1.If u are experiencing difficulty running suggested/latest miner pls try this tip from the official FAQ:
http://www.groestlcoin.org/faq/

Quote
My AMD GPU is hashing, but no shares are accepted and I don't see my hashrate on the pool. What's wrong?
Try adding

--difficulty-multiplier 0.0039062500

parameter to your sgminer command line. If your sgminer reports unrecognized option – please update to the recent version from here If this doesn’t help – report the problem in bitcointalk thread

Apologies for not including this tip in the tutorial. Will update pdf soon.

2. What core-clock speed r  u running? Have you used TrixX or AFterburner to overclock core and underclock mem as described in the pdf?

thanks
CH

Hi there!

For some reason, I am not able to push R9 280x pass 6.4 MHash/s mark. I am using the following miner:

https://github.com/badman74/sph-sgminer

I am not able to use your suggested miner as it does not submit any shares at dwarfpool.com. The machine hashes and hashes - AND EVEN IF I MINE with your miner and your suggested settings, I cannot push it over 6.3 MHash/s mark.

The card is in good shape, I have always able to push it when mining Scrypt. GPU clock is set to 1100, mem clock is set to 1500.

Settings I use, are:
    "auto-fan" : true,
    "gpu-fan": "30-99",
    "temp-cutoff" : "95",
    "temp-overheat" : "85",
    "temp-target" : "79",
    "worksize": "256",
    "intensity" : "20",
    "gpu-threads" : "1",
    "thread-concurrency" : "8192",
    "lookup-gap" : "0",
    "vectors" : "1",
    "shaders" : "2048",
    "api-port": "4028",
    "api-listen": true,
    "api-allow": "W:127.0.0.1",
    "failover-only" : true,
    "no-pool-disable": true,
    "no-submit-stale" : true,
    "queue": "0",
    "log" : "5",
    "gpu-powertune" : "20",
    "algorithm" : "groestlcoin",

Iam using BAMT 1.6.0 and I have compiled miners from scratch without any problems. The card is not overheating and I have a good PSU.

GPU clock is 1100, mem clock is 1500, undervolted to 1.131v. I have no trixx - as I use bamt (linux).

Ok, multiplier is ok, but nevertheless the hash rte is not high enough.

According to spreadsheet a 280x can range from ~6 - ~7 MH/s
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hTOUdJZrKqrNDXTIbXgNvJtj_fnpECREcs-eHxaGrZc/edit#gid=0

Therefore 6.4MH/s falls within range. I will edit pdf to state a 280x gets ~6.5MH/s , not ~7MH/s, since it is only a couple models of 280x that break 7MH/s

thanks

p.s. underclock mem to 1000 and push core core to 1150 if possible. Try a different TC for experimentation , see spreadsheet.

thread concurrency shouldn't make any difference on grs, it's only for scrypt (and possibly other memory intensive algos).

MESSASGE JUST POSTED IN MYRIADCOIN THREAD BY ME:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483515.msg6720778#msg6720778

THEIR PR NEEDS CORRECTION!

Umm… hi guys.

I'm over here from Groestlcoin…
Ive been noticing that u r communicating misleading info regarding your coin.

To be precise Myriadcoin DOES NOT USE GROESTL, IT USES MYRIAD-GROESTL. THEY R DIFFERENT.

Since it is my firm belief Groestl is the ultimate PoW algo u can understand why your PR vexes me.

PLS change you rmessaging to be more accurate (truthful!) ASAP

I will continue to pester u on this,

with respect,
CH

The GRS block reward just changed from 312 to 293. According to http://coinia.net/groestlcoin/reward.html this should be 10 days from now.

I assume this is due to the timewarp thing, and I don't think it's a big deal, but maybe the graph and/or info on the website should be corrected. Or is the fork going to reset the rewards to the expected level?

Lol. because you think Myriad-Groestl is the ultimate POW you also have four other algos? But seriously, I think confusing people can hurt both coins, for example if people try to mine myriad with a GRS miner...

That isnt our issue. When people come posting it inside our thread. Expect the same back. We emphasise the use of Myriad Groestl miners. we have our own miner's which will auto download the correct miners and so 99% of people will not use the wrong miner. So people like the poster who posted that same message in our thread should keep quiet. We @ Myriadcoin have been kind enough not to troll GroestlCoin or throw baseless accusations at it. So i believe we deserve the same

the myriad and groestlcoin discussion is pointless.
they both use the groestl algorythm, just in a different way.
if the info is given to the miners in the correct way, there is no confusion.

Members of the Myriadcoin Team have already agreed (on Twitter) to change messaging from Groestl to Myriad-Groestl.

The algos are different and I believe Pure Groestl (as used in Groestlcoin) to be superior.

Many Thanks Ahmed

I dont care what anyone has agreed. we dont use the term groestlcoin we use the term MYRIAD-GROESTL since the beginning and even now. dont forget we were the firt groestl coin. so YOU should have obligation of stating groestlcoin groestl but we arent making you do it. So please shut up unless you have some actual facts to prove that we are lying.  Also i dont really care what you think is superior. We dont come in here normally and tell you, you are liars so i would certainly appreciate it if you didnt either

I think that the first use of Groestl algorithm is QuarkCoin circa July 2013. Perhaps there are other coins that use it before QRK, I don't know.

As for naming, I agree that there is confusion. And not just with Myriad Groestl.
For example, new DiamondCoin is now using Groestlcoin algo, but there is a tiny change in block hashing that exists in the wallet (single sha256 instead of double sha256), which makes all existing Groestlcoin miners incompatible with Diamondcoin.

Get real. Groestlcoin is as dead as maxcoin. dwarfpool owns the network and can throw it around like a little child with toys.

Ahmed

This is the poster that started this… No mention of Myriad-Groestl

DON'T GET ME STARTED…  Angry

Really? Dont get me started. Its 1 generic poster and suddenly we're the bad guys. What are you guys doing to differentiate from myriadcoin? EXACTLY NOTHING.

We have spent a great deal of time and effort to spread the word about the Groestl Algo. Id go into detail but I can tell ur prob not interested.

Get real. Groestlcoin is as dead as maxcoin. dwarfpool owns the network and can throw it around like a little child with toys.

There is nothing Bad about dwarf Pool..
