Apart from that, Newcastle is also in the team that wants to get Ferran Torres. I think these two teams will compete to get this bomber from Barcelona.

The thing about Arsenal for the next season is they will keep working with Arteta while he is more experienced now, I think even the last season Arsenal had a good performance and the only reason they lost the title to Manchester City was because of the Guardiola and because he is an experienced coach unlike Arteta, in the other hand Arsenal doesn't have the superstar like Manchester City and if they get some better players they will have a good chance to show the stronger face of their team in the next season.

Ferran Torres seems to have the potential to be released by Barcelona in the transfer market this summer. Because even since last season Ferran Torres has not been played much as a starter by Xavi. So it makes sense that in this season's transfer market Barcelona will be ready to let him go if another club is interested.

They had suffered some set back and lost points which led to Manchester City who was hot at their heels overtake them and finally win the league. Manchester City no doubt  has a winning mentality and is a superb team.

Injuries have a way of tipping the balance of the team because they will undoubtedly affect some crucial positions, which will change the way the team is structured. Additionally, because Arsenal lacked a winning mentality, their performance plummeted when they were expected to accumulate more points, which is when they started losing. I pray Arsenal performs better since they have tested glory they will want to do better next season.

@Iroh, A mistake can happen once. But when the same mistake happens the next season, I think there are some problems. If I remember correctly the same thing happened with Arsenal in the season before this one as well. So we cannot say that Aslam just was not ready for this. Arsenal had to be ready for this because this had happened before.

I simply think that Arsenal took it a little too easy when they had a good lead in terms of points. And I think that simply came back to haunt them. Gvardiol has told its club leipzig to sell him to the manchester city. It seems like that gvardiol very interested to leave from leipzig and move to the new club that has won treble winners last season. Guardiola seems to be interested in de Jong now as this article says. That would be an interesting exchange as they let Gundogan go and try to replace him with a much younger player. Maybe this has all been set up without anyone knowing if this transfer really happens. I think de Jong is more defensive than Gundogan and scores a lot less goals in his time at Barcelona, but Guardiola seems to have an idea about how to proceed with Manchester City next season.

Now THAT makes sense for sure. I never believed that Kovacic was a good replacement for Gundogan, sure Kovacic is decent but that dude was the captain of a team that did treble, and Kovacic is not capable of being as good as that.

To see De Jong there instead? That could definitely change some stuff and we may end up seeing some better players for sure. I know that it is going to be pretty tough to handle and we are not going to end up De Jong go for cheap, with Barcelona being in financial trouble, they may want to end up with a loss for sure and that means they may want to sell De Jong for a lot of money to solve all their financial troubles with just one sale, and that's why something a lot more could be considered. However, City is rich enough to be able to pay for it, so I guess that could still happen.

I don't know whether de Jong would be worth even more. I think 100 million a lot already, but the transfer market has become unpredictable anyway so it doesn't really make sense to speculate about the final amount. But there is still a gap that Gundoan leaves behind even when de Jong comes in. Gundogan has these offensive qualities that neither Kovacic nor de Jong have and I usually think that Guardiola loved Gundogan for his dual strengths in defensive and offensive movements. de Jong's stats are far inferior in terms of scoring, but equal in other respects. Guardiola is usually a big fan of players who are strong in any regard.
