Ridiculous prices being paid on NH right now, even up to 0.1949 btc/PH/Day on a fixed order just now. What idiots are paying that much (12 times normal)? Or is it bots gone wrong?

Extreme investments bring extremely high profits but also with high risk But I would think we should not judge him Whatever floats his boat!

Paying 10 times more than the rest is not smart, paying more than what you actually need to pay is plain stupid, the guy was placing orders outbidding NOBODY but himself, he could literally obtain all the hash power he needed paying only 50% or less of what he actually paid and nobody would have outbid him, that dude was paying 8.154 BTC for 90PH just to get a 1 in 9 chances for the whole day, in other words, he paid 68% of the potential reward which has 11.11% chance of getting him the remaining 32% which equal 4.3 BTC and thus risking 2 to gain 1 .in simple English, stupid as hell as far as the numbers are concerned. With that being said, I don't think the person is that stupid, I don't even think they were looking for profit, it's either a money laundry attempt or a software bug.

I have something to add here. This is by far THE best solo pool to go with; for anyone whom reads this.
I just checked BTC.com stats and it reads that this pool only found one block last month, and one other block in February. That's all the blocks that have been found this year. To be fair that was when the difficulty was at its highest so I'm impressed that you guys managed to find some blocks during that time. Given that the halving will happen next month, if that drives up the difficulty (perhaps mining hardware will become cheaper?) it's really going to hurt solo pools' chances of finding a block. But anyway hope you find another block before the halving.

You are confusing how a solo pool operates with how 'normal' pools work. With a solo pool the total hash rate pointed at it and how many blocks are being found is pretty much meaningless because only the miner that finds a block is paid (+ the pool operator through their fee). All a solo pool does is provide an easy way to mine on your own exclusively for your benefit. The chances of you finding a block all depends on what your individual hash rate is. A 'normal' pool is different in that the total hash rate very much matters because all it takes is one miner finding a block for everyone to get paid though of course the reward will be split among everyone in the pool. The bigger the pool (more hash) the better the odds are that *someone* in it will find a block.

Even 400T is very lucky right now there's been a large amount of hash trying to solve some blocks before the halving some really big rentals going on in the markets going by some accounts so really lucky with even 400T let alone the 400GH/S miner.
Luck of the draw as they say!

Given the current difficulty and in the grand scheme of things, with 4T, 40T, 400T or even 4000T you still need to be lucky as hell to hit a block, I think about it like jumping off the 50th floor vs 100th floor, while the distance is double on the latter, how likely are you to survive after jumping off any of those levels? pretty much the same if you ask me.

Yes indeed. ckpools were the first pools to support bech32 mining.
