Of course, Barcelona and Real Madrid are the two most dominant teams in winning the title in La Liga. However, Atletico Madrid can occasionally break this dominance as they did in the 2020-2021 season. The good news about them is that Diego Simeone has extended his contract until 30 June 2027, which is of course good for the team and its mentality.

Atletico Madrid is always capable of finishing in the top four of La Liga, if this team has the finances and loyalty of fans like Madrid and Barcelona throughout the world. Atletico can compete fiercely, with the players they want to bring in. I mean, Atletico could make their squad as competitive as Madrid or Barcelona.

However, this team is still one of the elite teams in the Spanish League. without having too many star players, Atletico has won the La Liga trophy. Apart from that, this team is always able to make things difficult for its two rivals. The proof is, in the first meeting ATM was able to overthrow Real Madrid.  Well, on the second point we agree.  If Barcelona and Madrid underperform in La Liga, ATM has the potential to take advantage of the momentum to win the La Liga trophy. So far, ATM is ranked 4th and they have one match postponed. At any time, it can be useful for them to stick closely to points and even overtake the points of the team above them. and yes, that's what Atletico Madrid is like.

Not a few clubs are reluctant to release their players to strengthen their respective countries, the main reason is injuries when they return. As far as I remember, if I'm not mistaken, UEFA will provide compensation to clubs if a player is injured while playing for their country national team, this aims to compensate the club for their losses. For example, Neymar injury while defending Brazil in a World Cup qualifying match, FIFA will provide compensation to the Al Hilal club. Taking out Atletico for the La Liga title race might be safe but they’re team that have always gotten UCL spot over the past 10-15 years, they’re a pretty top team and have the squad depth to gun foe the Top 4 spot and they do it effortlessly with little or no star players, last time they even won the title is two years ago which makes them a strong competitor and threat to both Realmadrid and Barcelona.

This season Girona is gradually make good moves yet without much recognition because most of the attention Is on the bigger teams and it may end up in a big surprise to everyone if they later turn out the league champions because since this season started, they have consistently climbed up the table until now they are at the top of the table.
