Yeah i was also very surprised to see that PSG.LGD lost to Team Secret. Before the start of the tournament PSG.LGD was the big favorite for me again, just like in the year before, but they already had a pretty bad start into the group stage to. Back then i still thought that this was just tactics by them because they don't want to give away their strategy yet but today they lost again and that was definitely not intended by LGD. This also means that we could have a match of LGD vs. Team Spirit in the second round of the lower bracket. That is pretty crazy because that was the grand final of last year. So one of those two team will definitely go out very early.

Upset keep filing up as Team Spirit was knocked out by Boom Esports from TI. This first day of Main event is very upsetting, I do not know if I can still take it. My bets are bleeding really hard.

Favorites keep falling. I thought EG and LGD losing 0-2 was upsetting already then, I watched Team Spirit get demolished by Boom on a BO1 elimination game. Boom who I least expect to come out of the group stage because they were at the bottom until the last day of the group stage, sent the defending champion home. Congratulations to Boom, keeping their ticket alive and representing SEA in TI. 1% is still alive.

I thought Team Spirit will set a record to get the Aegis coming from the lowest bracket but no. Instead, they set the record for the earliest exit of the defending champ. What a disappointment.

[DOTA 2, October 21st] Day 1 went pretty weird and unexpected for most of the bettors. Most of the favourites fell.

- Team Spirit, The International 10 champions fell 0-1 to BOOM, a SEA team
- Evil Geniuses, most dominant team in the group stages with 7 wins and only 2 losses, managed to lose vs Peruvian team, underdogs Thunder Awaken by clean 0-2
- PSG.LGD, number 1 favourites to take the championship and one of the strongest teams in the world, lost to shaken Team Secret from Europe, against all the odds

Those were the highlights of the 1st day. Seems like its very hard to bet on this TI, very unpredictable and hard, as we are seeing a lot of surprises and unexpected wins that not a lot of people would predict. Seems like playoffs are completely different "league" compared to the group stage, so we need to change the mindset.

Liquid falling to Aster, and PSG.LGD dominating vs BOOM, 2-0, which was the only favourite that won yesterday. Unexpected results continued at this years TI. My TI bets were terrible so far, hopefully until the end, I can recover slightly. My day 4 picks:

In the playoffs, they failed to cope with Aster 0:2 in their first match and also went to the lower bracket. Further, in a beautiful confrontation, they dealt with Entity 2:1. In the final of the lower bracket, we will have a dramatic match, which in any case will bring a wide range of emotions. Two great players, two world champions of the past years will play for the right to lift the Aegis once more over their heads. We are trying to figure out which of the teams will succeed, and who will say goodbye to thoughts about the championship this year. Let's start with the team that made it to the small finals of The International 2022 from the upper bracket of the playoffs. This is Team Secret.In this fight, Puppey and company will play as the favorite. All because of the upper grid, I dare to assume. In fact, abstracting from this series, we can safely call these teams worthy of each other and identical, to some extent.
