It's quite nice to see arsenal can close the pre-season journey with a big win today after defeating sevilla, arsenal pre-season journey this season has gone quite sweet because from 7 matches they were able to win 6 times and lose 1 time, I hope, arsenal positive trend in pre-season they can maintain until Later the real matches in the European leagues and leagues will run, although there are still a few shortcomings in Arsenal game, but as a true Arsenal fan I am quite optimistic that next season Arsenal will talk a lot in the English league competition.

I personally think Arsenal was very amazing in this match against sevilla, especially Gabriel Jesus got a hat-trick. Arsenal appeared offensive since the first half less than 10 minutes between the 10th and 20th minutes, the Gunners managed to score 4 goals, I see Arsenal performance has been improve the score was beyond expectation.

Congratulations to Liverpool for winning the Community Shield Cup in 2022. And also congratulations to Nunez because this is his first trophy with Liverpool this season. as I said in a previous post where Liverpool will try hard to win this final and indeed they did quite well from the start of the match until the final whistle, Liverpool players really looked stunning in arranging attack after attack where the opening goal came from  Alexsander Arnold in the 21st minute which was able to make the game situation even more exciting. Entering the second half, Manchester City could equalize in the 70th minute but Liverpool were able to take the lead through a penalty kick by Mohamed Salah in the 83rd minute and Nunez scored the winning goal in the final minute of the match. I saw nunez and Salah did quite well in this game but not with Haaland because he did one hard shot in front of goal that could have been a goal but he didn't finish well.

The community shield is a tournament that is not highly valued in England. Still, both teams had a decent line-up for the game, so it was a quality game. It was a bad debut, especially for Haaland, which killed a number of opportunities. Especially the chance at the open goal, which was not to be missed, will stay with him for a long time. Everyone had very high expectations for Haaland's debut, and thought he would score 3 goals but it didn't work out at all today. However, we cannot conclude from this match that Liverpool are now the big favorite for the title.

Arsenal were good during pre-season, of course that's to be expected. But of course I think there will be a lot of difference between pre-season games and official competitions because every team needs points to be at the top. The Premier League is at its best at the moment, but there are obviously good expectations from Arsenal this season especially about the possibility of qualifying for the Champions League.

I'm support Arsenal to compete in the top 4, they are good to hope after I've watched some of their games so far. However, I wouldn't be completely sure they could do it without error. So they have to keep improving even though they were pretty good in pre-season.

It was really hard to predict the result but I must admit that Liverpool's getting a very clear win made me surprised a little. I would expect Manchester City to be more challenging. Haaland and Nunez had their first appearances here and Nunez scored a goal as well. Congrats to Liverpool on their win by 3-1!

Manchester City played well but struggled to score goals. I saw Haaland had some chances, but still missed. Obviously it was a good result for Liverpool to start before the 2022/2023 season started, but it was a disappointing result for Manchester City.

Liverpool is likely to maintain their form from the previous season with just a little addition to the squad which will be easier to get the players to be acquainted and know themselves much better and it turned out that Liverpool ended up being victorious and the winners of the community shield. Obviously this will raise more bragging for the Liverpool fans that they are still better than Manchester City even with Haaland and Alvarez's presence in the team.

I expected Manchester City to play much better, but in this match they were disappointing. It's not acceptable to concede three goals from Liverpool, one of which is a penalty. Okay, the match wouldn't have come here if it wasn't for the penalty, but they still had to find the 2nd goal long ago. There is one goal that is not counted because it is turned from outside. Haaland showed how good his finishing was. There is one ball hit the post. Luck was also on Liverpool's side. Manchester City need to play much better in the league. They've already lost a trophy.

For the approaching season, I think the third biggest candidate for the league title is Chelsea now. I was thinking the same for the previous season as well. Chelsea are facing to lose some of their players soon on one hand but they don't have money issues now so they can find new players for their places. Chelsea are playing with a strong system thanks to Tuchel and this makes them still a solid team even though they don't have the best squad in the league.

 

Chelsea is weaker than last season, I even think that for this season they will finish in position 5 or 6 down. I don't see chelsea being a candidate to win the premier league. chelsea is no better than arsenal and tottenham and liverpool and manchester city and manchester united now with this new manager they are doing well and i think they will do better than chelsea unless chelsea had good players which i am not seeing them hire .

I think that it is still early to say that Chelsea are weaker now. Maybe if we just look at the squad yeah there have been some changes. They have lost Lukaku for example and haven't filled his place yet. There are some other likely players to leave as well. However in my opinion it would be better to say that they are stronger or weaker after we see some games in the league. Tuchel is a really good manager that his team can do much better than the expectations too.

Of course they did play better, they had all the time with the ball but had to watch Liverpool score. I guess you can't have it all in a game like this were the both teams happens to be the toughest in England. Liverpool finally gets to win something off Manchester City after trying so hard but was still a point short in the EPL. This is just a tip of the iceberg on what we are to expect on the forth coming EPL season.
One player for which there was much expectations in the game is Erling Haaland. There have been a lot of talks on the player during the transfers and now, a weighty number 9 is been placed on his shoulders and you can tell its such a heavy number for him at the moment and i guess he as well disappointed most.

It's been 16 years since Liverpool won this trophy. It is an important win. Now this team can definitely say they've won everything in England. Plus this still counts as a trophy when comparing most trophies in England with United so were getting closer to overtaking them. In my own estimation, I think the community shield should have more respect as there are teams that will never be able to lift this trophy as it requires winning the PL or FA cup, two biggest in England to even enter this game. Still a prestigious English cup tie in my opinion and should be appreciated a little more.

Manchester City didn't have as much luck as Liverpool had today. Because they weren't very bad although the final score was 3-1. I really hoped Erling Haaland to start the season with one goal at least but it didn't happen unfortunately. Nunez scored instead and this might have made Liverpool fans exciting too. Because he is going to be expected to make a big impact after being signed for a lot of money. This time I wonder if Liverpool and Manchester City will change the roles about the Premier League title.

Actually, in this case they played quite well and the two teams in my opinion were evenly matched until the penalty disaster came there because indeed when viewed from ball possession and the chances of City and Liverpool were clearly balanced.
What Pep has to improve now is that it's still the same as when they were in the UCL against Madrid, They always make basic mistakes in defense that make this can be exploited by the opponent after that their focus immediately broke and it was evident when they focused on attacking Nunez actually made their hopes up increasingly destroyed.

Liverpool happen to be in the best form prior to the end of last season and their have held that level of consciousness if you have been following up with events happening around the club, you would have noticed that. The reason why Manchester City was able to beat Liverpool in the last premier league is that Liverpool started the premiere league on a bad note, their lost some and draw a few games at the beginning of last season and that affected their points, and even though Liverpool tried all they possible best to recover before the end of the season. They could not and if not for that early mistake by Liverpool, Manchester City could have not been a match or winner in the last premier league.
Winning this trophy is just like a walkover for Liverpool and the game serves as a testing ground for what to expect from Liverpool in future competitions.

Obviously it will not be an easy game between Liverpool and City, we will never know who could win these type of games and that's why they have odds like that. Sure City looks better but make no mistake, Liverpool is the team that finished second last year, and played in UCL finals at the same time and won the FA cup, so as you can see why it would be very difficult to predict if they would be any good at all.

I am not saying that they are not good, all I am saying is that they are a club where it would be near impossible for them to be an easy target anyone in the entire world. So maybe odds favor City, but the odds are showing how indecisive this will be.

Manchester United's chances of getting Anthony are very slim and seem unlikely in this transfer window, Erik Ten Hag wants his old players from Ajax to join Manchester United, but with recent statements from the Ajax, it is clear that Ajax are serious about keeping Anthony, he is a vital piece in the plan for the coming season. Now probably in the next when Ajax finally get a suitable replacement for him then they will be willing to sell him.

The city duo haaland & julian alvarez might be just looks perfectly match but nunez x salah seems a bit better in this game , well played despite it's only a community shield ... it's just great to get your first trophy early no matter what it is.

Congratulations to Liverpool! That 3-1 victory over Manchester City was a perfect beginning to the season for certain. This game would have ended differently as well if Manchester City were more capable about scoring goals. The league would be much different from this of course. But Liverpool would be more focused at the beginning of the season as they have won a cup already now. We will see which one of these teams will make a better start to the season. I will look forward to seeing Haaland scoring many goals like he was doing at Dortmund.
