Manchester United lost to Aston Villa today. I never dreamed Manchester United would lose to Aston Villa. Manchester United is a lot like PSG. Lots of star players on the team but the performance on the field is very poor. I haven't seen any good performances from the Manchester United team since taking Ronaldo to the team. However, in this match, I lost the bet. Those who bet on the victory of Aston Villa are the beneficiaries.

There was something wrong with Man United in their midfield. Bruno-Pogba-Greenwood did not play really well to give great assist to Ronaldo. Greenwood is the worst, he was so selfish in this match, he made some speculative shots in bad position while he should be able to find other scenario than made a speculative shot. I dont understand why Ole did not send him off, there are Lingard, Martial and Sancho in the bench who may change the situation. Even worst, Ole prefer to send McTominay off and send Cavani in. Didn't he understand what is wrong with his team?

My annoyance is on Greenwood he was just too selfish with his game  I expected Ole to have subbed him instead of McTominay. Bruno Fernandez gave in his best and as for cavani he came in abit late. Will it be bad to start Ronaldo and cavani. Aston villa has taken their good chance on the mistakes of Manchester united. Sincerely I am not happy with Greenwood. Any one can lose out on a penalty shoot out even the most experienced player so Bruno losing a penalty shoot out is just normal

Drama in the house for Manchester United!

Aston villa just beat Manchester United by a goal and in injury time Bruno Fernandez failed to convert the penalty which should have rescued a point for them, looks like its another lose in a space of 1 week so unfortunate for a home match for United, with this result pressure is mounting on Ole. 

On the other hand the other Manchester club just beat Chelsea by a goal, I guess the pressure was just too much and they couldn't hold and settle for shared points. City wins 1-0.

I think Manchester United underestimated Aston Villa and paid for that. looks like they were trying to stay fresh before Champions League match vs Villarreal on Wednesday.

The defeat somehow fits into the negative image of ManUnited that I have since Ronaldo arrived. After the return of him there was a hype that brought ManUnited two victories in which Ronaldo also shone, then it got worse. It now culminated in the deserved defeat against Bern and Aston Villa. I'm curious how ManUnited will do when they really play against a top team. The game of ManUnited is too much tailored to Ronaldo, which is not good for the team.

Bruno Fernandes definitely won't be able to sleep well tonight. The only hope to get 1 point but he failed to take advantage of the opportunity. Lost streak to Aston Villa and West Ham in the Carabao Cup is not a good result because it can be considered that their performance is declining.

We can't expect Chelsea to continue to win match without losing even when they play against an equally strong team. Manchester City managed to secure full point today as their players managed to keep Chelsea from creating chance. If I'm not mistaken, Chelsea didn't have a single shot on target and they only had a few shots that were completely harmless. I'm happy with Manchester City's victory today even with only 1 goal from G. Jesus.

Didn't Solskjaer want Ronaldo to take the penalty? I understand Fernandes wanting to take it, he's been good in dead ball situations for United. But ultimately as a player you have got to accept what the manager decides. The fact that he missed it might be the tipping scale for the future - I'm sure Solskjaer will make it crystal clear that Ronaldo is taking them from now on.

Regarding the Chelsea - City game, Tuchel based a lot on the counterattack again. This time it did not work out, City was a much better team overall and deserve their win today.

At some point, inaccuracy and a lack of precision cause the match to fail. Regardless, the tactic doesn't work for Chelsea today. However, I'm not sure why they're playing defensively the whole time on their own pitch?

It was a fair win for Manchester City. They had a better ball possession and more action in the attack, with 15 shots and four shots on target.
I honestly don't know why Chelsea played so defensively. Didn't they know that attack is the best form of defense ?

Aston Villa is not weak but Manchester United have a mini trouble here. The honeymoon of Ronaldo in Old Trafford ends shortly and he will feel angry if result won't improve. He is too ambitious and want to win matches, titles and he does not return to Manchester United to end his career without more titles.

Today Chelsea and Manchester United had an unlucky day where they had to lose for the first time in the league. Manchester United dropped points probably because they were trying to reserve energy for the champions league and Leicester looks like the next casualties to drop points because of the mid week games that are lined up and am certain that before the end of the weekend most teams involved in this competition will follow suit especially that the away goals were scrapped off. Any body betting try your luck with the underdog teams or for the draw perhaps.

I don't really tie this to the Champions League matches. Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all played important matches. These are league matches in the end. Chelsea performed really poorly while City were the opposite. City dominated both halves and won the match also with a 1-0 result. And Manchester United lost points in a match that they showed a big effort. Aston Villa surprisingly scored and won the match 1-0.

I also thought so , it would be very strange to have a Penalty Master there but he wasn't the one who took the penalty. Of course this is a very valuable lesson for Solskjær for the future, I am sure in the future we will see Ronaldo who will always take the penalty kick for Manchester United.
