Maybe the performance has dropped a bit but there is still time if Girona can plan again they will be able to raise their position at the top of the points table again.

I usually hate losing, and I did manage to wager on Athletico Madrid to win, and did not see them doing this badly and it was a shock to me and I assume most of the world that they lost this. In where I played, %76 of the people bet on them to win, and look at the result, not only they lost, they didn't even lose barely they lost by a big margin. It happens and it's normal and we should not be shocked about it at all.

We should see this as normal. In football sometimes these type of things happens and we need to learn to live with it, there is really nothing that we can do to change this on the long run. La Liga title are only for the competitive teams, none of these teams will easily give up despite the challenges they're facing in the league. Girona was serious in the beginning of the season and they eventually climb the #1 position and couldn't maintain that position for long, thereby giving up for second spot, perhaps they're hitting harder than before to reclaimed their spots. They're still striving to gain access to streak winnings. Real Madrid have some opponent they're finding really hard to win this season and there are also some of these opposition that doesn't portray a single threat.

This is what sometimes surprises me. Girona who lost to Real Madrid were able to win against Rayo. While Real Madrid had to struggle to get 1 point against Rayo. So in conclusion, Girona's chances are still quite open to still compete for the La Liga title.  In every match a team is always in different conditions. Good statistics do not guarantee the team to always win. So with a difference of 6 points does not make Real Madrid safe for now.

That is why sometimes it very difficult to predict a game, Girona game against Rayo Vallecano, I still respect Rayo Vallecano the way they hold Girona throughout the first half which I wasn't surprised because of what they played against Real Madrid, Real Madrid find it difficult to win the game, having their early goal give them more confidence that they will win the game but  when the time goes they realised it not what they think, and to my greatest surprised they have poor performance and  before their game against Real Madrid they have lost three consecutive matches which gives me more confidence that Real Madrid are going to win the game.

Actually, the red card that Chavarria got was absolutely unnecessary in my opinion. The second you look out was absolutely a dumb challenge by him. Why you do go and throw your elbow toward the neck of the opponent player when you are already on a yellow card?

Anyway, I agree with you, I also can't deny Rayo Vallecano performed well. And towards the end, Savio somehow got two goals even though he was not doing a lot throughout the whole match. Was kind of a frustrating match till the 90th minute for him to be honest. Girona seems to be holding on to the second position.
