my falcons only mining at 8Mh/s..... hopefully it will go up. and good to know about the pause trick. i was clicking it a thousand times to try and read it quick!

your chip count needs to be 128 you have it at 64 maybe that will fix it?

I was doing the exact same thing trying to get the error message up glad milesbitcoin told me about the pause function

sorry i meant black widow. Im still waiting for my falcon. had names mixed up

this is beyond pissing me off. I tried using the zencontroller and that isnt working. Just sits on searching for zencontroller on the website. and here is my .bat file

cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://power.wemineltc.com:3333 -u user.worker -p x --nocheck-golden --chips-count 64 --ltc-clk 328 -S COM17 (also tried COM4 with and without the slashes)

Add pause to the end of your .bat and let us know what errors you're seeing.

On top of that, what COM port is listed under your Device Manager?
Hey waldohoover post your ltc address id like to donate you something for posting the solution to get mine working

Hi everyone,

Our manufacturer asked us to inform you that when powering the bigger miners (Black Widow, Falcon, War Machine) with 8 pin PSUs (typically for regular computers) with a 6 +2 pin connectors, to only use the 6-pin connectors. Don't use the extra 2 pins to make it 8 pin.

Using those extra 2 may damage the wires and the wires themselves may need to be replaced so please take caution.

Server PSUs are fine (as long as the top is all positive and bottom all negative)!

If you've had any problems at all with this, please contact us at:

support@gawminers.com or rami@gawminers.com

Thank you!

So far I'm not very happy. My Falcon is drawing 1120W which is 230% more than it was originally supposed to be (and well beyond what my 850W PSU should be doing), the connectors are wired incorrectly, the fans are backwards (blowing out instead of sucking in), it ran under 25Mh for the first 10-15 min, and the ZenController is terrible.

Wait, the fans are supposed to blow in?  Mine sucks the air out.

Fans blow hot air out and cool air get sucks in the air vents in to the box.

I just tested my Black Widow and the air is definitely being sucked through the unit.  If I put my hand in the back, the airflow is restricted.  To me, airflow sees fine.

It appears that's the way they intended to put them in but it's wrong. The PSU is trying to blow out the back, the fans out the front. You want positive pressure, not negative.

All case fans that I have seen always blow the hot air out the back side.  This allows cool air to be suck in the air vents in to the box.

DHL was sitting in front of my place when I got home.  Grin I  snapped a few pics of my Fury.

http://i60.tinypic.com/2hsb0iq.jpg

http://i60.tinypic.com/2qao2vn.jpg

It literally took 5 minutes to get the thing mining on the Zen controller. Interestingly my Fury running on Zenminer showes up on my GAW hosted dashboard. There's some kind of connection here.

Zenminer hash rate = 1.3MH/s
Pool hash rate = 1.354MH/s
Reject rate =.59%
Power draw = power brick + Fury = 48 watts (measured with a Kill-a-Watt)

Loves

Fast shipping
Fast setup
Fast hash rate
Free Pi

Hates

Zenminer website incompatible with Lastpass (BOOOO!)
Zenminer website shows virtually no mining information (hash rate, miner type (i.e. Fury, Black Widow, etc.), IP addy, and MAC addy)

Wants

GAW to keep up the good work
GAW to keep providing open source mining software
Zenminer to change a lot of stuff

edit: added reject %

Can anyone please confirm what power connectors the black widow requires? Is it just 2 x 6 Pin PCI-e? or does it need 4 x 6 Pin PCI-E? or 2 x 8 Pin something?

Trying to figure out what PSU I need to buy, if any (I have 2 x 6 Pin PCI-E available)

Looks like 2 PCI-E but I Can't tell since Luke told me that 4 x 6 pin PCIE were needed and I see 2 extra slots in that picture.

2 x 6-pin PCI-e.  You don't need the extra 2 pins.

Glad to see pics going up

Got a favor to ask. I am meeting with the CEO of ZenMiner tonight. I would like to talk about the features our customers want and the order of priority.

Is someone willing to make a form that will allow people to add features and the ability to vote? If possible, we need to do it asap. This way I have it in time for the meeting.
