Ronaldo's wages are very high. This is why many big clubs will think twice before signing Ronaldo. Moreover, not all clubs can afford Ronald's high wages. And more importantly, I doubt if the big clubs will be willing to spend a lot of money to add Ronaldo to the squad for a short period of time.

Santos insulted Ronaldo. He forgot that Ronaldo's biggest contribution to Portugal's qualification for the World Cup. Santos' stupidity is why they lost against teams like Morocco. I would say Portugal management should sack Santos and hire a new coach.

Santos did not insult Ronaldo, he did what he thinks is best for his team. He tried it in the previous match and it worked and he decided to do it again but it didn't work. Ronaldo should have started the match against Morocco  because they needed that lone, tall figure that they can be crossing the ball to.

Honestly the coach never thought that they can get defeated bu Morocco because they under estimate the power and potential of the Moroccan team. It was a big shock to the world that Morocco was able to defeat Portugal which is still very surprising till today. The coach shouldn't have bench Ronaldo at the first place no matter anything that might happen between them because Ronaldo is a good player that might have scored for the team.

I am pretty sure that it's not going to be that easy to fix, but the amount of money the new owner spent is a lot for the way they are playing. Normally when a team spends this much money, they need to be a lot better, not even close to where they are right now, fight for the top spot levels. They became the team that spent the most money this year if I am not wrong. So all in all I am guessing that it's not really that easy to handle all of this, it's definitely a difficult situation they are in.

Abramovic was great and all for them but the new owner spent money too so I am not really putting the blame on him, this was a bit more manager and whoever bought the players that caused failed results.

I agreed about this its never been easy for anyone to fix issues like this quickly specially first we have change of owner and then change of coach is having the worst impact on team performance, and they are not giving any positive reply with in last five matches they have just two points and tag of worst team in Premier League even Graham Potter is trying to fix issues but things looking not easy with too many quality players are also available, but strategy is not working hopefully during this break they will be able to have fixed few things which will help them for having better results and positive development because now after break we have crucial time in season and many teams will try to increase their performance and try to settle at higher rank for better end of this season.

Abramovich was really in love with soccer and Chelsea, and he achieves many big things which give all details about his love affair, but now new owners spending good amount but still not able to have results like him.

We will start the competition again on December 26th. It took some getting used to, such a month without football in England, where there is usually no break. I wonder how some players deal with this. They are not used to that and do not know how they have stayed fit in the meantime. Leicester City - Newcastle United seems to be a fun game. Newcastle has settled into the top of England and Leicester seems to have climbed out of a deep valley. Liverpool will also have a hard time against Aston Villa, if I'm not mistaken they lost there last year with very large numbers. I thought something along the lines of 7-1 but I may be wrong. So Liverpool has been warned about this opponent.

cristiano is the same as messi who is a player with prestige that influences their team, santos has apologized to portuguese for not playing cristiano from the start of the match, even though portugal successfully beat switzerland but morocco is a different team. ten hag is actually almost the same as santos, he doesn't trust Cristiano, maybe it's part of his strategy to get rid of old players and prioritize young players who are still energetic even though they lack experience (ten hag is doing that).

The World Cup was possibly the best one I’ve ever seen in my 36 years on this planet. The final was beautiful, a great advert for the most popular sport in the world.

Tottenham's performance was a little below Newcastle in general. Newcastle even defeated Tottenham in an away match as you must be remembering. Truthfully it was a really unexpected result for me but here we are. Newcastle just continue to surprise people by their amazing effort in this season. They have completed this part of the season ahead of Tottenham at the third position in the standings. There is only one point between these two teams of course. We will see which one will be able to stay ahead of the other at the end. I'm still favouring Tottenham for that as they have a much more promising squad. They have a great tactician like Conte as well.

tottenham ranking in the top 4 is very unsafe because tottenham has played 15 matches collecting 29 points and manchester united has only played 14 matches collecting 26 points so one game owned by manchester united will bring them both collecting the same points if manchester united can win one game  it has. if you look at Newcastle United so far, they are indeed better than other big teams like Chelsea and Manchester United and even Tottenham, but the competition is still long, so we have to see them compete harder in every game they play in the future. I think the battle for the top 4 will be very fierce because the big teams are currently under the top 4 like manchester united, liverpool and chelsea.

For the opening game, Brentford will play Tottenham and this will also be a good start if Tottenham can get points. Brentford is also actually a tough club and on the other hand, it is not an easy game for Tottenham to secure the standings and shift Newcastle.

Even though Brentford is not a weak team, the opponent he is facing is Tottenham who is ranked 4th in the current standings with 29 points, for sure Antonio Conte will try hard to shift Newcastle and Manchester City, I think Tottenham's match with Newcastle will be won by Tottenham because Judging from the performance this season, Brentford is not too good, but even so, Tottenham has to be careful against Brentford, especially against Ivan Toney. On November 12, Ivan Toney managed to shut Manchester City's mouth 2-1.

Before break Brentford home record was average as they have draw against Chelsea and lost against Arsenal with this we can expect good match between these two teams because Tottenham is also having issues on away games but now how things will be gone after break this is important if Brentford keep their momentum then surely they could be able to have good result and if Tottenham take positive result then surely this is going to be positive for them because now fight for the top spots will be wide open and all teams will be tried their best for having better results Newcastle United is also trying their best for strength of their squad because now they are the serious contender for the top four spots and this will make more entertaining end of this season.

Despite the rough start to the season for Liverpool they have shown glimpse of hope that the season will not end entirely bad. Before the break they managed to win some of their games and so far Jurgen Klopp looks confident to turn things around and good a thing the club has his backing. Hopefully the transfer window will give them a boost if the make signings and help turn things around immediately.

Yes they're in need of a Central attacker but will Griezmann get the job done for Manchester United even at this age ,? The FIFA World Cup saw him as the best midfieder for France but couldn't get a better job done against Argentina..
I don't think Greizmann would be the one for Manchester United, currently moves are to get Cody Gakpo who PSV are currently ready for the sake of the player.

But a move outta Athletico Madrid would be great. Manchester United over the years made bids for him during Jose Mourinho but all of them where all turned down.

I didn't think I'd say this, but a move to United looks like an obvious win for Griezmann. Firstly, he is likely to be able to increase his salary, as United have been extremely generous in their attempts to regain their positions lately. Secondly, leaving the stagnant Atlético, which in the coming years will most likely continue to degrade under the leadership of Simeone, is practically leaving a sinking ship.

Its the first time i hear about this info and its a really good decision for both man united, since they really need quality players and the player for the reasons u mentioned i think he will suit them well since he can play in different positions.

Newcastle United is having tag of surprise package of this season because their performance is surely above the expectations, and they can do better after this break as we have news they are improving their strength and bring quality players which could be brought better results most chances they could be able to stay into top six spots because right now many other big teams are struggling and have no enough quality for compete with them.

Tottenham were also good but in last five matches they lost three and won only two against weaker sides which is surely not good as if they want to stay at top then surely they have to perform good against big teams as well, hopefully things will be changed, and we will have healthy competition after on 26th December.

I also agree with the people who think Gakpo would be a better choice.

It is not a striker who always knows how to score by nature and talent. He plays a lot of mediocre matches, I think you better look for other strikers. For United, almost everything is affordable. But I couldn't name a world-class player who wants to leave his home club. All top strikers are already provided, and Lewndowsky also seems to be having a great time at Barcelona. And Jesus has only just played at Arsenal, he will not just want to leave there.

agree with you, I don't know what ten hag saw from Griezmann, I only saw him appear normally at the world cup, actually Griezmann had been wanted by MU for a long time, it's just that at that time ATM was more nominated

I think misleading or not is still another consideration because in any case it could be another possibility by being at Manchester United he could be much better than he is now.
We've found many examples when a very good player bought by one club doesn't live up to expectations, on the other hand, we've also seen a lot of the opposite, so if Griezmann does go to United, the chances are still two, better and worse, and I don't think it can. Comment first if you haven't tried it yet.

First of all I thank @Trofo for the initiative to create a new thread for the 20/21 season.
I hope this new season there will be meaningful competition for EPL, not just Liverpool and Manchester city. Too boring if only 2 clubs compete. even though the other teams are so amazing and have the best players. But if this season Liverpool win again, I'm still happy.

It's been a bit of a rough season for him in La Liga so this could indeed be the basis for him leaving. on the other hand in terms of salary it is clear that this will increase greatly especially this is the EPL where money is flowing quite fast.
Talking about Manchester United there are some other rumors about Chelsea trying to approach Garnacho now. Is this really going to be another big rumour?

Honestly I don't think Griezmann is playing that much bad at Atletico Madrid now. He has had quite nice amount of assists and goals so far. He can do better than this of course but I still find it enough considering his playing style. He likes to be helpful for his teammates at the same time. He isn't a striker who is fully focused on only scoring goals.

Manchester United would make use of a beneficial player like him honestly. However I wonder how much he would cost them. Because if he doesn't adapt well to the team they might have difficulties in selling him. He isn't young anymore so there wouldn't be many teams willing to pay a lot of money for his wage. Maybe a loan deal might be thought of for Manchester United.

It wasn't all easy for Chelsea when the war started. That was quite a hassle with banking when Ibramovic was still the official owner of Chelsea. That is of course the disadvantage if you do banking with foreigners. And since Brexit, trading has not become any easier for the clubs in England. The competition in England has only gotten stronger in recent years and the influence of owners in this country has also become enormous. Just look at the influence of the Newcastle United owner.

The last two tears have been difficult times for Chelsea, counting from the Russian sanctions that resulted to a change of ownership of the club followed by departure of the clubs head of recruitments which saw Chelsea not been able to get the right players early in the summer and Tuchel being sacked this season. Indeed a lot have been going and with the heightened level of competition it is fair to say the club is going through tough phases and will come out stronger in the end.

Chelsea has made a lot of changes within the club since the start of this season. And so the club is still not stable. At the same time, every team in the Premier League is trying to increase their strength, but the Chelsea team is still far behind. Perhaps they will try to get their favorite players in the next winter transfer window. I don't think Chelsea's performance will continue this season. The Chelsea coach should now focus on trying to stabilize the team and qualify for the Champions League.

In my opinion I think things are much better now judging from the fact after so many changes done at the club they still managed to stay strong and fighting to stay up in the table. With every team doing their best to strengthen their side for the return of the league. Graham Potter should take advantage of this transfer window to strengthen weak positions.
