Clearly Group A was the joy to hold, we will watch great games there. Club Brugge must be devastated after this draw. Group E was also pretty good, Bayern and Barca is on the same group. I think the weakest groups were F and G, they are more like Europe League level teams. The last of all Group C will be the most competitive group and we will watch the toughest games there. All teams have similar level and everything can happen. Borussia Dortmund is the favorite but their place is not secure. Sporting became champion in Portugal after 18 years, Ajax is like a factory, they have promising young talents. Beşiktaş is the best and only Turkish side and can beat all odds here. I'm patiently waiting for first matchday.

Of the Portuguese teams in the competition, it was the one that was in the worst group!
If you manage to finish third it will be great! But even that place will be hard to reach, you have to play really well. We'll see.

Benfica got lucky to even pass PSV to the group stage. I dont think Portuguese teams can do something big this year in the champions league. Maybe in the europe league or confrence league they can go far

Indeed Group A games will be very tight ones and those 3 teams should not lose a single point against unlucky Brugge.
Group B is also interesting since teams level are pretty close: ATM, LFC, Milan +/- Porto.
Group C matches will be very Unpredictable except maybe for Dortmund but we all know how laggy they are.
Group D, E and H winners shouldn't be hard to tell tho.
Group F and G teams are close enough to know precisely the favorite teams to pass.

Group A looks so juicy and those matches between Manchester city and PSG will be like 2 finals already at start of the champions league. Plus if Cristiano Ronaldo joins City it will be again a great battle between Messi and Ronaldo

These fixtures are pretty much a rematch of last season fixtures where Man City played PSG, Atletico Madrid faced Liverpool and Inter Milan played Real Madrid. There’re some other good games to look at for, Bayern Munich vs Barcelona, Chelsea vs Juventus and Ac Milan and Liverpool(Historical game). Group B looks like the group of death with these big guns all in same group. It’s more like a UEFA Revenge league than the UEFA champions league . Paris Saint German will be looking to take revenge on Man city while Athletico de Madrid will also want to revenge on Liverpool and Manchester United too, on Villarreal.

I don't think Benfica has a chance and we won't see any success this year. They are in a very difficult group, it will be difficult for them to beat Dynamo Kiev. If they draw against other teams, maybe they can advance to the next round.
I'm wondering which teams will go to the next round in Group F the most at the moment. Manchester United will go to the next round comfortably, but we'll see how the other teams do

An amazing group to get as a Liverpool supporter. I'm really confident in our team and don't look for the easiest route out of the group stages anymore, so to get Atletico and Milan was really great. We have some unfinished business with both of them so kicking one out of the CL will be fun.
I'm kinda annoyed with Porto though, I have a feeling we get them every year.

There are some really weak groups again, especially United's and Sevilla's. They look more like EL than CL but I guess that happens every year.

2 players from Chelsea and 1 from Manchester city. ( I will bet for Kante), no doubt he is a player who creates Chelsea as Lion of this year

@blue Snow this will be a tough call because De Bruyne helped city win the league title, and Kante helped Chelsea win the champions league. However if it were to me then I would give the award to Kante, because he’s one of the best player in modern football and deserves this award.

You got it wrong fam. Congratulations to Jorginho. I may not have rated him highly though but he was very instrumental for the National team and Tuchel Chelsea side. He obviously cleared my doubt about his performance when he over displayed what I expected of him, especially during the Euros. He was the pole man, the game reader, the midfield professor. I’m glad these positions on the field of play is now noticeable and not only the scoring positions. Kante was outstanding and exceptional during the season but Jorginho won more European trophies than him. They both won the Uefa champions league and Uefa super cup together but He Jorginho won the Euros 2020 with the national team. That’s the edge.

Cannot say they did not deserve it though because at this highest level if you cannot big Sheriff, you do not deserve to be in group stages.

For a club like Sheriff, even reaching the group stage is already a big victory. For reaching the group stage, decent prize money is already relying, which definitely motivates the teams very strongly. The sheriff is definitely the opening of the season for me, let's see what they will be capable of next, but I think that it will be much more difficult to play in the group.

Young Boys were more fortunate with their rivals, there weren't enough strong rivals in their way, such as Monaco. By the way, Shakhtar coped with Monaco, although the beginning of the match looked very difficult for them. Unambiguously Monaco looked stronger, attacked more, but this was not enough to win at Shakhtar. I told, that Shakhtar is a strong team and they always play to the end.

I bet you the prize money already they will get for Champions League group stage is already more than worth the entire squad (or maybe minus their first two most expensive players).

I think so too. I do wish we don't keep getting Porto (my brain tells me we seem to have met them too many times in recent seasons haha) but I'm happy to get Milan back in too, we have much history together. Like you, I don't want an "easy" group as I much prefer getting the tougher teams early, it sort of gives you a launchpad later on in KO and finals. And it's perfect to get the chance for revenge. I still also want to meet Real later on, really not happy they took us out and when we last met, we didn't have VVD... no offense to our boys but Ozan and Nat Phillips were just so, so poor.

Chelsea and Juventus look like they should very easily progress... I worry Lille, top seed in their group, might even crash out. United also look like they should easily go through.

Deja vu tells me another LIV-CHE Last 16 or QF on the cards, ugh.

Atalanta has a solid group they could have gotten worst honestly. But Atalanta has an amazing team this season so i think they can even make surprise and pass this group and go to the knockout faze. But still it will be a really intresting group to watch

Group A should be really fun for Manchester City and PSG. Actually, I was hoping to see them clashing this season again but this was not what I wanted.    I hoped to see them in the final stage or right before it. Leipzig shouldn't be underestimated of course. If I'm not wrong, PSG and them were in the same group in the last season also. But this time, PSG are even more powerful with Lionel Messi. Poor Club Brugge. They have near zero chance for even qualifying for the Europa League.

The match between PSG vs Man City will be star match when both star-studded team play each other, That match will live up to its billing, it's a match every soccer fan wouldn't like to miss, there might be a possible meeting between Messi and Ronaldo, if the latter eventually move to Man City, however it's obvious both team will qualify from that group at the expense of RB Leipzig and Club Bruges whose chances of qualification is very slim.

I wonder where is the hell group that usually happens every season, and can group B be called the hell group this season? I don't know, because I think now every group gets a competing team that has the same level in each group. I mean, this season it looks like every group has at least three favorites and one team as dark horses and I see that in every group at the moment.

Group A is really awesome. I can't wait to see Manchester City vs PSG and PSG vs Manchester City games.    These are the biggest favourites for the Champions League title this season. PSG have Lionel Messi from now on. And Manchester City are really close to signing Cristiano Ronaldo. It will be great to see these two legends playing against each other again.

Lol right!  And if the deal doesn’t follow through guess which club that’s capable of acquiring him.  PSG  .  That’s if they finally decide to sell Mbappe to Real Madrid that is.  If not, Ronaldo could go back to Real Madrid before the transfer window closes.  IMHO.

A group - City - PSG will be hot, but Leipzig is also capable to fight.
B group - Probably most ballanced group. Liverpool and Atletico are favorites probably, but Miland and Porto is also powerful.
C group - 3 similar level teams and obvious underdog Besiktas
D group - almost same group like last year, just Gladbach replaced by Sheriff. I hope it will be same interesting like last season
E group - as Barca fan I fear of Bayern, but I think we are capable to beat Benfica and Dynamo at least.
F group - repeat of last Europa league final, plus Atalanta. But I think it's not bad group for MU.
G group - is it Europa league or what? This group looks most difficult to predict.
H group - easy life for Chelsea and Juventus.

Groups A, D, E look quite good, definitely good groups, specially group A, that seems like the best group to watch. Groups C and G do not look that tempting, they could have been a europa cup group all we know and it wouldn't really be that weird, group F is literally europa cup finalists 50% so that is kind of like that as well but they grew so much larger in the span of 2 seasons so that is normal to see them there, plus a rematch for Man United team as well to beat them, maybe even twice, still wouldn't be as good as getting that cup but at least a revenge chance is a good thing.

Long story short it is a good group draw, I think it is going to be fun, too many games all at once coming in very soon for the football world, we are getting close to that period where teams have league games, cup games, and European games all back to back constantly giving us so many games to bet on.

It won't happen because Ronaldo choose Manchester United, not Manchester City. I also expect group games to be exactly like "group games" because there are different tactics and strategy. Playing in semi final vs. playing in group games are very different. I think both teams will advance to next round but who will be the first and which teams will draw each other, it's all mind games and we will see how it goes after first five games. Sometimes you finish first in your group and you draw with stronger team in other group, these things can happen every year. This is still the best group and I'm very excited to watch City vs. PSG again at least two more times.

it is relatively evenly distributed and in the stronger groups it looks like rank 1 and 2 are already gone, but I am excite so see how Red Bull Leipzig will do in the group with City and PSG. If somehow Leipzig can manage to play the first two games well with decent results, I think that group could turn into the hell group you are talking about. If they only get 1 point out of the first two games it is already over I guess.

I don't know yet what to think of Leipzig this season, still too early. They lost some very good players and it is not like they have world class players sitting all over the bench. But they are definitely a team that is very hard to beat at least in home games. When they perform well it won't be easy even for teams like City and PSG.

It's funny that both moneybags (Manchester City and PSG) fell into the same group. I understand that this is unrealistic, but I will hope that Leipzig and Bruges will leave Group A in the next round. Yeah, I've heard about Ronaldo's choice. But the deal finished really fast for Manchester United. They just made an offer to Juventus and it was accepted right away. These things all happened in only 24 hours. I would really like to see a final game between Manchester Utd and PSG now. I'm OK for even seeing them clash before the final. I would really like to see Messi and Ronaldo playing against each other by both of them being at different clubs this time.
