However, I don't understand why review sites don't simply contact the producers and ask "when did you start? Much of the information needed for a "meaningful" evaluation of a site can unfortunately not be found on the internet and is publicly available.

Because most of them are lazy slackers who don't care about the accuracy of the information they publish, but only about getting hits to their blogs and making money from affiliate links. They write so-called "reviews", which is all a load of crap, to get more referrals, but not the proper type of reviews that have real value. That is the thing that I wanted to say. Just because you have a license doesn't mean that you would be trustworthy, I know a few places that doesn't have the license and they are doing fine so far because they never scammed anyone, and I know a few places that had it and scammed anyway. So that means, you could have the license or not have it and you could still be a good place or a bad place, license doesn't change anything at all. The KYC issues has been discussed here many times but there’s no representative from Roobet to explain the sudden changes and that’s why many are mad before. They made a good reputation before that sudden change and still one of the best site despite of this update, now if you think Roobet violated your rights better to look for other option but for me, level 1 KYC is fine now, I have no choice.

As for the Curacao license, as far as I know you don't have to comply with any regulations. I believe that getting a curacao license is just throwing money out the door and nothing more. As I have said before, it is a useless one since there are places with no license at all and still managed to become huge, so why would anyone imagine that would change?
