it is a nightmare for the port to have to face juventus. what is the chance of porto to beat juventus? I think the chance should be around 25%. another unlucky one was Lazio, I doubt Lazio can beat Bayern. The city may lose against monchengladbach ... and the most anticipated game will be real madrid against atalanta. I'm hoping that Real Madrid will win, but they will have to have a good defense if they want to win.

Honestly, Juve is lucky comparing to the other teams. Barca will face PSG and could be trashed badly if they will play like they used to do lately. Liverpool will face Leipzig which is a solid team. ATM - Chelsea is also a hard one...etc

It is hard to predict anything such longtime before, but let's have some fun.
My predictions for 8 quarterfinalists:
Bayern, PSG, Juventus, Borussia
Chelsea, Man City, Rb Lipsk and Real

I hope we will see more surprises. Bayern vs Lazio is the clearest match for me. I go for Bayern, Liverpool, Barcelona, Juve, Sevilla, ManCity and Atalanta. I don't think that Dortmund and Real will make it to the next round.

Today the draws took place and I'm sorry for Lazio who ended up against Bayern Monaco. Atalanta had the same fate as they ended up against Real Madrid. They are the strongest teams ever and I don't think they will make it through the round this time. However, we are waiting for miracles

You can say RIP for Lazio but Atalanta definitely have a chance to stay, not a big one but they aren't hopeless at least since Real Madrid performance is fluctuating.

The champions league is a home of surprises and this is why i would not be making a prediction yet. I believe there will be lots of surprises in the round of 16 ties by February. WITH Barcelona and Juventus as well as Madrid has to be vigilant not to be knocked out at the round of 16.

I'm not sure it's such a wise idea to tip Sevilla to qualify at the expense of Dortmund.  Sevilla are not really good in the Champions league unlike the Europa League where they always come out top. Also, sevilla is not the kind of team you would expect to deliver on big occasions. If you watched  the Chelsea vs Sevilla game (5th group stage game), you would know what I'm talking about. I just don't think they stand a  chance against a team like Dortmund.

I understand why you doubt Sevilla can beat Dortmund, because I admit that in terms of the quality of the players and the experience,
Dortmund are superior compared to Sevilla. But don't forget Dortmund's appearance in the Bundesliga is inconsistent, even from the last
5 matches in the Bundesliga Dortmund only managed to win once. Meanwhile, Sevilla from the last 5 matches in La Liga have only lost
once and the rest have won. So this may be a consideration for why many people prefer Sevilla over Dortmund.

I agree that Atalanta might give a surprise by dropping Real Madrid, even though the chances are very small. But Real Madrid is more
experienced in the Champions League competition, Real Madrid should be able to overcome Atalanta easily with the support of quality
players who are far above Atalanta.

They destroyed Barca at their home and they took the 1st spot in the group stage and so managed to get a better draw, I don't get it if Juventus wins 3-0 it's lucky but if Barca won 2-0 in Turin in the 1st game was because they were a better team?

Hey, wake up, mate!! Don't dream too much!! Real Madrid won't be eliminated so easily in the Champions League. At least, not with a club like Atalanta, Real Madrid is still much better than that club. You also need to realize the current performance of Real Madrid in the last two matches. They seem already improved their performance well and ready to compete for the title again.

I agree your favourites as well, except that I'd have Barcelona and Dortmund qualify and my believe that teams shortcomings in the Champions League, but the games I mostly look forward to are Barcelona vs PSG, then Atletico vs Chelsea.

If Liverpool's injury situation doesn't improve by buying able-bodied players and RB Leipzig continues to play as well as they are doing now, we are possibly looking at a Liverpool knockout at the round of 16. It's too early to jump to conclusions now but I'm sure Klopp will do everything possible to fix up Liverpool's injury situation for the two legs, especially now that January's transfer window is around the corner.

Dortmund should trash Sevilla if they manage to keep Haaland since he should be in good shape by the time the legs start.

Meanwhile Ramos and Luka Jovic might be able to play in the match against Atalanta. I think their shooting capacity is lower than Atalanta's though. Real did win against Atletico 2-0 but one of them was an own goal so that only leaves one goal scored there. Meanwhile Atalanta averages over 2 goals per match, so this game is kind of a gamble.

Almost the same with the exception of Chelsea and Dortmund

Barcelona vs PSG! That would really be a competition. Barcelona lost 4-0 in Paris a few years ago, and then won 6-1 at home before continuing. That was absurd.

Even though it's too early for predicting the outcome of these games, I don't think Barca would be able to make a comeback this time around if they lose like that ^{[especially since the first leg will be played in Nou Camp]}.

My question is whether the UCL system is still like before? does not use the Home and Away system.

AFAIK, they're going back to normal ^{[that's what I'm seeing for the round of 16]}.

Ohhh.you predict that 3 german teams will fail. only bavaria / bayern will advance one round. i think at least two german teams will reach the next round.
in corona time there is no advantage for the team to play in its own stadium. the fans don't create an atmosphere.
there will definitely be one or two surprises.

Not that, of course Bayern Munich are the favorites for the UCL champions this season I think they will advance to the semifinals, for Dortmund and Monchengladbah are good clubs they will play against in the first knockout phase are experienced teams in Europe. I say Leipzig is interesting because their history last year, they make it to the semifinals. They became an underdog team that gave a surprise.

I think you shouldn't rate the chances of Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Atalanta so low. These teams can play quite successfully in this round. And in the PSG-Barcelona match anything can happen. Do not forget the result of their first meetings.

These 3 games are not predictable and can go the both end, none can have a easy win. Man city and Sevilla are having a poor run and the team are not that strong.
