I was one of the early miners Idena saved me in one of the difficult times, it used to be one of the most talked about coins when it comes to mining because everyone is on equal terms, the 2020 Idena mining or earlier is probably the best mining time, I hope they launch another marketing campaign to hype the project, right now I prefer to buy IDENA than mine it, I hope the community can rebuild again, it's a concept that IDENA only has, supporters should not let it die, go mine or buy.

Yep. Network is clearing from farmers. Clearing from cancer that was sucking money not giving anything back in return. Not increasing decentralization. Cancer that was creating shitty, easy for AI flips. Cancer that was lowering rewards for solo miners. I hope all of them will leave and network will start new life with 5-6k nodes.

And here we are sub 6k nodes. But i think there is much more to go to clear network from all abusers. yes i think there is no selling pressure after validation its not like usual farmers will throw it away i will see this $0.1 maybe in the near future, IIP-5 stop abuse in IDENA and people will add their funds to stakes no more selling it cheap, IDENA is still waiting for new investors to join to buy it and put it on stake then start mining

- Truncating blockchain history (the last hard fork update genesis block is used for sync)

validated identities are down 17% and it's as predicted yesterday that the pool will split into smaller pools or do solo mining, validation distance is now only 20 days

It should continue to go down with next validations because farm profitability will be inversely correlated to total staked IDNA. Even if now few farms are still profitable (mostly old farms with old nodes with ~500 earned IDNA in stake) they may not be if TVL will double. So far TVL is booming:

a lot of people kill their accounts and restart from scratch to create a smaller pool and profit from it using stakes instead of forming a large pool which is not profitable now to pay people I also see a lot of new end users this is asking for invite code , my hope now is to get more IDENA to hold taking advantage of decreasing validated users

Idena did not reduce the community. It reduced amount of paid abusers that were never part of community. Some of them did not even know that they were solving flips for IDENA. That's why with one of updates flips were market with watermark - did not worked well though.

How could alienating people to the point of leaving the project work well for project? Its crazy idea. Idena did not done that. They changed tokenomics to incentivize solo mining at a cost of farming via paid abusers. Thats why number of nodes dropped. They attack farmers to leave more space for real community members and solo miners.

Hopefully there's nothing wrong with Idena today, where almost all of them experience server errors, although this isn't the first time, hopefully Validation isn't delayed too long..
