The result was unexpected, I think Madrid were able to win. They struggle make goals. Madrid were even very strong in possession, but they were difficult to penetrate Elche. Even Benzema missed a penalty. I was surprised they lost 2-0. I think Madrid will lose again, but luckily they were able to make the same score. But this result makes the gap in points difference with Sevilla even smaller.

they should have lost the game though, 4 points clear still. with a last minutes winning goal from frenkie de jong and a huge blow for real sociedad to get  a draw against getafe despite they are dominating the whole game , barcelona are back to top 5 now for the first time in xavi era. watching barcelona game makes everyone feel sleepy im pretty sure , what a boring game.

Yes keeping the fourth position should be their target now and try to get up to the third i dont think they will rank any higher considering their poor performance it will be difficult even today with all their defenders present they still managed to conceid two goals.

Atletico is in 4th place right now, they only need to survive until the end of the season for a UCL ticket. If their performance can be better in the next matches, or even win almost all the remaining matches, they are possible to overtake Real Betis and Sevilla. I think it is too early if we judge Atletico only can finish in 4th place. The current performance isn't a reflection of their performance in the next few matches. Atletico Madrid isn't a small club, it isn't impossible if they surprise us tomorrow.

And after that, they hoped for Real Madrid to lose points against Elche somehow. And this really happened. Real Madrid experienced the same thing Sevilla did. They also were 2-0 behind home and this was really shocking. But they still managed to draw with them by the same score Sevilla had. And Sevilla kept the gap with Real Madrid thanks to it.

The rivalry between the two will continue from both Sevilla and Real Madrid who are in unlucky conditions. The score was drawn and the problem was that Elche, who was so far below Real Madrid's performance, also in terms of scores. Benzema's ideal is still not recovered. Here they are struggling to continue to maintain their rankings and on the other hand, Sevilla is still not going to give up on pushing Real Madrid faster for the next match.

In cup tournament, smaller clubs can make surprise because they only need one or two outstanding matches than usual and go next. If they can beat top clubs in La Liga, they can repeat it in Coppa Del Rey. Especially when clubs like Real Madrid don't completely focus for this Cup. Their main targets are La Liga and Champions League so there is more risk to be defeated in Coppa del Rey.

Yep, smaller clubs often surprise us in cup tournaments like in Copa Del Rey. But if we take a look at the qualified teams in the current stage (Quater Final), most of them aren't really small clubs. Only Cadiz and Mallorca can be categorized as small/weak clubs, while other teams are strong clubs/big clubs already. Unfortunately, we may miss these two clubs in the next stage because I am not sure they will win against their opponents.

Regarding Real Madrid, they won't miss the title of Copa Del Rey. I believe they will do their best to be the winner since they are always hungry for the trophy. Copa Del Rey isn't a small competition, the trophy of this tournament is a quite prestigious trophy. So, Real Madrid probably also focuses on winning the title in this tournament.

This is normal in matches any team can score a goal if indeed they are in luck although sometimes it doesn't make sense. Elche had 2 shots on target and both goals  
I'm also confused about who deserves to be called lucky whether Elche or Real Madrid because Madrid saved 2 goals before the last minute one of them through a penalty and in the 92nd minute, should we say that Madrid is luckier ?

Real Madrid should have learned when they beat Elche in the Copa del Rey, at that time Real Madrid also had difficulty facing Elche.

I think elche tried to score 2 goals and to get a draw with real madrid  I never thought of it to be like this. Elche performance was not bad , they performed well to have draw the game with real madrid which I thought real madrid will win.

We have an Espanyol - Betis game today. Betis are definitely the team being favoured in this game but it can still be a close game. Bookmakers also think in that way as Betis have an odd around 2.4. But I still think that Betis can win this by one goal difference. Espanyol might make them difficulties most of the time but Betis would make use of a win like that. They are in a great shape and Espanyol might not be able to resist them till the end.

Those who showed favorites for betting were not mistaken.  The odds were very good.  Those who evaluated this odds won well because Real Betis defeated Espanyol very comfortably 4-1.  When Espanyol scores the first goal, everyone may have thought that Espanyol would win.  They're playing indoors.  However, Real Betis recovered very well.  They were leading 2-1 in the first half.  They won the game 4-1.

The previous meeting of the two teams ended in a 2-2 draw with one red card for Real Betis. and now Betis did not waste the opportunity. they played better to lead 1-4. and there was also one red card, this time for Espanyol.
Real Betis did well. consistent play and their very prolific striker.

Real Betis' squad quality is very good.  I can say that this win was an expected win.  They were also very superior in terms of play against Espanyol.  As a result, they won 4-1.  It would be very ambitious to call it a championship race, but I still think they will finish the League at the top.  I think Real Betis will do better next year.

Of course Sevilla hopes Elche can beat Real Madrid. Yes, even though in the end Elche couldn't win, I think Sevilla are still happy with the result of the Real Madrid match. The difference of 4 points has not changed until this week, as Sevilla and Real Madrid both drew in their last match. Last time Sevilla were held to a draw by their visitors Celta.

Last week was great for Betis especially. Because they destroyed Espanyol by 4-1 and made a superb comeback from a 1-0 disadvantage. They are playing very eager in every single game of theirs these days. And while they were winning, Real Madrid and Sevilla both got draws by the same score (2-2). This was good for Betis as they decreased the point difference with them. But I still don't think that Betis can catch the front two teams. I accept that they are having an incredible season but I think that the best place they can finish the season at is the 3rd place.
