If there was another club in the France league that spent as much money as PSG, we would know whether PSG is actually a strong team or a weak team. PSG spends a fraction of the money behind their club before but other clubs don't spend but other clubs compete well. The biggest reason behind the lack of popularity of the France league is that there are no good teams here to compete with PSG. From the beginning to the end of the season, we feel that PSG will do well in this league and beat all the other teams to become champions. However, if any team other than PSG wins the French league, it will be a matter of great joy for that team.

Actually there are 2 teams that I think are worthy of the strongest challengers of PSG such as Monaco and Marseille. Unfortunately these two teams do not have great finances like PSG. So that at any time if the two teams that I mentioned do not get great support from investors, I am sure League 1 will continue to be a boring league dominated by PSG.
Large investors are one of the biggest encouragement for the development of the team and investors certainly require proof that League 1 or the team that will be in the danged must have a slightly more consistent power. But the fact is difficult for now to bring in professional players from other teams. Because other professional players judge in League 1 will not provide a big career when seeing unattractive competition.

It is true and it can not only happen in Ligue 1, but in other leagues it can also be like that because the financial capabilities of a team will clearly have a big influence on getting the best players through the transfer market. And for now I also see that PSG still has greater capabilities when compared to other teams in Ligue 1 so that PSG can still target the best players in the transfer market later, while other teams may only be able to get mediocre players without any deeper consideration. Mediocre players are not able to have anything against PSG while their reserve players can give them challenges we need only good investments for having things on level otherwise we will be having no changes and PSG will be able to stay into control without any challenge through Qatari investments.

That is why I say Ligue 1 is not so competitive because when it comes to competition only PSG is the only strong team that might have an impact to dominate the league and overall there are almost no other teams that are able to provide balanced resistance in the struggle for the title. The PSG level is above the average team there and even challengers such as Marseille and Monaco are only able to compete for the second to third standings.

The level of popularity of Ligue 1 is not too bad but not many people may have an interest for this league for some reason where there is no more competitive competition. PSG has everything while other teams are unable to make efforts as made by PSG.

That's how League 1 is still very uncompetitive because other teams may not be able to get quality players like PSG. Maybe one of the problems is the financial difference between PSG and other teams.
One real proof we can see right now is Marseille bringing in players from the EPL like Mason Greenwood who is currently making a very good contribution. And the change in performance has increased after the player joined Marseille.

You just spoke my mind even before reading this post. The French league is not just as competitive as it should be, that is why the weak PSG in European competitions is always the reigning champion in their local league. We call that a "local champion" in my country. This is evident with the usual wide gap between it and the next opponent, it is now 10 points on the table between it and (Marseille and Monaco) that have the same 30 points tailing it. Before you know it this season, PSG might have extended these points further and I wonder how they can meet up against their ever-reigning champion.



But we should not excuse this on financial differences, good selection and management may help too if the right players with good winning spirits are selected. We have seen this in the past in different leagues like Dortmund, Leicester City, Arsenal, Napoli etc. where small money that was well spent yielded big results.

I also agree with your words. I can't see any team that can spend money close to what Paris Saint-Germain is spending right now. While Paris Saint-Germain has such a superior squad quality, the teams that try to beat them in the league and become champions are just trying to make a dream come true. The fans don't even accept Paris Saint-Germain winning the French league as a return for the extraordinary money they spend. They now want to win the Champions League. However, it is really hard to do this, they are currently in 25th place in the Champions League.

We have seen PSG win in the last four matches against Lens. PSG's past record against Lens is very good. Although it is Lens' home match, I cannot consider Lens as a favorite. However, in the last three matches we have seen good performance from Lens players. Lens won against Reims and Montpellier and drew with Auxxere.

I don't think it will be very difficult for PSG to win today's match. However, Lens' defense is quite strong. If PSG's attack does not play well, PSG team will not be able to secure 3 points from this match. I think Lens players will want to share points in this match. So PSG players will have to play very carefully from the beginning of the match and attack a lot.

Frankly, I don't see any team in France that can surpass Paris Saint-Germain. Paris Saint-Germain is the best team in this league. We know that. I haven't seen any major negatives in the team, even though they lost Mbappé. They are still the dominant team in the French league.

In this first half-season break, that PSG still has a schedule to play in the Coupe de France against Lens and then, in January before Ligue 1 starts, that PSG still has to play first in the French Super Cup against Monaco. But even so, for domestic competitions I personally remain confident that PSG will still succeed in getting the trophy, whoever the opponent is.

Because after all, that PSG is only bad in the Champion League but even so, there is news that Luis Enrique has no plans to buy players in the January transfer window. PSG ended the year impressively, now they are 10 points ahead of their rivals below them, the gap will not be able to be caught up in a short time maybe Marseille can catch up a little if in January they can beat Le Havre, assuming they get 3 points the gap will be 7 points but as I said it is still too far, maybe it's time to say PSG will be the champions of league 1 this season.

PSG keeps dominating the League with no strong opposition, they are always going Scot free in the League1 because they don’t have competitors that is why they are try to go for Christmas brake with 10 points above any other team in the league which is never done somewhere around top leagues in Europe.

In the likes of Laliga, Bundesliga, Seria A, Premier League, and others, none of them have such points gap between the team at the top and the second team behind them; and with this points difference, PSG is still not doing very well in the Champions League which means that they are not good enough to compete among other teams outside the League1, but since the likes of Monaco, Marseille, Lyon, and Lille are not doing really well, I was expecting Monaco to be well competitive due to how well they start the season, but they lack consistency which is why they never get close to PSG despite their inconsistency either.

Other teams in the League 1 need to be serious so as to give PSG a tough competition against other season because it’s sad for one team to dominate league for more than 10 years.

Speaking about the results of the French Cup games, most Ligue 1 teams had difficulties to win, for example: PSG, Lille, Brestois, Le Havre, Toulouse, Nice, Montpellier, Lyon, Auxerre, Anger. It seems that all Ligue 1 teams are not taking this competition very seriously at this stage, perhaps if it were a final game they would take it very seriously. But the fact that they had so many difficulties shows that most Ligue 1 teams do not have a good quality B team.

I agree with you but if you look at it on the other side, the smaller teams are trying to make a statement and they can't do that if is not PSG they're playing against and the PSG in question have a way of letting the smaller teams to humiliate them before you see them start struggling to gain dominance. This game between Len and PSG was suppose to end at FT without going to Penalty shootout but PSG as we know them don't know when to act as the bigger team in these domestic competition, how I wish Lens was a bit stronger than what we saw to eliminate PSG from the competition.

I think Enrique tends to give younger players a chance every now and then, but of course it ultimately depends on the players themselves. If they have the quality to use any opportunity given to them, then I think chances are not too bad if Enrique is the one in charge. But if he doesn't see the potential, then he can be a tough guy to deal with.

But I think it is also possible that the further PSG gets away in the table, the more likely it is that Enrique gives younger players their chances.

It is now 10 points, but Marseille has to play one more game. But he may consider rotating more now since they have the most important game of the season against Manchester City and he would definitely want all the best and most experienced players for that game, so maybe there is less to gain by not rotating during league games.
