I'd like to get an SP31 but refunded my GB SP30 due to the fact of the elec costs going up....having to commit to a 6 month hosting to get those
costs down (and likely having to go to a 200 amp panel? not sure)...and just the plain ass noise...so I punted...

if they made a miner that was not noisy/needed a data center etc I'd jump in right away ..but I probably just have to face the fact
that mining for the home guy is gone...and move on

but man I like them nice whirly noises and pretty LCDs and watching the pool stats day by day ..very tranquil

but paying someone to host the unit ...as good as some of the prices are...it still comes down to you are better off buying BTC direct and holding

well I can hope ..but think it has moved on from 'toy train' mining to 'real train' mining so to speak

We got the preliminary ASICs results for October batch. We'll meet 5.5 TH/s +- 5% with 3KW at the wall.
This is guaranteed. You'll get a refund in case we won't. You'll enjoy additional hash-rate if it will be better.
We're further tuning the process to get better results for November.

I'd be much happier with a 2 TH/s 2U unit where you didn't have to run the PSUs at 110% and have to run them on 220V to get their full performance. 2 TH/s in 2U is plenty dense for any hosting facility.

yeah not happy about it...Guy and Spondoolies treated me very well...very impressed...but just did not make
sense...mainly it was the NOISE and then add the elec etc ..well punted....out of my home miner range and
comfort zone....

I do OWE them a product.....imho....just not that fired up to host a unit...well I'll try to keep an open mind
in the future...this 500 usd per BTC and difficulty race ...is making it very difficult to make my usual ASIC slut

Do you know why was bitcoin traded at $1200? Or, better, do you have your own reason of why it went that high?
Easy to say it will hit 100 again, .. but at this point it has the same weight to say it will hit 1200 sometime in the future.

Holding BTC does not make any sense, imho. Doing something with it does.

cleaned out all my DHCP resevations and limited the amount to 20 so I could see when a new one got request and still nothing.

It seems that the SP30 is not requesting a new IP , how do I reset the box ?

Now there is another problem. I plugged in the second miner to but myminer.io doesn't seem to be loading so I can't update the firmware because I don't seem to have an access to cgminer. I go directly via 192.168.0.5 and insert the default password (That's the address my router shows to be allocated for this miner) but the status page doesn't load. The miner seems to be fine. All lights are lit fine etc

For a moment the cgminer status page loaded so I tried updating firmware and I got the message:

"Downloading url:http://firmware.spondoolies-tech.com/release/spon.tar
download fail, rc = 52"


Actually I don't have an access to any miner now. myminer.io doesn't seem to load, neither can I get access to cgminer status via 192.168.0.4 (Miner 1) nor 192.168.0.5 (Miner 2).
When I try to load 192.168.0.5 the fans start working like crazy, probably at 100% and don't stop so I have to switch the miners off.

Well, myminer.io is not important if you know your miners IP, so that I guess is not a problem.
Regarding the WebUI not working, please test if you can ping and ssh (root/root) the miner. If you can ssh the miner, you can change edit your wallet "vi /etc/cgminer.conf <enter>" and then type "spond-manager start <enter>". The miner should start mining. Then you can type "cat /tmp/asics" to see how it does. This is not a solution to your problem, but this should get your miner running. Please open port forwarding to your miners http and ssh and send me the passwords so I can investigate.

Yes, but not now - it's 4AM weekend. For now please try SD recovery or manual configuration via ssh.

I can ping it with no problem. When I try to access it through putty the password doesn't seem to be right although default login and password for 192.168.0.5 are admin/admin.

I have not got SD Card for recovery. I would need to buy a card, a reader. What time are you back tomorrow, please?
