The pool shows an average the last trade on the exchanges that we support which carry the coin - in the case of PIG, its Bittrex and Poloniex at the moment.

Sorry what average is 90 when last trade on poloniex is 164 and last trade on bittrex is 155 ?

anyway if for 0.00000090   the profit is 0.00087983
for 90*2=180 profit will be 0.00087983*2 = 0.00175966
this not will pay even my electricity bill

How long do you intend to hold

I remember when i spent like 2 weeks mining WC and the price jumped to 2k+ i sold out. When I was mining the value was about 800-1200.

Not every coin is WC.
What will happen if the price not go up 5 time to be on a normal profit? will have just next useless coin.

You are mining on IPOminer that clearly says something. These coins are literally weeks olds, If you wanted quicker profit you can switch to a multipool that pays in BTC.

Difficulty is high on SHIBE -- it'll take a while to find blocks even with the multiport on it. We've found two blocks so far since switching over to it.

profit from IPOminer  is more good than multipool
multipool usualy is 0.003-0.004 per mh
ipominer is 0.005+ in most of the time.

Nothing on IVC yet. It appears that we'll need to do significant work to fix the issues surrounding the fork of it -- we'll post more details when we have them available.. I'd expect it to take a few days at least though, as the number of miners affected and total amount of BTC involved (<0.2 BTC) make it a low priority right now unfortunately.

have you thought about PLX ? It's N-factor but still its profitable atm yielding ~0.006BTC/ (regular-scrypt)MHs/day

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583660.0;all

or are you not dealing with n-factor coins at all ?

Thanks for the tip @paniczklos -- we don't currently have any Scrypt-N ports running, but we're in the process of adding/testing it. We do have an x11 port up in beta, which has been running well for the past few days mining BadgerCoin.

2 things:

1. It's time to set X11 multipool. X11 doesn't produce so much heat, noise, and spends a half of electricity compare to normal Scrypt. Be first!

2. Why we mine SHIBE @ multiport all the time while its profit dropping to ~0.00300 and do not mine BITS at all, which is ~0.00450?

Thank you

@GunPowder:
1) An x11 multiport is on the way! We actually have it up currently and are beta testing it, if you're interested. Its on port 3335, and is currently mining BadgerCoin. Note that displayed hashrates for it are not accurate because the site is using the same calculation for hashrates as it uses for scrypt. Shares/block finding are fine on it though.

2) Bitstar (BITS) difficulty is at 0.58 currently.. even adding 100MH/s more on it would drop the difficulty below SHIBE.

@dingyuanchang If it isn't on their Github, I don't know. We removed it more than a week ago, so I haven't paid attention to it since then.

pages take forever to load and this has been going on for ages
so much i quit using the site pretty much..

and wtf ?
every time i try and unlock an address it fails i have tried a million combo's and its mind shatteringly frustrating beyond comprehension !
*sometimes it works and 90% of the time it fails..

right now i can't get any address unlocked at all and like i said the last dozen times it was like that too..

edit:
i tried un-locking another address i locked before and it unlocked fine on one try like i figured it would..
although i had to go to another page and back again to see the checkbox (it was still showing the lock symbol)

this locking address stuff seems to have gotten worse and when i signed up it was a fast sites too.

Thanks for adding x11 coins, I'll be moving my GPUs over when it's online to test it out.
Vertcoin I hear added merged mining which is a big deal for scrypt-n.

Been about a week since I last posted my coin estimates and its a quiet night so I thought I'd update them and see if anyone else has opinions. The target prices are based on my "market cap" estimate for each coin, which is based on comparison with similar coins, popularity, general altcoin market etc etc. FYI, my standard strategy is to sell half the coins I mine and hold the rest if I think the coin has some potential.

CINNI = BTC0.00030000 (currently 0.00030000) - Difficult decision now, as CINNI has reached my target price so should I sell, or does it have potential to go further? With the WC crash and abject failure of AC I'm revising my market cap for CINNI upwards as I think some investors will have moved to it as it gains credibility. Will give it a couple more days to see how the momentum progresses then maybe cash in half my holding.

WC = BTC0.00003000 (currently 0.00000700) - got off to a good start until it had a nasty wallet accident, new "foundation" took over after the dev ran and did eventually release a new wallet which seems to work. Trading is open again but the coin has lost a lot of credibility, all the same I don't think price can get much worse unless it dies completely so may as well hold a while longer and hope.

AC = BTC0.00001500 (currently "relaunching") - kept my previous comment here for amusement, as AC spectactularly died when a 3Bn hidden pre-mine was discovered and dev shamed. People were trying to correct the blockchain and relaunch the coin but I stopped following their progress and it shows no sign of returning to the exchanges. 30th Apr - "think its benefitting from other new PoS coins failures, last day of PoW today so going to hold and hope it doesnt go down the WC"

YC = BTC0.00003260 (currently 0.000001200) - 30th Apr - "another PoS mess, rapidly losing hope for this one" However the YC Dev seems to have saved the day somewhat by releasing a fixed wallet that does stake as promised, currently at 10% day. Like CINNI, YC may be benefitting a bit from being the working alternative to WC and AC, but it may also suffer from a dump when the 10% PoS ends. Need to keep an eye on this one.

BLU = I didnt put an estimate last time as the coin was new and dubious - currently it appears to have been killed by a double spend attack.

This week's multiport coins of choice have been UVC and SHIBE, I havent really looked at UVC much so dont have an opinion there (and most of what I might have held I had to pay back to IPOminer  Wink )

SHIBE looks like it is trying to emulate CINNI's recent success, although with 10x the total coins in circulation. 5 day PoW period seems designed to encourage a price rise when it moves to PoS, but from recent experience that can also be the break point if PoS fails to function. Also concerned about the block reward structure, at least the 5% of the coins went to a small group (4 to 6)of miners who were mining before the coin was publicised. Its held the top spot for volume on Bittrex for the last couple of days though which is gaining it attention. I'm reluctant to put a price on it, could be a high risk gamble to hold past the PoW phase.

Still thinking about launching a coin, since so many of these altcoins seem to make terminal errors in one way or another....

Thanks for posting this RentaMouse, I was just about to get on here and say that ever since WC tanked, nothing that we've mined has looked worth trading yet -- anyone have any opinions? I'm horrible at the trading part of this so I always welcome others thoughts.

Nice job with the analysis RentaMouse - I'd say it mirrors most of my thoughts on those coins at the moment.

I think UVC has some potential to increase in price, but it seems as likely to halve as it does to double in price, to me. One thing it has going for it currently is that there are less than 50% of the expected number of coins. Now, that's a negative because it shows incompetence on the part of the developer, but it also means it could be undervalued at current prices.

Not sure if anyone else posted about this here, but I found the following post very helpful in resolving an issue where some of my hash rate was apparently being hijacked:

http://www.reddit.com/r/litecoinmining/comments/216ydt/psa_possible_miner_exploit/

After reviewing this post, and the discussing beneath it, I started using CGWatcher ( free download at the site linked below ) and now my hash rate displayed on the pool website ( ipoMiner in this case ) is more consistent and nearly matches the hash rate displayed in cgminer.
