Thank you for this! yamminer does work, but looks like you need to try all builds to find the one that works best. There are like 8 builds of it. Also, on older PCs the original CPU minerd works faster.

Hm I took the one for my CPU - 64bit win Haswell. Starts and crashes in a millisecond. Okay, give the other builds a try. It's an Intel i7 3,4 Ghz, so i think that's not really an old one

Thanks, added some AMDs and CPUs, I don't have any Nvidia cards, but I will add more CPUs next week.

That's exactly the ccminer I am using. Same settings. Only 7.2MH/s

I don't have any experiences with overclocking and I have no idea about it. So I don't use it. I am afraid I could do something wrong.

Thank you for this. I inserted your results into the spreadsheet. Your device is quad core, so in theory you could be getting about 140KHs (that't about 10 GRS per day). There is also the possibility of doing hashing in RenderScript, which will involve GPU on the device. Your GPU is 12-core, so should be a nice speed boost. I might look into RenderScript later.

That is a great news, best promo for coin I really like where Groestlcoin is at, and I think that the primary focus should continue to be on efficiency and access for almost all devices to mine the coin. Marketing and promotion should never be discounted, but I would far rather have a solid long term outlook and a reason to exist for the coin than basically what amounts to being part of the pump-n-dump crap coin market that seems to just recycle every few days. Right now Groestlcoin is the 4th most efficient coin for me on CoinWarz ratings, and it would easily jump to #1 if CnC's newest changes gain even 30%, let alone nearly 300%. (6x 750ti, 19.4 Mhash/s, $2.12/day after power costs) Pump and dump copycoins in the scrypt arena are going to be left holding the bag here shortly as the ASIC miners show up en masse. They will see the efficiency and mass availability of the ability to mine with any device, and that will in my opinion lead to good things. The coin is very well positioned for the future of the market, and the longer we can keep things on the right track the better off everyone will be in the long run. I can't imagine the pressure that is going to build on the Christians to optimize for ATI chips if he can manage to keep it out of the GPL. THere is going to be a TON of hardware on the unprofitable side in the future, and if they know there is just some code changes that could change that, they will be going crazy. So keep up the good work all.

I guess I should have qualified my comments... those who have a bunch of 7970 cards that they paid $700+ for will consider them unprofitable... that can still mine, but will have much less hope of making back the investment in all likely hood. The newer cards, even the ATI cards can still work... I probably painted with too wide of a brush with the first comment and no explanation.

I have been connected to "Pool 0", but I have never seen my hash rate show up on either site I use. Is this normal for the coin, or am I not set up correctly yet?
I have the correct hashrate I should have, and am seeing new blocks, though I am not sure if this is a solo mine or what.

Hi! Please provide a screenshot. Also, to all people using ccMiner... If ccMiner shows you huge hashrate, it probably means that shader did not compile and you are not mining anything. Thanks srcxxx
