So, some statistics have emerged regarding the most surprising CL victories in the last 10 years. According to Euro Club Index, yesterday's Sheriff win against Real is the most unexpected one, which should not be that surprising.

What really is surprising and interesting to see is just how more unlikely it was compared to others on the list - Sheriff had 1.4% chance to win and the first follower is Celtic's 2-1 win against Barcelona in 2012 with odds placed at 7.1%, meaning that the Sheriff's win was 5 times more unlikely than any other in the last 10 years. Really an amazing achievement, shame they will probably end in the Europa League after all.

I've said it a few times, but I'm not sure Ronaldo was a great signing. He will certainly add goals, but he's not the sort of player who is fully involved for 90 minutes. If you are wanting to be a top team, then you cannot afford any weaknesses. Man United had weaknesses, and signing Ronaldo won't reduce them. He adds to the team, but not in the right area.

Currently, Ronaldo has a performance that is still fairly good, and I think the 15 million euros spent by Man United was worth it. Since he moved to Real Madrid in 2009, Ronaldo has become a player who rarely helps out defense, so because of that Ronaldo will have no problem playing the full 90 minutes (though he's not young anymore).

In my opinion, one of the signings of Man United that didn't make a difference was Jadon Sancho because, until now, he has not been able to make a meaningful contribution.

Benfica - Barcelona could be also an interesting game. Benfica are having an incredible form in their league. And in their first CL game, they drew with Dynamo Kyiv by a goalless result. But they played better than their opponent also. When it comes to Barcelona, they are really inconsistent. They won their last game against Levante by 3-0 in their league but they were simply crushed by Bayern Munich in the CL (3-0). It was a home game also. In this game, I still see Barcelona as one step ahead because they are a more capable team. But it might end with a very close gap.

Great signing or not depend how contribution Ronaldo so far, I think made 5 goal from four match is not bad for Ronaldo contribution and become the goal creator for Manchester United on champion league or primer league, exactly with Ronaldo signing Manchester United get many profitable from his performance and he give income with shirt Ronaldo sold more than other player on Manchester United right now, just two time Ronaldo failed to make Manchester United win I think is not bad and will proof tonight can continue to make goal?

Villarreal are not an easy team to beat, last season Man Utd lost in the Europa League final to The Yellow Submarine. But this season Man Utd are much stronger and have new ammunition in Ronaldo.

I felt like liquidated from the results last night hehe and I'm pretty sure it happened to a lot of people too. I completely got it wrong with PSG vs Man City but that's a lot tougher match to call than Real Madrid vs Sheriff at Santiago Bernabeu.

No choice but to move on and bounce back in the next games. Who else is thinking of a Bayern Munich and Man United parlay? Both teams will play at home.

It's not a wasteful signing even with 15 million euros paid back with massive Jersey sales so I think Ronaldo is still effective for Man United and has scored 5 goals so that's good for me and not a weakness for Manchester.
Well Jadon Sancho I don't see a good contribution even his ability is still not visible and Ole may still doubt him but Ronaldo is the one who puts him first.
So we'll see how ronaldo will score another UCL goal? I expect that to happen.

Juventus are going to play a home game against Chelsea tonight. According to the odds of the game, Chelsea are the favourite team in this game. Chelsea got a defeat against Manchester City in their last game and they want to have a good result at the end of this game to gather strength. I don't think that the players will be out-of-morale. It's weird. Real Madrid's performance is inconsistent and unpredictable. In La Liga, they look good but after a big win against Mallorca, their performance seems to be dropping (draw against Villarreal and had to lose against the Sheriff). Real Madrid play at home and they played a full-strength side but they failed to get all 3 points from Sheriff Tiraspol.

In my opinion, Real Madrid's defense looks fragile and Sheriff Tiraspol could take advantage of it, though they had few chances.

This is Real Madrid's old problem. Last season, Real Madrid had such games in which they lost with complete dominance, and now, with very weak defensive play, such results will be frequent. It is difficult for Madrid to play against teams that have been on the defensive for the whole game and sometimes go on the attack.

Real Madrid by name is a team that knows from the start of any season that almost all the teams that will face and play, will deal with it with a defensive orientation. So I don't believe that because Sheriff plays defensively Real faces some unexpected and huge problem. They have a lot of chances to score and finish the game but they stumble in a very good kipper (for yesterday) and in Sheriff's big luck in attack, with 3 shots on target delivering 2 goals. For sure though, Real needs to build up their defensive strategy and cohesion. Ramos and Varane are obviously missing for this season's Real team...
