Never tried a rental service, but just ordered a 53TH for 24 hours on Ebay to test it out.

I am not sure if those hashpower sellers are legit or not, I doubt their integrity, I hate to say this but probably Nicehash is the place to go for hash rental, but you should still wait for other suggestions as I am not really into renting hashrate since I use my own gears.

I second MRR they are really good I prefer them to nicehash to be honest and if you pay in litecoin you can sometimes get some decent miners for nice price's there.

NH and MRR are both good.
MRR is a tad more consistent; however NH is a bit more user friendly.

Appreciate the feedback guys.  I am sure I overpaid.  But wanted to get some experience in renting first - was going for ease of use.  Happy to report everything appears to be fine so far.

I will certainly look into MiningRigRentals or NiceHash next time.  Thanks for the guidance.

Marking this thread to follow.

This is by far THE best solo pool to go with;  for anyone whom reads this.

FWIW:
The second I get my hands on an R606; it will be pointed here for life.   It will be my solar powered low wattage contribution to the network.

Keep up the good work CK.... sucks seeing how kano went off the deep end....   lots of people doing that these days;  including my landlord whom I found out is on meth and heroin.  (sent in for a hair follicle test)

*edit* for those of you whom think a difficulty setting is necessary;  you could theoretically set it for half of network diff amount; and let it go.    "shares" mean nothing on this pool.... they are for tracking stats (which you should be able to do with your miner anyway)....

Your machine literally only needs to fetch workunits, or return a positive result that means something (a winning lottery ticket).   anything else;  is just for recording statistics.
Now if you do it this way, CK's pool won't see anything other than it handing out workunits;  and it should be able to work out your hashrate if your machine can finish at least one workunit.

I personally set my diff higher before;  just to lighten the load on my internet connection since it is wireless/cellular.

in short:  your miners and pc's with miners have a means of logging and storing statistics.  Learn to mine;  don't push things off onto others unnecessarily!

Link to my batch and script resources here.

Sad to have to move topic as there is much good history in the last topic but fully support your decision ck I can't recall any point in time where if there has been a issue you have not been accommodating to us and for that I will only ever mine on your pools.

Now lets get a block or two guys!

Don't forget we still have the "High Rollers" group.

If your no longer wanting to be on the waiting list let me know.

Code:
CK Pool - High Rollers - 0.125 BTC Buy in.
1 ) hiaxis 0.125 BTC - Payment Pending
2 ) VRobb  0.125 BTC - Payment Pending
3 ) jimjam123 0.125 BTC - Payment Pending
4 ) MagicByt3 0.125 BTC - Payment Pending
5 ) Katun 0.125  BTC - Payment Pending
6 )
7 )
8 )
9 )
10 )

Mine on!

I am still in, so long as we can fill up by the end of the month.
If we cannot before the halving, i would be out.

If we are able to get filled up, we would be looking @ ~50 Ph for ~26 hours.

So I tried my first NiceHash rental last night and it was queued up.  I checked it this morning, and it seems like although not complete, it spiked then zeroed out.  Is this normal, and are my settings correct?  I did test the pool first and had to move the port to 4334.

Here is an image of my portal:  https://s1065.photobucket.com/user/vickersja/media/NHRental.png.html

I know it worked since it does have stats on the CKSolo reporting page, but it seems to have stopped.  Is it because other orders came in after me with a greater price, pushing me down?

I think i said earlier that NH is a bit less stable. Their Hashrate does fluctuate more than MRR.
The best thing to do is buy the "fixed option".
Good luck!

So this is normal though, correct?  I didn't mess anything up?

Your settings seem fine judging by the fact that your daily hashrate shows, I assume you used a standard order

It says the following:

Quote
Your order is lower paying than the currently active orders
If your order is lower paying than the currently active orders and there is no more hash power left, then your order is placed in the queue and will be served in a first-come-first-served fashion when there is no higher paying order.

So seems like you have been outbid, and your orders got in the queue but prices never really went to or below your pay rate, I assume the guys who buy standard orders run some sort of bots to actually utilize the bidding environment if you want to outbid everyone else and make sure your order is valid throughout the period you need it to be, try placing a fixed order instead (comes at an extra cost obviously), or give MiningRigRentals a try since it seems to be everyone's favorite
