[DOTA 2] My first picks for today (BTS Pro Series SEA):

TNC Predator - Team Adroit: TNC Predator, 1.61 @ BetOnBit
Geek Fam - BOOM Esports: Over 2.5, 1.97 @ BetOnBit

TNC Predator and Team Adroit are currently similar in terms of the results, especially in the BTS Pro Series SEA region. Both teams are sharing 2nd place in the standings with 4 wins and 2 losses. Interestingly enough, both teams have almost identical results vs their opponents, as both teams lost 1-2 vs Fnatic and 0-2 vs BOOM. Difference is that TNC has 1 map advantage in rankings, as they have lost 1 map less than Team Adroit. This means this match could potentially go into the 3 maps, which will be really interesting to see. From their last 3 clashes in the last 4 months, Adroit won 2 times, and TNC Predator 1 time. This time, I expect us to see a very close series between those two teams. I’m giving a slight advantage to TNC Predator.

BOOM looked very dominant vs Adroit and TNC, winning both matches with 2-0. Impressive enough, since in the other matches vs weaker teams they didn’t show anything special. They are holding 5th place currently in the group with 3 wins and 3 losses. 2 out of 3 wins they’ve got against top 3 teams, which is really impressive. On the other side, Geek Fam does have a really solid lineup on the paper, consisting of some of the ex TNC players. But currently they are struggling to get into the upper half of the standings, and with only 2 wins out of 6 matches that they’ve played they are not looking so good. It is very strange that Geek Fam lost dominantly vs two teams that BOOM won, TNC and Adroit. But on the other side, they’ve managed to take maps off Fnatic and Reality Rift, and that’s something that BOOM didn’t manage to do. Really hard match to bet on, as there are no rules here who can beat who, as we can see. However, I do think Geek Fam can pull out a map off BOOM, and odds are satisfying. Otherwise, BOOM are favourites and should win this. 3 maps possible.

Be careful with DOTA2 today guys, there is a new patch out there today and there is no telling how well/quickly will the teams adapt. That being said I am following your pics for today so hopefully not much surprises.

Thanks for the link, that's a nice clear way to look at a patches contents. Better than a text file release notes.  Smiley

Much more is going on below the surface of the fight in this game.

[CS:GO] We've finally got a big tournament to look forward to, with ESL One: Road to Rio set to kick-off! Some of the world's best teams will duke it out hoping to climb the leaderboards of the newly introduced Regional Major Rankings.

Here are my first picks for Day 1:

Astralis - compLexity: compLexity 1.5, 2.10 @ BetOnBit
Fnatic - ENCE: ENCE 1.5, 1.85 @ BetOnBit
Vitality - Ninjas In Pyjamas: Over 2.5, 1.87 @ BetOnBit
Triumph - Cloud9: Cloud9 -1.5, 1.76 @ BetOnBit
100 Thieves - Gen.G: Over 2.5, 1.93 @ BetOnBit
Evil geniuses - Orgless: Orgless 1.5, 2.27 @ BetOnBit

All matches are BO3. I'm expecting a lot of surprises. I went for the high risky high odds bets. Very risky, don't follow, let's see how day 1 will go.

The major one I notice is about boots ms is now back to fixed again instead of a percentage based, and S&Y (based weapons) from fixed to a percentage based. Other than that, only minor buffs and nerfs here and there. Nothing serious Smiley

I think the biggest nerf is Pugna.

As far as I know, these changes really don't apply to the online tournaments happening today.

So I don't think they don't really need to worry about the changes that happened. More of the changes that happened was like the things they observed in the last online tournament which is the LA major where there are a lot of cheese strats being used by the teams.

I think the biggest nerf is Pugna.

Just look at Alchemist, they nerfed the hero who has a 75% win rate in the LA major. The same as Phoenix which is one of the most picked support of the tournament. They did not nerf Lycan so I think strats would be built for him in the next major especially with the Singapore major.

Just hope that the virus at that time is not a problem anymore.

Once the patch is live, it will be applied immediately.
It will immediately be applied unless on a new hero update like it will not automatically be added in captain mode since captain mode is most of the mode of the hero pickings used in such tournaments.
It will be on the team if they are aware of the new patch, so reading patch notes is extremely important especially if you are a pro player.

I agree. This will be applied immediately since the tournaments are being done online. If these tournaments are doing on LAN, I also think that it will not be applied but since it is being done online, then it is already out there. It is just sad how Phoenix is nerfed the same as Death Prophet which is two of the favorites picks in the last tournament. Either way, we have @rand1919 here to analyze your bets, we don't need to worry.

Any prediction for the upcoming match between Fnatic and Boom at BTS Pro Series: Southeast Asia

I know that Fnatic is truly unstoppable in this tournament and never lose a series. And they also won against Boom in the group stage.
But I see Boom also has a very good performance in this tournament. They even won 2-0 against TNC Predator and Adroit in the group stage.

Is placing a bet on Boom with 1.5 handicap the best choice?

[DOTA 2] My picks and bets for today's matches:

Natus Vincere - HellRaisers: Over 2.5, 1.88 @ BetOnBit
Team Spirit - VP.Prodigy: Over 2.5, 1.97 @ BetOnBit
Ninjas in Pyjamas - OG Seed: Over 2.5, 1.99 @ BetOnBit

All matches are best of 3. My bets on 3 maps are very risky, but high rewarding. I do think all those teams are very even, and we will watch even matches. It's really hard to predict a winners here. Be careful, as the new patch is out!

[CS:GO] Day 2 of ESL One: Road to Rio:

Heretics - Team Dignitas: Team Dignitas, 1.97 @ BetOnBit
FaZe - North: North 1.5, 1.83 @ BetOnBit
G2 - GODSENT: GODSENT 1.5, 1.72 @ BetOnBit
Bad News Bears - Liquid: Liquid -1.5, 1.37 @ BetOnBit

mibr - YeaH!: mibr -1.5, 1.49 @ BetOnBit

All matches are best of 3. Yesterday we saw a lot of upsets and surprises, and i'm expecting to continue that trend today. Very risky bets I would say.

This tournament is so unpredictable, but Fnatic should win this. Currently result is 1-1, so handicap on BOOM worked out.

You can just compare the TNC vs Adroit match 2 days ago, which ended up in the Adroit favour (2-0), but today TNC beat them in the first match of the playoffs with 2-0. So, there are no any specific rules here.

This is actually true, T1 won 2-0 against Boom but lost to other teams who are lost against Boom.

And for the series between Fnatic and Boom, I'm glad it worked out but actually it was like Fnatic just giving the game 1 for free to Boom and then Fnatic really dominated the 2nd and 3rd game.

I thought you're skipping this tournament for no reason haha.

As I saw in your recent results in the spreadsheet, it's kinda you are having hard time on Asian tournaments, especially these teams mentioned above, Adroit, TNC, Fnatic, Boom, etc. Even me in this tournament, it's kinda unpredictable that's why I'd rather skip sometimes some games here.
But still, your predictions and tips are excellent, no matter what, you still have a high winning rate, keep it up.

I've always found Asia region based teams significantly different in their play and much harder to judge when Im sitting outside that area and not upto date on their news, players and meta overall.   I love that its something different from other regions (in my perception) but for betting returns, the wild card that they are to me means watch for fun or just small throw away bets.

Sad to say but SEA region's teams are usually inconsistent unlike other regions like China, Europe, and NA.

NA is also the same but when it comes to China and Europe, they are really players to really look into since their games are just amazing. Most of the tier 1 are there, Team Secret especially OG, they are in the Europe Servers, we laso have CIS since VP won against OG. Most of the best I've in a SEA team is usually because they are the favorites or they are having a good run and the same as you, most of them are not that big bets.

From what I've observed, Esports Organizations (I don't know if this is the correct term) that are Tier 1 from EU, China and CIS regions are quite different from the ones that we have in NA and SEA. They have more money, more organized, have the most advanced facilities and the people around them are much different from the rest of SEA/NA regions. I don't know if this can attribute to the inconsistencies that we get from their performance but I may say that it somehow affects the players and their play style which can be seen in their performance.

I think this depends on the player, to be honest.

It is not the team but it is the player that is adjusting to that team. For example. Team Secret is said to be not really practicing within the booth, they are just actually playing together and would sometimes do some practices but not that much. What I can observe from SEA teams, especially TNC, they are not that really limiting the money being used to their team but the problem is that other teams are ahead when it comes to experience and knowledge. That is the reason why TNC is inviting players with this experience that they can share and improve, develop, and mold the players. To be honest, SEA players are good the problem is that they still don't have that knowledge. If you are following TNC in the past, when they are still a full Filipu]ino team, they have a small hero pool to choose from. That is why they decided to invite a lot of experienced players like Eyyou, 143, Demon, Heen as a coach, and now March and kpii. SEA is not that competent unlike Europe, China, and NA in the past that is why they are still struggling right now as they are facing a lot of experienced and good players with year and years of accumulated experiences in the big stages.
