It was a nice game for Marseille because they were able to get a good win in this match, seeing how they competed I was quite sorry for Montpellier because they didn't get a goal back, even though they had several chances but couldn't score them into goals.

There are too many weaknesses in Montpellier that must be improved, especially their defense, of the many matches played, their defense is the worst, they are fresh food for other teams to get goals and even if they want better defenders, I doubt that they have a lot of funds to buy, they can only improve their defense with their players and get serious training.

Marseille managed to take advantage of an easy match to secure full points, a 5-0 win over Montpellier certainly looks very promising. Basically, Montpellier is a team at the bottom of the standings, they have not been able to do much to get out of the relegation zone. The additional 3 points make Marseille stick closely to PSG and AS Monaco in the Champions League zone, they are only 3 points behind.
If Marseille is able to maintain its impressive performance, it is possible that De Zerbi squad will be directly involved in the fight for the Ligue 1 trophy this season, and that is indeed what many parties hope for. Mason Greenwood seems to be reborn, he is quickly able to adapt and give his influence in the team, I think Manchester United should consider recruiting him back.

Olympique Marseille played that match with so much anger not minding that they even played at away. I initially though that Montpellier, who have scored in all their home matches this season, will be able to score at least one goal. but unfortunately, they failed to cancel Marseille 5 goals clean sheet.

Luis Enrique is a great coach and he managed to maintain his victory in the domestic league continuously, it's just that for the UCL league they don't get it, and only in that match they are difficult to achieve with Luis Enrique so far, even when having many star players in the squad cannot bring PSG to be the winner of the UCL league, extending his contract is good for maintaining victory in the domestic league, but if PSG wants to be able to move more in the Champions league maybe Enrique needs to have more potential players and some appropriate strategies in defeating his competitors in the champions league.

I think you just stated the biggest problem of PSG that have made them not perform so greatly at the champions league even though they dominated the French Lig 1. Assuming the league is so competitive like the Spanish La Liga, they would have been accustomed to playing strong opponents and this would have helped them greatly at the champions league. This year I'm seeing some changes in Lyon and Monaco and if they are able to remain consistent in the way they are going, they might become the two strong team that will give PSG hard time whenever they meet.

It's a very embarrassing result for Montpellier. They only played defense the whole game. They attacked Marseille, but it didn't help much. They're staying in the relegation zone right now.

Montpellier's president sacked their coach right after they lost 5 goals to Marseille. It's a very good decision considering their gap to the safe zone is just getting bigger. They should take a risky decision by signing a new coach. I'm feeling curious about who's gonna be a new coach.

This year I watched Montpellier against Marseille for the first time. The team that was once a champion is now struggling with a bad squad. (They were relegated to the lower league after the championship, but I don't understand why they went so far back)

5 goals were scored in the match. The decision was made 11 to 4. Dzodic, who entered the game in the 55th minute in Montpellier, received a red card. I really don't understand why the referee gave a red card. He is not the last man, there is no hard intervention, but he gave a red card.

After this card, Marseille scored another goal. Marseille could have scored 7-8 goals if they wanted, but they preferred to turn the ball over instead of attacking effectively. He scored the 6th goal, but the goal was not considered valid because the position was offside.

I think it's very okay to say that Marseille's performance against Montpellier yesterday was incredible but I find it as an exaggeration when you say they'll be champions of the French Ligue 1 is they continue to deliver such performance. Montpellier is the lowest ranked team in the French league this season as they've been able to pick just one win in all competitions since the start of the season so a convincing win against them I don't think is a big deal especially when they faced a Marseille side that's been impressive this season. Paris Saint Germaine still stands as the favorites to win the league title title this season but if Marseille must end their dominance, they must significantly improve beyond beating a bottom club.

Now PSG managed to save 3 full points and get total of 20 points to be able to match Monaco, but PSG excels with more goal scored because several times they were able to win with fairly convincing score.

Marseille team is in very good form this season. If this consistency can be maintained then I believe this team will be able to compete for the title. The performance of the forward players of this team is very good. However, the performance of the defenders is somewhat erratic. In 8 matches, Marseille players managed to score 21 goals and conceded 8 goals. I wouldn't call Marseille's defense weak, but Marseille's defenders need some stability in performance.

In the last match against Montpellier we saw the great dominance of Marseille. Marseille's players took advantage of Montpellier's weak defense. Marseille players managed to score 5 goals in this match. Marseille lost points in the last two matches. So Marseille needed this big win to boost the confidence of the players.
