 30, power off miner wait 30, wait another 3 minutes for cron task to kick in. Works again.

By the way, bitcointalk.org is limiting my messages, so that is why it took me so long to respond via PM. I posted trust feedback for you already Faetos and I will post for you too Taipo as soon as they let me. Posted from Bitcointa.lk - #adsS9DeIVtTQnA9o
