I think umpires will not be able to save England this time around. We have full fifth day left and England have only 8 wickets in hand. If Aussies can take 2 or more wickets in the first session of the last day, they can easily seal this match in their favor.

England have already lost two wickets without scoring a single run on the board and now they have to survive the entire day, i am sure they will not look to win the game rather they will look to play as long as they can and pray that the rain gods will help them to draw the match, from the way things are going it is highly unlikely England will survive the entire day but if they are able to draw the match from this stage it would be another miracle.

Australia should win the match now as it will be very hard for England to try and survive a whole day on a day 5 wicket. With Hazelwood in top form and Cummins and Strac bowling well it will be hard to see England lasting the day. Lyon may also be a factor as he hasn't really done much in this match so far. Once again Warner has failed with the bat so he must be dropped for the 5th test match and Finch or Khawaja come into the team. Smith once again was the man to help get Australia the runs needed to declare. He now has 9 consecutive scores of 50+ runs against England which is a record for a batsman playing against England. Smith can also beat Bradman's record for the most runs scoreed in an Ashes series in the next test match however for him to achieve this he will need 304 runs in that match, I think if he didn't miss the third test match he would of achieved this long standing record.

It's possible for England to lose the match, considering the fact that day 5 isn't favorable for batsman at all, they already have lost 2 wickets. I didn't think that this match will get an output.

Another poor decision by the umpires in favor of England. Marnus Labuschagne given out LBW despite hawkeye showing that the ball is just touching the bails. Australia in some trouble at 24/3, but Steve Smith is still out there. They are leading by 220 and I guess another 130 runs would be enough to get a 2-1 lead in favor of Australia. On the other hand, if England could get Australia out for 100 or below, then they may be having a real chance.

The umpires may or maynot be able to save England this time around (there is still a chance). But I would like them to play honest cricket rather than engaging in boorish behaviour.  In particular, I am not pleased with the following points:

1. Even during this test match, some of the close decisions went in favor of England. One example is the Marnus Labuschagne dismissal.

2. Yesterday, English bowlers were deliberately trying to slow down the over rate. They were going at 10 overs per hour, which is at least 2-3 overs less than the average. This sort of cowardice may not help them to save the match. But I guess the ICC will be OK with it, as the Brits are their blue eyed boys. Had any other team done this, then the captain should have got a 3 match ban.

3. English audience proved again and again that they are subhuman filth. They were booing Steve Smith throughout the series. Smith made a mistake, admitted it and in the end silently endured the very harsh punishment that was handed to him without any complaints. I can still understand these uncivilized barbarians booing him, when he goes out to bat. But booing him after he returned to the pavillion after scoring 211? That was something only the Brits are capable of doing.

For the Ashes, we are again set to see another full of excitement 5th day and this match can go either to Australia team or  draw but i am expecting surprises throughout the day.

You do realize that England can simply defend for a long time and survive since they still have many wickets resulting in a draw, don't you? The result is still not clear.

This just goes to show how dependent the Australian team is on Smith which is not a good thing since this is a team game. Labuschagne is the only other consistent performer in this series while the remaining batsmen are out of form.

Bangladesh needs 371 more runs to win, it's 4th day and quite possible to chase this score if they got some good partnership. So far, Bangladesh is standing at 27/0, Shadman is playing like one day match, lol. That's what people call immaturity. There's a lot of times ahead them, but what's the reason to be in hurry and give the wicket?

There was a time when the Indian team had a similar dependence on Virat Kohli. Yes.. cricket is a team sport and over-dependence on any single batsmen is not a good sign. But for now, the Australians will be happy with the way things are turning out. An away win, and that too in a series against England will go a long way in boosting the morale of the Australian team. They are performing so well now, that any memory of their horrible form during last year (when Smith was not playing) is rapidly fading away...

The only test match being played between Afghanistan and Bangladesh is all about going to end soon and Afg team is showing a good progress. They made 342 and 260 runs in their innings and Bangladesh on other hand managed to score 205 and struggling in their last innings at 130/6. Bangladesh require another 268 runs to win and 4 wickets remaining, and this is the 4th day of the match. So, Afghanistan will be really happy with their performance.

Australia have the opportunity to wind up the English side within the day as they have plenty of overs left and the tail is exposed, Cummins and Hazlewood  are bowling really well but Hazlewood is yet to pick up the wicket but creating more pressure and Cummins have taken all the wickets, i do not expect anything special from Starc but with the tail exposed he could clean them up with pace.

Australia is winning this so easily. Because Stokes failed miserably in both innings. Nobody from England can match upto Smith and he just missed one match and England managed to win it. It means Aus mainly depends on one player who plays tremendously well for them. Still England have managed to bring down the number of runs from 380+ to 211. 7th wicket gone now.
