It was a surprise to read that Harry Maguire will remain Manchester United's captain next season, as confirmed by Erik ten Hag. Whether the team is ready for his captaincy will be interesting to see. We continue to support the captain fully and will give him our full attention. At United before, he couldn't succeed because of a policy, but under Erik Ten, he'll be succeeded. To inspire him, all he needs is a reasonable and sensible coach. Let's wait and see how things turn out.

Maybe Erik ten Hag sees that Maguire has the potential to be even better but unfortunately, maybe Erik ten Hag's views with the other players in the squad have differences. However there are a few more defenders under Chelsea' radar now. Maybe it isn't going to be Ake as a result. We haven't heard about Kounde transfer for a long time but they are still thinking of signing de Ligt. If they lose him to Bayern Munich then their first choice would be Ake I think. Honestly Ake would also be a good choice for them.

Like Nathan Ake and few more good defenders are under their radar hopefully they will bring someone as soon as possible de Ligt and one more from Italy all in process, but now they are working strongly on Nathan Ake if they are able to bring him then surely it's going to be good for them after having Raheem Sterling from Manchester City this second transfer will give them good boost.

The defensive lineup of Chelsea is not the most impressive, and I expect them to make a move for Nathan Aké. But as far as I hear, Manchester City is deliberately delaying the move. Probably that's because they want to have a player ready in his place. I don't think Manchester City is planning to be very interested in de Ligt, because already Bayern Munich is offering Juventus almost 90 million Euros for this player and Juventus still is not selling the player. Due to this delay, Chelsea will likely be able to consider other options as well.

That is the right of every coach, maybe if I were a Man United coach I would choose Ronaldo. But perhaps this is the reason Ten Hag motivated Maguire to perform better. They need quite a number of defensive signings because speculations say Alonso and Azpiliqueta are also linked with joining Barcelona. I don't know how serious that news is but if it is true they will need to be replacing four to five players at the back with Rudiger and Christensen already joined Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively. The deal with Manchester City is still stalling in fees and finding a replacement for Ake. Hopefully, they will get one and let Ake join Chelsea.

Raheem Sterling have finally sealed his move to one of Manchester city rival. The Englishman will definitely do better in the club but I'm still doubting because of the number he is probably putting on. I'm strongly against him wearing the number 9 jersey. As we all know it's a curse in the team and someday, someone will wear the number 9 jersey in Chelsea. Sterling deal will include him as one of the highest paid players in the team and also his contract is valid until June 2027.

Nottingham have completed the signing of Liverpool right back, Neco Williams for a total fee of £17.5m with included add-ons.  Neco Williams will find regular playing time in his new team, Nottingham Forest. I think he is a perfect signing for the forest club. Nottingham Forest head coach, Steve Cooper wants to strengthen his defensive areas, because it's a big thing for the club coming back to the Premier League and wouldn't want to misused the chance they've gotten.

Neco Williams did not get enough playing time in Liverpool, but in Nottingham, he will surely get plenty of opportunities to play. But I have to say one thing. Maybe it's just me but I find it really surprising when I see a player assigned to a team that needs to be promoted. This is to get to the level of that team that he was playing for in the first place. With Liverpool recent squad, I think the team is good to go, despite the exit of mane, the team is not looking weaker, though it was a big loss for them but they actually replaced him immediately with Darwin Nunez and that was a good replacement for him. With the team recent squad, I think they are well ready for the season, cause they have one of the best squad recently in EPL.
