I like to go back to mining Idena after a long vacation I downloaded the software and tried to install but it's been hours and nothing is happening, it's not moving at all I have a good internet speed 22 MBPS can anyone here explain what's happening.
Are you trying to run the wallet and node locally or on a VPS? Good to hear people come back and support the network. |

No I'm trying to install it first and yes I'm looking to use VPS it won't install to my computer, is there something I need to do it's been hours and I'm on my second part of installing it after restarting my computer. am I the only one experiencing this? |

Actually there are 4722 valid identities.
As for the "crazy growth" of the network, I doubt it, since the reward is getting smaller and smaller with the network growth, so many will leave. Maybe this will change in the future since we are on a semi-mainnet (semi-testnet) phase.
^ Is that so? I think the more people who join the network, the more rewards the user can get. It seems that I was wrong. I have downloaded Idena, but until now I haven't received the code  |

I'm using Windows 7 and this is the same operating system that I've used when I first installed IDENA but now I cannot install it, until now no one has answered my issues I hope any of the developer or partners can I assist me here this is the validation day I hope I can sync it at the right time. Your operating system hasn't changed, but Idena Desktop is updated regularly, and perhaps with the last update something broke down for Windows 7. Try (for a test) to install an older version of IdenaApp to make sure it works on your current system. |

Not that this is a bad thing tho. BTW, if you still need an invite I have one for you, just PM me.

Every node can spoil your invitation. In 99% cases invitation thrown like that will be vanished short time after. Bad start on going back here I cannot even install the IDENA software to my computer, I don't know the issue I guess I have to forget this project for now, since I cannot install it now and comeback maybe next month, good luck to those who validate today.
This is not the best place to search for technical answer. Did you try telegram/discord? Network grow is slowing down (price dump fault).  |

Indeed, very little growth this last validation. Only 29 more nodes, but its still a positive number. Btw, idena.today's metrics are wrong, the number of total validated nodes is 4751 not 4755. Saying it for the graph, not that it matters too much... |

If you need validation as soon as possible, my advice is to try to join in Telegram because there will be lots of people to help as soon as possible.I think it will take a long time because people are now more active on telegram. |

It is legal. You can even run 2 nodes on 1 PC. I can't find it but @realRioda made a tutorial how to do it. If you need invitations for this 2 nodes I can provide them for you. Just PM me. |

I was talking about mining. I'm not sure about validation. Sounds tricky, especially during your few first validations, but possible (you are solving your flips and other person is telling you answers for second node). But as I said. The best way is to run it on VPS (you can have 2 months free on digital ocean and 1 month free on vult). I was mining on 2 PCs for about 9 months when i switch to VPS - its way better and cheap. I got one invitation yesterday on Telegram group, I plan to wait until 15. November to level up I don't want something to mess up. Still, I am not sure how much time I need for validation.

This is not anything new in the crypto world, as they are many other CPU miners outhere that can many more renowned coins, but my question is how much can a average Laptop/PC generate and what is one to do with the coin, is there a market for it etc. Not enough details.
Is CPU-mining still alive? I think that earning something more or less serious is unlikely to work out in today's competition with industrial mining. |
