MATCH: NINJAS IN PYJAMAS VS TEAM EMPIRE
Date: Tuesday, June 16th @ 14:00 CEST

Team Empire just promoted their academy squad, Team Empire Hope to the main team. That means they did something good right? Well yes, in the last month or so they’ve played really good and they were beating really good European / CIS teams. They’ve deserved it. They’ve continued their performance on the day 1 of this tournament by beating Alliance with a clean 2-0. That was a shocker as most of the people expected that Alliance would take that series easily, but it didn’t happen. NiP managed to play a very close series against Team Liquid, but in the end they lost with 1-2. Even though I do think that NiP is a much stronger and compact squad on the paper, Team Empire has a chance here. Especially if they will play like they did vs Alliance yesterday. NiP are on a 4 match losing streak, while Team Empire broke their losing streak yesterday vs Alliance. That could go to all 3 maps, but I would place safer bet here, on NiP. NiP is showing potential and even if they are in little crisis at the moment, I believe in them, that they could break out on the top of the EU Dota scene. Team Empire is still a little question mark for me. Let’s see how they will perform in the next few days.

MATCH: TEAM NIGMA VS OG
Date: Tuesday, June 16th @ 17:00 CEST

This must be the Dota 2 match of the day. One of the best two teams in Europe right now facing each other again. Their last clash was 2 days ago at the BLAST Bounty Hunt tournament, where OG took the 2-0 win over Team Nigma. Seems like both teams are growing their confidence and rising up in their form as the season goes on. OG looked pretty good in the Bounty Hunt tournament compared to the previous tournaments they’ve been playing. For Nigma I can say the same. I would say both teams are currently even in terms of their form and gameplay, but neither of the teams can match Team Secret right now, for example. In the last 1 month or so, they played 3 times, and OG took the win all 3 times. Topson is finally getting familiar with Dota 2 again, after a long long break, and together with Sumail they are a really unbreakable duo. Even though odds are kinda even on both teams, I would give a slight edge here to OG to take this match. They just looked slightly better in their previous matches.

MATCH: ALLIANCE VS TEAM LIQUID
Date: Tuesday, June 16th @ 20:00 CEST

Yesterday, Alliance dropped a series vs Team Empire with 0-2. Looked like Nikobaby played 1v5 again. S4 played really bad, and there was no team play. So I am not sure how they will perform today vs a much stronger team like Team Liquid. Alliance didn’t take a single map win in their last 3 matches. Looks like they’ve dropped into some crysis I would say. After their 2nd place at ESL One Birmingham 2020 – Online: Europe & CIS, their consistency in results and match win is no more. They are dropping maps and series everywhere. On the other side Team Liquid is performing when they need it the most. Don’t get me wrong, they are not one of the consistent teams neither, but they are doing much better then Alliance lately. In the last 25 days they’ve played vs Alliance 2 times, and both times they’ve won the match with clean 2-0. Liquid has a solid 2-1 win over NiP from day 1 of this event, and I do believe they can continue their solid form in this match vs Alliance too. Alliance is in a knockdown, and Liquid will use this to win this for sure. I’ve said many times, how Alliance can’t always be addicted to Nikobaby’s plays and individual performance. If the rest of the team is not backing them up, they will lose. It won’t be easy for Liquid, but I expect them to win this match.

[DOTA 2] We're going into day 3 of BEYOND EPIC EU/CIS tournament. Yesterday we hit all 3 picks, let’s see what Wednesday can bring us. We have 3 new clashes:

This should be a really interesting match. This is the first match for CIS squad FlyToMoon in this league. They didn’t participate in BLAST Bounty Hunt last week so they had some other matches to play. Their last 2 matches were in Parimatch League, and they have a win over Unique and a 0-2 loss vs Winstrike. Since then, on June 6th, they haven’t played any official matches, while NiP were active on the battlefield in all leagues. NiP beat Team Empire with an easy 2-0 yesterday, and that was their opening match. Before that they had a 4 match losing streak. I feel like they’ve played really good vs Empire, and I do believe they can have a good match vs another CIS squad, FlyToMoon on day 3 of this event. This will be a very close match I feel like, and maybe FlyToMoon is a slight favourite here. However, I do feel NiP has the quality to beat FlyToMoon for sure. Odds on NiP win are amazing. It’s just that FlyToMoon hasn’t played for quite some time now, and they are a big question mark for me currently.

Team Nigma lost their match yesterday vs OG 1-2. However, the match was extremely good and fun to watch, and their map 1 was a really good stomp. Nothing to feel sorry for, as OG is really rising up in form, and they are getting harder and harder to beat. Team Unique played their first match in this league on day 1 of this event. They’ve lost to Vikin.gg 0-2, and they showed very poor performance. Even though I do think Unique can be a pretty solid team, they can’t win this match vs Nigma who is currently one of the best squads in Europe. Their last match was 20 days ago in ESL One Birmingham and Nigma took a win easily with 2-0. I do believe we will see this kind of game today too. Team Nigma has a high chance of a 2-0 score vs Unique. Unique is on a 3 match losing streak, and they took only 1 map from their opponents in their last 3 games. This is a very risky handicap, as Nigma can’t lose a map, but I do believe everything is on their side today.

Team Unique - Team Nigma: Team Nigma -1.5, 1.49 @ MY BETSLIP

One interesting history fact about this match. Team Empire has never managed to take a map off Team Liquid in an official Dota 2 match in the last 2 years. Team Liquid are big favourites in this match. They had a perfect opening in this league with 2 wins out of the 2 matches. While Team Empire did surprise Alliance on day 1 with a victory, they did fall to NiP on the day 2 of the event. They just looked lost vs NiP who played almost flawlessly. It will be even harder for them vs a team like Liquid. A team who is much stronger and much consistent then NiP are currently. Odds on Liquid win are so low, that a -1.5 handicap is a good pick here. Yes, it could be risky if we can witness Team Empire from day 1 again, but I do believe Liquid won’t let that happen. Liquid beat Alliance today and they looked very good, with amazing drafts and rotations. I doubt the CIS squad can do much here.

G2 being number 1 in the world is a shock for me even if its new and Astralis on back foot, still Im surprised they have come together like that.    If Kenny is on form maybe they are the team to thrive this year and win next major even.    They just won ENCE's map pick so this could quickly ruin this 3 map bet.   They played train so well they were killing off players not even in sight a few times but train is a biased map where as Mirage is not (as much), so maybe ENCE can reset and come back for that.

MIBR upset Furia as clear favourites in that last game, it wasnt listed when I went to bet so glad I missed that one.

If win my bets today, I might push the winnings onto EG over Liquid @2.5 odds as I think thats too much of a sway against them.   Thats just my personal bias rather then any informed estimation, I'll try to catch that game though.

[DOTA 2] We are going into day 4 of the BEYOND EPIC EU/CIS tournament. The situation is getting pretty hot as some teams are falling apart and we still haven’t seen Team Secret perform in this tournament. Here is the analysis for the day 4 matches.

Alliance - Ninjas in Pyjamas: Ninjas in Pyjamas ML, 2.20 @ MY BETSLIP
ViKin.gg - Team Nigma: Team Nigma -1.5, 1.85 @ MY BETSLIP
B8 - Team Unique: B8 1.5, 1.44 @ MY BETSLIP

Alliance is looking terrible lately, and they’ve entered this league with 2 straight losses. Their loss against Liquid was kind of expected, but their loss vs Team Empire was a shocker. And it came on the day 1 of the event. They have 4 straight losses in their match history, and in their last 5 matches they have won only 2 maps. However, NiP is no different. They are on downfall too, and they are struggling a lot, even a little bit longer then Alliance. However, they managed to beat Team Empire with ease, while they lost to FlyToMoon the day after. The same as Alliance, they have 4 losses in their 5 official Dota 2 matches. This match will be the battle of two teams in terrible form. Alliance is a favourite here, but I don’t see any reason why they should be. They are not playing anything better then NiP. I do think this will be a close match and that NiP has a chance here due to their opponent’s low form lately. They can surprise Alliance, and I’m again going against the odds.

Nigma is rising in their form as matches and tournaments go by and they are heavy favourites here. A month ago maybe they wouldn’t be so favoured, as Vikin.gg played amazingly and they were cleaning the floor with some strong EU teams. However, today’s situation is a little bit different. Nigma is struggling to beat top EU teams like Secret and OG, but they can beat any other team in the EU / CIS scene. Vikin.gg included. Nigma has 1 win vs Unique and 1 loss vs OG for now, while Vikin.gg has played only 1 match, and that was their win vs Unique. How will they perform in this match? Well, it’s hard to say because they are not so stable right now. They had some good performances recently but not vs a team like Nigma. Nigma will win this match I feel like, but if Vikin.gg will have a good day they can take a map for sure. Safest bet would be Nigma ML if you can find decent odds (1.30+) but if you want to risk a little bit I would suggest going for the Nigma -1.5 handicap. Odds are amazing and it’s definitely possible, Nigma is a way better team now.

B8 has never beaten Team Unique. However, B8 has a fully new lineup that they acquired recently. Well, almost new, only Dendi is left from the old roster. I was surprised because they showed better results than the old roster, but they are not the squad that will do anything on the international scene. I’m positive that Unique is a much better team right now with much better players and much higher potential for the future. Even though Unique has 4 losses in a row, I do believe they are favourites here and that they will take this series. I think we will see all 3 maps here. Unique is 0-2 currently in this league, as they’ve lost both matches, vs Vikin.gg and Nigma. B8 still has to play their first match. I do think in group A those two teams will fight for the last 2-3 places in the group at the best. Those are the weakest teams in the group, and I hardly believe they can do anything. This will be very interesting match between 2 tier 2 CIS squads. Unique ML bet for me. However, be careful here because the whole CIS Dota scene is so unstable, that a lot of surprises can happen. B8 +1.5 possible too or Unique ML, pick higher odds.

Of those 3 I want to watch Col vs Navi, could be a joke or actual thing they have enough of an upset factor to pull off some alternate bet besides the straight win for navi.    Faze lost to BIG both times they last played it says so that makes me wonder about both those bets.   Cant say Im certain of my judgement yet but always nice to be aware of the possible upset teams, EG was just a lucky guess yesterday on the basis they were too unpopular and wish I had been paying more attention and taken the 10% odds but thats about as extreme as it gets really.

[DOTA 2] Four days of BEYOND EPIC: Europe/CIS are behind us already. The picture is starting to get clear and we are seeing which teams are in top form currently and who will be the throne pretenders. After 4 rounds only Team Liquid has a 100% win ratio and we are still waiting for Team Secret to play their first official tournament matches.

Alliance - flytomoon: flytomoon ML, 1.90 @ MY BETSLIP

B8 - Team Nigma: Team Nigma -1.5, 1.39 @ MY BETSLIP

In their first match, I went against FlyToMoon. I didn’t think they would perform very well after 2 weeks of zero official matches. But they have proved me wrong. They’ve demolished NiP 2-0 in their first round, and they deserved to be equal in today’s match vs Alliance. Alliance started this competition on a very bad note. 0-2 vs Empire, 0-2 vs Liquid, but 2-0 vs NiP. FlyToMoon just looks solid, and I would say they are one level above Team Empire right now. If Empire beat Alliance, FlyToMoon can do it too. There are no clear favourites here, as both teams have similar odds. I just like FlyToMoon more, V-Tune is just an outstanding carry player, and Alliance’s S4 is making too many mistakes. Those mistakes are usually costing them a lot. I feel like Alliance is winning only because of Nikobaby’s amazing performances, who is their best player by far.

What to say about this match? Team Unique is maybe the worst team in this tournament, even if I do think they can do much better. They have 5 straight losses and they are holding last place in group A currently with both matches lost. 0-4 in the map win-loss ratio. Pretty bad as they have to play now vs one of the best EU teams, OG. Even though OG are still not in the top form, and are still “warming up”, I would say everything other than OG’s 2-0 win here would be a big surprise. OG did beat Nigma 2-1 in their first match of the tournament. There is just a big difference in the levels here.

B8’s new lineup is really surprising me. Dendi managed to gather a completely new group of players behind his back, and they started their journey really well. In their first match in this competition they took a 2-0 win over Team Unique, even if they were heavy underdogs in that match. On the other side, Nigma has 2 wins and 1 loss for now. They’ve managed to beat Unique and Vikin.gg, but they’ve lost to OG. However they are playing really well, much better then previous weeks and they are improving slowly. They should take this match easily vs one of the weakest teams in this competition. I always say how -1.5 handicaps are a very risky bet, but I don’t see anything else here that can happen. If Nigma doesn’t make too many mistakes, and if Miracle will be on his usual level, they will do it.
