Can somebody try this APK on their fast Android devices and let me know the speed and device name? Note: if you don't know what an .APK is, don't try it. This is ARM compile of SPH library performing GroestlCoin hashing. I'm also working on NEON (ARVv7E) version, but getting weird GCC errors, I'll keep you posted. The source code is here: https://github.com/srcxxx/grhashAndroid!!!Note: this is NOT a miner!!! It's just a speed test. PS: This is what I'm getting in ARM emulator :-)

hello i found yam miner great but not working my i3-2120 sandy-bridge win 7 x64 home premium with sp1 i start the miner and crash windows says yam.exe shuting down i use yam-yvg1900-M7q-win64-sandy-bridge but i try generic version and working but i think slow my cfg : threads = 4 mining-params = grs:av=0&donation-interval=50 mine = stratum+tcp://echo00114.2:xx@grs.cpu-pool.net:3650/grs #proxy = socks4a://127.0.0.1:9150 #proxy = socks5://127.0.0.1:1080 compact-stats = 1 print-timestamps = 0 any ideas why not working sandy bridge wersion i try 3 machine same config also not working. i also trying same machine on debian weezy also not working precompiled sandy-bridge only generic working i try my old duala core e5700 machine the dual core version also win7 x64 sp1 work fine thanx you have post your kh/s? thanks hello i3-2120 core2 version 545 khs approx the generic version 380 khs i write the author and answer me Note that GRS mining for AVX and AVX2 instruction sets require AES-NI support. AES-NI support required by GRS algorithm implementations in following builds: sandy-bridge ivy-bridge haswell bdver1 bdver2 btver2 so i only use core 2 build bye

Thank you for your tests. Looks like we need NEON optimizations to get a good hashrate. Also I'm not sure if I compiled Release or Debug. I think I added NEON, but now it just crashes emulator. I'll continue research. If you can help, the code is still in https://github.com/srcxxx/grhashAndroid (for those devs, who want to contribute) Thanks!

OK, now NEON should work. Please try this. On emulator I'm getting this: !!!Note: this is NOT a miner!!! It's just a speed test. Also, it is single-threaded.

We need multi-core / thread support and AES-NI support Check this out https://online.tugraz.at/tug_online/voe_main2.getvolltext?pCurrPk=67985Technical University Graz (tugraz) helped develop Grøstl together Denmark Technical University. PLlase consult the existing ARM NEON Grøstl implementations with AVX2 and AES-NI support http://www.groestl.info/implementations.html. Everything is there already! NEW! The first Grøstl-256 implementation using AVX2 VPGATHERQQ instructions using only 169 instructions per round can be downloaded here. NEW! A new Grøstl-256 NEON implementation using bitslicing (48.6 cycles/byte on Cortex-A8, Hercules eCAFE) is available in eBASH. NEW! A vperm implementation of Grøstl-256 using NEON can be downloaded from eBASH. This implementation can serve as a basis for future NEON implementations using ARMv8 AES instructions. NEW! The first Grøstl-256 NEON implementation running at 45.8 cycles/byte (Cortex-A8, Hercules eCAFE) can be downloaded from eBASH. NEW! Improved Lightweigth Grøstl implementations have been submitted to eBASH, resulting in an overall 3rd place in XBX. NEW! The Grøstl-512 AVX2 implementation presented at the 3rd SHA-3 Candidate Conference with 40% less instructions (compared to AVX) can be found here. NEW! First Grøstl-256 implementation below 10 cycles/byte on Intel Core i7-2600K with AES-NI (see below). The numbers people are seeing now are nothing compared to what we will with an optimized miner I believe all the "hard" work has been done 50,000 GRS BOUNTYIm getting really excited about this now!!! A good implementation should handle this Also this is about the ARM servers and PC's of the future
