with almost the same quality of players now between the two teams, I feel that this match will be tough and it's not very good if you compare them currently only referring to the standings in their respective leagues.

If you took the time span of the last 18 years and winning it as a parameter then it is correct , real madrid dominated the champions league. But if you took that time span just to support your opinion about real madrid domination then it is not correct way.

You are right. We can call domination what RMA or AC Milan did in the Champions League not what Barcelona did. They were not dominant, they were a good team in UCL.
