I wonder whether it was Mourinho who wanted Bale or whether it was Tottenham chairman Levy that got him from Real Madrid and asked Mourinho to accommodate him.

That was a huge gamble from the Tottenham chairman Levy, he singlehandedly brought Bale to Tottenham he was never a Jose Mourinho kind of player. I think the issue here is trust, Bale is suitable in a counter-attack formation because of his pace and ability to cut from the edge of the box but his off-ball movement and making ability is quite poor. Mourinho side plays a massive defence and a one-man attack system. He trusts Sissoko in that position because of his workforce.

That been said I also want to look at it from the political angle it, a similar incident happened with Crespo and Shevchenko under Mourinho at Chelsea, they were brought in singlehandedly by Abramovic and forced Mourinho to use we all know how their Chelsea story ended. From peak to flops because of lack of game time. It's a typical Mourinho thing.

If a manager does not want a player then the chairman really should not try to impose a player on the team. Bale and Tottenham have not clicked since his return. Mourinho clearly does not want him.

Is anybody here baffled as to exactly what is going on at Tottenham between Bale and Mourinho? The manager has hardly played him since he arrived under huge publicity.

It probably was a mutual decision which in theory, worked for both parties. Spurs get another experienced attacking option and RM gets to take Bale's high wages partially off of their books. Mourinho says that Bale lacks ambition and isnt showing desire to play, in his recent interview. Bale still has quality in him but his pace has been lacking. He can still create chances out of nothing. The issue for Mourinho is that he has too many attacking options already which are Tottenham's players. So, isnt it better for him to just play Spurs players instead of a player on loan who will go back to his parent club in half a season? That's what he's been doing as far as I can tell and also the fact with Bale's lack of desire to play. It only makes sense to bench him. 

I am not sure it was mutually agreed between the chairman and the manager because Mourinho is clearly not playing him and he is not part of his plans. It seems like the chairman is the one who brought Bale to Spurs.

Leicester 3-1 Liverpool

Wtf did I just watch? 3 goals in a space of 7 mins, that is a 3 consecutive L for Liverpool I've said it several times that Thiago adds nothing to the midfield all he does is sideways passes, Liverpool I've won once from all the games he has featured in this season, he was brutally boss by Ndidi in the midfield. Is Allison in his right set of mind? he has contributed 100% to Liverpool loses ever since he came back. If Chelsea and Westham win Liverpool will finish the week 6th position.

RESULT:

Leicester City 3-1 Liverpool

After a 0-0 first half, Liverpool score first in the second half to take the lead but 3 goals from Leicester in just 7 minutes tore Liverpool apart.

For Liverpool it looks like the end of an era.... the 2017-18 and 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons will not be repeated.

They had those two amazing back to back seasons with consecutive Champions League finals (losing the first, winning the second) and also finishing runner-up in the EPL only to win it a season later. Yes Liverpool are hampered by injuries but clearly several players do not want to be there. Salah is scoring again but probably wants to move it looks like so do so many others.

With Chelsea, West Ham, Everton and Tottenham all directly behind Liverpool in the EPL table, they might not qualify for the competition at the end of the season. Klopp seems to have had his peak as manager an should leave at the end of the season because he seems to have lost the dressing room.

As for Leicester, they get stronger and srtonger and they move in to second place just 4 points behind leaders Manchester City but have played two games more than them.

Brighton and Hove Albion 0-0 Aston Villa


Crystal Palace are just playing average football one week, mediocre the next week and excellent another week but Burnley really been playing excellent football recently. Of their last 6 EPL games they have W3 D1 L2.

Manchester City demolished Tottenham 3-0 and sit comfortably at the top of the EPL table. They will will comfortable winners at the end of the season but Leicester will not allow Manchester United an easy ride to second place they will want to be runners-up themselves.

Southampton 1- 2 Wolves . FT

Southampton led in the first half from Danny ings early goal but got battered by wolves in the second, Ruben Neves got the equaliser from the spot-kick and Pedeo Neto finished it up with a brilliant goal in a space of 26 mins to give his side a dramatic and unexpected comeback. What has gone wrong with Southampton? From fighting for top 4 to 13th position in a space of 3 weeks. Lost their last 5 games.

Westbrom 1-1 Manutd  FT

Not a result Manchester United wanted another point slide away, from being a tittle contender to a top 4 hunters, they secured a point from a difficult ground to play from a volley goal form the best midfielder right now Bruno just before the break to put them level.

Anyway, Wolves get 3 points at Southampton. Manchester United only manage a draw against West Brom. Arsenal vs Leeds and Everton vs Fulham games are taking place later.

Arsenal get three points against Leeds but the game that stands out for me was the one at Everton because Fulham who are in 18th position in the EPL table won 0-2 and are now just 7 points away from safety. They might catch 17th place Newcastle within the next 3-4 games

Unexpected scoreline for me I didn't expect Leeds to go 3-0 down at half time to Arsenal side who has been struggling for some time now. I didn't know how Arteta was able to exposed the tactician Marcelo Bielsal in the first half I think the second half was different Arsenal lost the tempo immediately Willian was sub in, I think he has been a liability this season to the team. Smith Rowe has been tremendous this season so far. Congratulations to Auba on his well deserved hat trick after his heavy goal drought.

Everton 0-2 Fulham

Forget about Everton just when you expected them to do something they disappoint, they might end up not getting anything this season, Westham and Arsenal are ready to fight for the Europa League spots and if care is not taken Everton might lose out, they are so inconsistent. Fulham is going no where they are destined for championship

West Ham United 3-0 Sheffield United

Chelsea 2-0 Newcastle United



West Ham are now in a European position sitting two points above Liverpool, their manager David Moyes has been a revelation because he has taken them from strength to strength. Sheffield United are 14 points from safety, they will not be able to stop their relegation and they still sit bottom of the EPL table as they have done all season.

Chelsea continue to improve under their new manager and Newcastle are getting closer to a relegation position they sit 7 points clear otherwise they are getting relegated.

It is one of the closest ever seasons that I can remember. Only 11 points separate 1st place to 4th/5th place. Reigning champions Liverpool have now fallen to 6th place and out of a Champion League place.

Like I predicted earlier it was not an easy game it was really tough but thanks to the own goal wolves were able to get their most needed 3 points to move ahead of wolves on the log with just a few points below Arsenal. Unfortunately, Bamford  equalizer was disallowed by VAR and labelled offside. I was pleased with that decision

Southampton were close to winning this one going in 1-0 at half time but it ended in a draw after Chelsea equalised from a second half penalty.

Burnley and West Brom played out a goalless draw.

Liverpool have now lost their last 4 consecutive EPL games at Anfield which equals their worst ever period going back to 1923. Everton beat Liverpool for the first time since 2010 and it is the first time they beat Liverpool at Anfield since 1999. Both teams have the same number of points but Everton have played less games.

(update) Fulham are still trying to escape the relegation zone but are now just 3 points away from safety. If they survive then it is Newcastle United that fall in to the relegation zone. Sheffield United have no realistic chance of surviving in the EPL now,
