That is a good question! You know.. the more people that actively go in there and request uno, the more interest they will have in listing it.
My guess would be that Uno doesn't trade in a high enough volume for the likes of most exchanges.

What is the reason we still cannot bring uno on other exchanges? for example poloniex
I think we could get on Polo if we really wanted it. A Chinese exchange would be my first choice, since it would bring something really new to the Unoverse. But I'd rather have a couple of good markets than too many small lightly traded markets.

I'm having a lot of trouble trying to find a block source for UNO to synchronize my wallet (Wallets v0.10.bluechist complied by Blazr2) since the last update. I've successfully updated & synced other coins without issue and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this as well?
Hi Digicoinuser, Welcome! Here is a post that shows how to create an Unobtanium.conf file in Windows. I hope it helps. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=527500.msg11422814#msg11422814Awesome, I had to place the .conf file in a different directory as I was storing the blocks on a separate drive but everything is good. Thanks to you and BitcoinCharlie I'm all synced up!

@digicoin Great news! Glad it worked!
@Edgar Could @digicoin's issue be the same one you are having on your 64 bit machine?

on one machine (64bit) yes!! dozens of reinstalls does nothing on another machine (32bit) nope! was a brief hiccup but it rectified itself. ive actually given up trying on my main machine (64bit) I Do NOT think its related to the (32/64 bits) but i cant explain. is there an older version still around somewhere? just to try Thanks for the confirmation, yes it is a 64bit machine. I'll try a few more things and see if I can get a source but I left it up all weekend to no avail. I recently introduced a colleague to $UNO. We downloaded the 64-bit v0.10.bluechist wallet, unziped and opened it. It did not work after being open for an hour. It wouldn't sync. I recalled a situation earlier where someone suggested to download the .conf filed and place it in the %appdata% Unobtanium folder. We closed the wallet, downloaded the .conf file from www.unobtanium.uno, placed it in the %appdata% folder, started the wallet again. It took about five minutes, found nodes and synced completely. Sorry for the long-winded response, but did you try placing the .conf file manually? I will check and update some additional seednodes then recompile Blueschist for you all; Bryce's build was missing the testnet one and had my old nodes by addresses needing updated. Sorry for any hassle! New build soon, the .conf trick should work in the interim--or a peers.dat.

ive tried with and without .conf file MANY times always to no avail. and to be quite frank - its rare that a .conf file is actually required. but i WILL try again, just to be 100% sure. nothing ventured etc E2A - Nope... Guess i'll wait for the new build. >screams silently<

If it's any help, I execute the wallet with this in the Right-Click > Properties > Shortcut > Target -
C:\Program Files\installed\Unobtanium\unobtanium-qt.exe -datadir=L:\WalletDir\installed\wallUNO
The datadir is where I needed to place the .conf file.

re: more exchanges 1. China first and foremost. 2. Polo .... before I was eager to push for getting listed there ... but not so haaaaat on the idea now. KYC. Nope. Sorry I'm out. They are requiring 'gov' verification. LOL and they are the 'anon' market for Monero, Dash, Duck. Second reason is they really don't have any coins i like. Their leading coin's Ripple and Nubits, they are clearly given up on being a alt-coin xchange and are focused on becoming a asset/fiat/forex gateway. (Better to work with an off shore doing exactly the same ... like one in China). If they list us okay, if you want to 'request' okay, but my suggestion is ... not worth the effort (low returns). 3. Cryptopia ... that is the future. We can own that exchange. It can be the 'Un' exchange. --- re: invading China 1. I recommend working with DMD or others. Because if we pay a guy $500 and they pay him/her $500 then we have a better chance of getting an 'employee' like rep, willing to dedicate themselves more towards the project. We will need someone to constantly work the forums, and make media contacts, and the biggie they need to be native chinese + love crypto (rare coins). 2. SirSmokes said something a couple pages back. And I think he is right. For more immediate gains better to focus on the end-of-the-world crowd. That be folks who are active online, and betting on a fiat doomsday happening so are 'preppin' for the event. I agree, this is the audience if/when we pay for ads. 3. Do both. Let's find a Chinese speaking UNO enthusiast. Let's start to explore how to promote UNO in 'English' outside of the crypto-verse. ---- Chinese threads https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=118.0someone just quoted me 0.3btc to translate the OP

Guess i'll wait for the new build. >screams silently< finally got a new password. I have the same problem as you Edgar. I just have not been able to login to / agree/compare. Tried all this non programmer knows. Add node function does not work in new 10 model it seems and it comes packaged without any nodes. Windows 7 64 bit system. My wallets are on this laptop. It is used for nothing else. It is what would pass for a clean windows build.....if indeed this was possible hehe. UNO was working fine with 10 + nodes before upgrading at merge. Since merge cannot find any nodes. I havent traded any Uno---as I cannot. I will wait for the new one with changes. Regards, Tacktic.

First: good luck to all with tech problems.
And: Go, Blue Man!
And:
spent 40 mins on the phone this morning, talking to the Greek Chamber of Commerce in Perth. The guy I spoke to has a degree in economics. He'd heard of Bitcoin. Asked all the right questions.
Now, it was just an excursion; but it's now so so so much easier to broach the subject of cryptos (tee hee -- Unobtanium, in this case). I explained that the trick is to get some local businesses to accept Uno, thus precluding the problem of shuffling back and forth between Uno and fiat.
So, Greek-Australians, etc. could pump money into a network of wallets in some town in Greece itself, and those locals could buy stuff from the local businesses that have wallets, and then some tourist organisations could be approached to pump Uno into the network.
Bingo! 'Krypto-traction'!

I like this 'Krypto-traction'. I think we get real world action in Greece. a) Target 1 small town/village. Yes work with Greek Chamber in Perth. See if we can get just that 1-5 businesses that take UNO. Perhaps Ozzie-Greeks will use UNO to send cash into the system. b) What about the gold dealer in Istanbul? Talk about convertable-ity.

When things have quietened down, B.N., I'd like to post an essay about the relations between (a) community members who want 'transactional' volume (merchant network), and (b) community members who want speculative volume (trading and not necessarily a coherent community), and (c) the connection between The Move from Fiats to Cryptos and merchant-network development, and (d) how a pro-decentralization coin's community can put in place 'stabilisers' to (somewhat) protect that coin's price, and (e) how entering a new market -- like China -- relates to all these other things.

IMZ GOOD IDEA! I hope that is possible somehow! Uno is ready right now to be mass adopt with no inflation... not in some distant future like other cryptos....
