^ You never can rule out past champions when it comes to this competition. The thing is, you can have a good team and great team with super talent but being on the big stage is all about experience and knowing how to handle it. I know cause my team (Spurs) reached it and ultimately did not deal with the final well.

Barca, Real, Bayern, Liverpool, all these greats have experience.

I think for the game of Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain, I am gonna bet for Barcelona because it has a total of a six-win streak and those games are against Real Betis, Granada, Athletic Club, Rayo Vallecano, Elche, and Cornella. Those mentioned teams are very skillful. But Paris Saint Germain managed to win five times in their past 6 games and it is against Nimes, Montpellier, Anger, and Merseille for 2 times but they lost their game against Lorient with a score of 3-2. I think that game I will vote for Barcelona because they managed to get a long win streak and against powerful teams. But I cannot say that Paris Saint Germain will be defeated easily because they also got a long win streak too before they lose to Lorient.

It's true that the Champions League is the most prestigious competition in Europa, so the pressure on players is also greater. Therefore only

I agree,based on the teams recent form in their own league it is very difficult to predict this game.However lately Barcelona has shown a great football together with good results and if they keep playing like that,they find their old rhythm where they do their famous taka-taka every team should be afraid of them including Psg.

It's not certain yet that this is going to be Lionel's last season in Barcelona, but even if it is, I do not think it's going to have any effect on this game and imo, it's highly improbable that Barcelona is going to win this seasons champions league, they haven't been in their usual good form for a while now.

If I'm to pick a team I think will win the UCL this season, I'll go with Manchester City, I think pep has solved his most pressing problem in the team, and that's his defense, City are somewhat unstoppable going forward, hence if they can limit the amount of goals and chances their opponents get, like they are doing now, then the probability of winning becomes quite high.

For me it's a 50/50 game. Barcelona can still beat any other team on the planet if they have a good day but of course they are not in the same shape as 3 years ago and they don't seem to be very consolidated at the moment.
That being said i really hope Barca goes through here. In a match between a club with tradition and a sheikh / oligarch or whatever toy club i will always root for the former.

Considering that the top teams (from the 5 top leagues) were threatening from breaking free from UEFA and creating a league on their own, I guess they had to give them something. That something is additional spots for teams from their leagues. In all honestly, that is better. The matches are more competitive when it's between top teams. I would rather see an additional English/Spanish/Italian... team than one from Hungary who will end up losing all their matches with 3+ goals difference. Hungary was just an example. Any other country, whose league is not on par with the best, works as well. It might not be fair, but it's business.   

EDIT: Prominent Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri just posted the exclusive news that the matches between Benfica and Arsenal will be played in Rome, Real Sociedad-Manchester United probably in Turin, Italy, and Atletico-Chelsea in Warsaw, Poland.

It is one of the games that I wonder what is gonna happen the most. Barcelona don't have a bad performance like they had many weeks ago. This will help them be really focused on this game for certain. But still a tough game is waiting for them then. Because PSG have a better squad quality and so better alternatives for most of the players. Barcelona have a tactic that depends more on Messi and Griezmann. If they don't get injured until the CL game, Barcelona might withstand PSG in the first game. But I see PSG as a little more favourite side for the first game.

I agree with you favorite PSG could defeat Barcelona on Camp Nou looking many mainstay player Barcelona injury exactly with defender after missing Gerard Pique more than one month, I think Lenglet and young defender is not enough how to stop Mpabbe and Neymar than Iccardi, look Barcelona will loss with score 1-2.

Leipzig - Liverpool in Hungary

It is one of the interesting draws. Leipzig have been much better than Liverpool if we compare their performances in their leagues. If Liverpool don't solve their defensive problems which seems less likely, both games can be painful for them. I expect Leipzig to play much better in the first game and get a win with a 1-goal difference. I say 1-goal difference because Liverpool are strong on attacking thanks to having players like especially Salah and Mane. So I don't expect them to have problems on scoring.

The result of the matches between PSG and Barcelona will depend on the form in which Messi on the one hand and Neymar and Mpabbe are suitable for this game. Everything else does not matter. I think that Barcelona will go to the next round.

The last news I read was that Angel Di Maria and Marco Verratti were injured against Olympique de Marseille. Di Maria injured her left thigh, while Verratti's ribs were injured. Most likely they will not be able to play in the first leg in Barcelona. If this happens, this is Barca's advantage. In addition, in their last meeting, Barca were able to win 6-1 to qualify for the UCL quarter-finals. All It is only the history of Barcelona who excel and for sure many people are betting on Barca's victory. I see this as an advantage loss for Leipzig, Atletico Madrid and Gladbach. Maybe we still don't have supporters in the matches yet but playing in your own stadium still is a plus. Maybe it won't affect Leipzig and Atletico Madrid much but Gladbach is in a worse situation now I think.  Manchester City could win that game easier than I expect. Of course the things I say will be depending on the conditions of these stadiums too.

I think for Leipzig is have any district from Germany government keep away with covid 19 cases and almost team wanna back to Germany have stay in more than 15 days and with other team like Atletico Madrid why they have play on neutral stadium, what happen there I don't see any news Atletico Madrid vs Liverpool have play in Romania. Bad thing so far after pandemic covid 19 last year almost match without supporter and now team have move from their stadium.

If Neymar is unable to play in the first match, I think Barcelona will win the match. Barcelona now has a great forward lineup. Almost everyone is in form. Their only weakness was their defense. Koeman will take advantage of this opportunity if Neymar is injured. He may use a new tactic to keep Mbappe from scoring

Croatian online portal Index published an article from the French L`Equipe about the upcoming changes in the competition system of the Champions League.
The UEFA Executive Board will discuss this next month.
The proposed changes should be valid from the 2024/2025 season.
Some of the proposed changes:
- One unique group with 36 clubs instead of 8 groups as of now
- Matches will be played on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
- A total of 180 matches will be played instead of 96, which will significantly increase the income of the competition
- Each club will play at least 10 games
- The first eight clubs after ten rounds go to the round of 16, and the clubs placed from 9th to 24th place will play the playoffs for the round of 16
- Four additional places in relation to the current system will most likely be filled by 1 club from France, the champion with the highest club odds from a country that does not have a direct placement in the Champions League (Croatia?) and two clubs with the highest club odds that did not qualify for the Champions League through the domestic championship (Liverpool?).

What do you think about the proposed changes?
UEFA seems to be afraid that rich clubs could leave the UEFA competition and organize their own super league, so UEFA wants to avoid such a scenario.
It all comes down to profit in the end and rich clubs want more money and a guaranteed place in the Champions League.
