Manchester United played at Old Trafford in the first match of the season and the opponent is not a strong team because Brighton are just a mediocre team, so how can Manchester United lose confidence. Brentford vs Manchester United could be an interesting match up. Although H2H in the past 2 matches, Manchester United have easily won with a goal difference of 2. I don't see them being as confident as last season and coming in with a loss to Brighton & Hove Albion. While Brighton fared pretty well to earn a draw against Leicester at King Power Stadium. I expect a 1-1 draw as an end result but Brighton should go for a win.

Manchester United need to win this match to boost their confidence before facing a stronger team and even favorites to win, Liverpool. Otherwise I'm afraid they will make things worse. Although they can win the pre-season game by a landslide. But the situation will be very different now, because even Liverpool are more prepared.

Arsenal have had Arteta as their manager for three years. I also don't think that he is the best manager for this team but they still somehow manage to do a nice job recently. They are just bad at making the finale good in a season. They missed the Champions League by a small gap last season for example. However the scenario might be different this season. It seems that Leicester City always gives a lot of surprises, but because here Arsenal is still in quite an optimal form, we can still make sure Arsenal has more chances to win the game. Moreover, there were no significant improvements made by the Leicester City club during pre-season and in the transfer market. I mean not as big as Arsenal did, because basically Leicester City is just trying not to be in the relegation zone too quickly. At least for now their job is to make it difficult for Arsenal to score goals.

Judging from Leicester's last match, they will encounter some difficulties winning against Arsenal. We shouldn't forget that Arsenal did pretty good work during the transfer window, their squad are now quite much stronger. Moreover, they will be hosting the game, therefore i think Arsenal probably have high possibly of winning the match. Although, Leicester performance in the pre season was also decent. I see a really competitive match between Chelsea and Tottenham in four days. Chelsea are favoured by bookmakers obviously but I'm not sure about that now. Because Tottenham seem more solid than them considering the matches of the first week. When it comes to the head-to-heads between teams like this, things can change of course. For example it has been a very long time since Tottenham defeated Chelsea in the PL last. But I would rather bet on both teams to score rather than a side.

What? based on the head to head Chelsea mostly won against Tottenham and the match will held on Chelsea's home, so it's make sense why Chelsea is the favorited club. But IMO currently Chelsea performance is quite decrease then their past, I think I would bet for draw since I see the chance. Maybe it would be ended 1-1 or 2-2 considering how Tottenham have better striker, while Chelsea have better defender.

I already stated the head-to-head matches mate. Tottenham can't defeat Chelsea here for a long time which is a psychological advantage for Chelsea of course. Bookmakers are doing the right thing by showing Chelsea as the favourite because the statistics is the most important thing for them. However we are at the beginning of the season now and it is hard to predict what can happen in a match like this. We will see which side is really readier than the other.

Yes it seems so, Manchester United seems selfish and does not accept input from most fans. Even though they've done that and it's proven to be a success.
I'm already confused about what to say about Maguire, because we saw his game, we know what kind of contribution he made. But still he is always the first choice, even irreplaceable.

Ten Hag is like David Moyes and Pochettino but he has achieved more success than Moyes and Pochettino. Their common is they left Everton, Totteham and Ajax to take a higher challenge in their career. Moyes and Pochettino failed to satisfy command of their clubs (Manchester United and PSG). Ten Hag is facing with the same failure but it is only a few months for him in Old Trafford.

I believe he can do his job better. Give him time and come back in the end of this season to verify his work. Think of Mourinho, he started last season not too well with Roma but after the summer break, Roma came back and improved a lot. In the end, they won the Conference League.

Yes, every coach must give the best for his team. However, the strategy adopted by Erik in the early match of Manchester United received criticism from the Manchester United legends where they judged the strategy and misplaced the players as the main point of Manchester United's defeat from Brighton. Erik is a great coach and has had quite a brilliant career so I'm sure he will be able to deal with this situation and find gaps to improve in the next games.

In my opinion, the main problem for Man United is their mentality, this makes it difficult for them to synergize and there is no strong chemistry, so that makes it hard for them to be a solid team. The things that cause it include: minimum achievements (cannot get the trophy), the burden to always be a winning team (the impact of the Sir Alex Ferguson dynasty), there are players/staff who spoil the mood, an unreliable coach, as well as several other things that could be the trigger (the wrong captain, maybe  ).
