Both Messi and Ronaldo countries don't have the best team on paper in this world cup. This is likely their last worldcup but these legends might still want to have few games with their national side after the world cup. In terms of an identity, cohesion and commitment, the Argentina team seems to be slightly better than that of Portugal and hopefully it will be a great worldcup for Messi.

I supported the Argentine national team when Batistuta played there and then for some time due to inertia, but now I will wish that this team did not go far in the upcoming tournament. Wales - Ukraine game looks difficult to predict, both teams is very similar level. Ukraine weren't favorites against Scotland, but they completely outplayed them. But I don't expect such scenario today. Bale didn't played for Real during season, but he remains to be key figure in Wales squad

I also would have loved for Ukraine to go to the World Cup for what their country is going through but after 64 years finally Wales is going to take part again in a World Cup.In November,it will be the first time that a World Cup will be held at such time maybe because of the extreme hot weather in Qatar where the Cup will take place.It will be interesting to see what will happen but seeing what the European teams are doing in Nations League I am pretty confident the World Cup will not go in Europe this time,they simply are playing extremely bad right now in the Nations League.

That's right, being at home was a significant plus to Wales but Ukraine looks great too, it's just that we witnessed that mistake. Congratulations to Wales for managing to qualify for the World Cup after defeating Ukraine by 1-0. It wasn't an easy work for them at all of course. Ukraine were the much better playing side actually and they increased their goal attempts and dominance even more in the second half. Nevertheless it was still not enough for scoring any goal. Wales must be grateful for the own goal Yarmolenko scored. I really wanted to see Ukraine in the World Cup after seeing this performance but it was an unfortunate result.

Weird that we still had some sort of world cup elimination games during this period, we have nations league and teams playing games there. That is a new thing that tries to replicate the world cup or whatever but in a bit more lengthy process and never really gives fun.

Most teams do not even bring their A teams there neither, we keep on seeing the future stars of those nations, and that is not a bad thing because players that are 18-25 are good for these type of showcase stuff, to provide their talent to the world so that everyone would be watching, better than the domestic league games of course. But, it is still not an amazing one at all, quite boring to watch unless you are a scout.

This weekend, Sunday, Wales will face Ukraine for a World Cup spot. Ukraine won vs Scotland previously but Wales is better so I guess the game will be harder.
Bookies are showing almost similar odds, 2.7 Wales / 2.8 Ukraine with BTTS lower than not.. It seems to be very unpredictable and either team could win.

I watched the match yesterday on SONY LIV, and enjoyed every bit of it. Gareth Bale was spectacular and his goal was awesome to watch. In the end, Wales did something that Scotland failed to do. If you look at the stats, you may get an impression that Ukraine dominated the match (68% possession, 22 shots against 10 for Wales, and 9 shots on target against 3). But I never got such a feeling while watching it live. It was more or less an even contest. In the end, the team with better defense won the game.

For Qatar 2022, Wales is placed alongside England, Iran and the United States. Advancing to the knockout stage should not be that hard, if they could win against Iran and the US.

It was not my expectation that Wales would do so, but they did. Despite their good play in full time, Ukraine did not have the luck they needed. A new chapter in history has begun. A 64-year wait came to an end when Wales defeated Ukraine to qualify for the World Cup for the first time since 1958. I would like to thank Wales! In the interest of football. Bale and the entire Wales team deserve congratulations.
