I kinda disagree here because i think that Leverkusen has the potential to reach the semi-finals of the europa league or even the finals if they are able to show their best possible performances on the relevant matchdays. Yes it is true, that they were kicked out of the DFB Pokal by a club from the second Bundesliga, so they definitely should have won there, but stuff like that can happen. Just take a look at Bayern Munichs 0-5 loss against Gladbach in the DFB-Pokal, that was an even bigger upset.
Still Leverkusen managed to beat Betis with 4-0 which indicates to me that leverkusen is not yet very stable but that they can beat every team in the europa league if they have a good day.

Leverkusen is very strange club because they are really unpredictable in last few seasons and have no good results but this year their start was very good in Bundesliga, but suddenly they are down very badly and now staying at 6th spot which is not good but in Europa League they have done very good and staying at top with this surely they can go some better and most chances they will be able to have spot in semifinal or final because in European Cup they are doing some extraordinary job.

They can win this cup and have direct entry into next year's Champions League with could be brought some better things for them and surely this can bring more quality players access because for having good spot in Bundesliga they need this more than they have right now.

I agree with you too. I don't expect Bayer Leverkusen to achieve great things in this tournament. As you have mentioned also, Leverkusen are already too bad in the Bundesliga. Maybe they are going on better here but they will still need to focus on Bundesliga to make things better. At some point, they can let this tournament go and focus on the Bundesliga to be able to finish the season at a decent place and join the Champions League.

Sure it would be awesome for them to win Bundesliga after so many years of Bayern dominance but we know that Bayern will win it this year as well. Yes, in my opinion West Ham looks stronger than Lyon or Napoli! You could also consider Monaco as a championship contender... They haven't lost a game in the Europa League yet either, like West Ham, Napoli or Lyon... And they have one of the most difficult groups!

You can't put any team to semi finals directly without knowing their opponents, an unlucky draw would dramatically change the outcome of trophy. West Ham is playing pretty impressive this season both in local league and in European competition but the main question is how long will they keep this high performance and how bad do they want to achieve something big. I can see them in semis or final but don't forget that there are many other good teams in this tournament. There will be big teams coming from Champions League as well, they always be the contender.
