Idena team today released new proposal plan for open-sourced marketing activities to make the Idena marketing more decentralized, and this will be interesting to see how it works out in reality.

I like this new approach, this will engage the community in different tasks such as creating new small communities worldwide. The rewards are pretty good imo, and I bet this it will be a success. Good job Idena!

1. Introducing increased flip rewards

Motivation: Encouraging people to create AI-hard flips.

This change requires detection of AI-hard flips during the validation session. In order to qualify a flip as AI-hard, 1/3 of the committee votes are required. Once the flip is detected as AI-hard it will be granted x2, x4 or x8 times higher reward depending on the flip security score.

We plan to release the Idena app version that will automatically identify secure flips and calculate the security score. We’ll gradually extend the list of criteria for AI-hard flips with further Idena app updates.

In this validation, we didn't receive additional rewards for good flips, although there were 13 days from the announcement, to the validation, September 28, to implement this update. Why didn't this happen? Why wasn't this implemented on the September 23rd hard fork?

Maybe some users got increased rewards. Anyone who got increased rewards can confirm in here, if any. Or maybe this feature is still WIP

That is still in development, the fork got us node and protocol that supports this. Now I think we need to wait for new version of Idena client that supports it.

I do like that the community are involved into the project, and I also appreciate the effort the developer made to create the forum. But. I don't think is a good idea to allow only validated members for the forum growth, I mean. Or is a "private club" wanna be?

No it is not a private club, but it is forum only related to Idena talk with less spam, less trolls and less fake account like we have here.
In bitcointalk forum you can have unlimited accounts, not like in Idena forum.
I am sure you know a lot about cheating, plagiarism and multiple account Laskoo

As Idena network users increase, the reward for each member will decrease, since the total number of coins mined per day does not change and is 51840 IDNA. And half of these coins is mined by miners, and the remaining half is generated during the validation.

Bugger. Idena recruits and co-opts slaves. While not giving any incentive to its holder to keep being part of the ecosystem. Give us money. Send each member that comes to onboard your platform at least a moderate 40 btc fee, to start with. Its just chit-chat and some ass banter unless you covenant some big fat bitcoin to the community as a compensation for the interest lent to your platform.

True, the amount of money you get for mining Idena is not much, but you have to take into consideration that is not much you invest either (no mining equipment, no electricity bills). Only a VPS, which you can get for a little under 3 EUR. In the future who knows, the price can make us happy.

Idena is using a kind of PoS mining system, the only difference is you need to validate yourself as a human to mine instead of having an "stake" to prevent attacks. It is a well known system to mine, and it uses much less resources than PoW.

Yeah you are correct, that's why MN or Proof of Stake is good to run on our pc, we called it mining in layman's term but it is not actually doing a mining thing and one thing the Idena is unique because of the human validation required to get a full reward every validation time.
