All the group is pretty balanced, only Portugal group and Germany group might look tedious, the real excitement of this year world Cup might start probably from quarter final matches, England has the most fair group, if they fail to qualify they need to overhaul all their players and coaches

the USA won't be so easy to beat, although england managed to win and score a lot of goals in the qualifying matches in this group stage things will be very different or maybe england will show us that they can also score a lot of goals in the games of the groups? well we will see, but they need to be careful with the US because it might surprise them

I think Fifa needs to increase the participants from all other continents too, Europe has lots as compared to other content

the African continent is the most wronged, it doesn't even seem like it's a continent with more than 50 countries, it only has 5 teams in the world. that is very unfair

The strongest African team in this world cup is in group F. Sadly, they might not make it out of that group. It's a tough group. Only Senegal I will put my trust on. Ghana's group is doable. It’s for sure that Ghana will never beat Portugal and Uruguay. Senegal and Cameroon appear to be in fair groups to advance in the last of 16. With Senegal, I haven't heard of Qatar so much with football despite them being the host country. Ecuador cannot bring something extraordinary against Senegal, except for Netherlands in group (A). The only African team that is realistically having a chance is Senegal, the others will come back home but except something change from the Ghana I saw against Nigeria, Ghana will not make it out.

But of course I want a surprise from Japan here and now I am waiting for Costa Rica to be here now because there are indeed some pretty good players there and I hope names like Vargas and Navas can take part in the world cup even though it can be said as an underdog team

It is true that Africa has very few participants. Unfortunately, in the past World Cups African teams were not able to compete with European and South American teams. I remember reading articles repeatedly before the last World Cups that now is the time for the African teams to shine, but in the end it mostly ended in disappointments and early eliminations. I hope African teams can perform better this year. I think Senegal in Group A, Moroco in F and Ghana in H might have a chance if they don't lose against their direct competitors.

There are some differences in the group strengths of the top teams. Still, I think it's pretty clear for each group who will advance to the next round. Normally all teams that are ranked 1st and 2nd. The difference with the teams from group 3 is too big. The exception is of course the group with Qatar, but they do not belong in group 1 in terms of strength. That would rather be group 4, and even then somewhere at the bottom. As number 51 in the world. Poland would also have a chance in itself, they have a pretty strong team.

I do not think that African nations will have as much trouble as people claim they might. I mean they are not the best ones for sure, but what did you see from Americas or Asia that made you think that Africans would be the worst? Europe is always the most noted ones, and Brazil outside of Europe is the most noticeable one as always and have always been but not really that amazing this year neither.

I am guessing that we could put Senegal there along and we could say Europe + 2 teams seriously playing this year. Aside from that England probably have the most to say this cup, they had a terrible loss that they can't live with and want to get revenge for it.

If we think about the group of A & H then these are almost death group. All the participants in here are strong enough to qualify. Senegal has performed well and lastly there are in world cup. I hope they have a good chance to qualify.

It is really weird to have some groups with three teams in the World Cup. But the system works the same still. And I don't see any group that is full of tough teams actually. All of them seem to be like there are two huge teams and the remaining are far worse. It is interesting to see England and USA in the same group as I didn't witness it in the past. Actually it is not the only interesting group of course. This is going to be one of the interesting World Cups as it is going to start nearly at the end of November.

ecuador is much stronger than senegal, they even managed to draw against brazil, they managed to beat mexico, they managed to beat chile and we have to see that ecuador has no problem scoring many goals like senegal has, in my opinion senegal and all african teams will go home very early, this is unavoidable given that they have no quality of play, the disaster that was seen in the CAN and even in the qualifying games for the world it was clear that the african teams are very low in In terms of quality, of course they have some high quality players but in terms of the team in general African teams don't have any chance in this world cup

Japan really has low chances in this match no matter how much everyone wants an outsider in the group to go through to the next stage. Some really intrested groups in the upcoming world cup. Brazil , Switzerland and Serbia will play again like in the last world cup so that is wierd draw honestly

Africans are trying too when it comes to football but you cant compare them with Americans in so many ways, their football tactics are different and the Americans or England players tend to be more professional than the Africans footballer, if we are to start by listing the whites from the black the difference is much but they both has a unique role and significance they play when it comes to football.

plenty world class player that still showing their masterpiece on the field, england had the bright future with their youngster... but that is never enough to win something especially a world cup. netherlands, brazil, argentina and portugal could always surprise us as well. we will see, it's get excited day by day .. of course not really exciting for the italians , unfortunately ;(

Results of draw gave us very ballanced groups. None of all groups can't be called as death group. Offcourse, we still can't get clear image in some groups when there is still few qualifier games remaining.
From all games, USA vs Iran sounds very interesting, offcourse, not from footbal perspective.

Yes, Europe does have too many teams. There needs to be more of a balance. I understand that if you picked the strongest 32 teams in the world, a lot would be European. But it's a world cup and should have a lot more participants from other continents. And if there were fewer European teams, it would make European qualification more exciting.

Don't agree about it. I think that current system is optimal, but anyway, from 2026 they're going to increase number of teams from 32 to 48 and not UEFA will get most of new spots. 48 is way too many teams and level of competition will drop - there will be plenty of not watchable games in group stage. Facts don't lie, teams not from Europe and South America barely can get out from group stage with few exceptions.

Group A looks interesting. Qatar has IMO around 50% chances of qualifying to the next round. Netherlands in all probability will finish on top, but there is going to be fierce competition from Qatar, Senegal and Ecuador for the second position. I am more inclined towards Ecuador, since CONMEBOL teams are the best in football. Senegal on the other hand is famous for upsets, although their form has gone down recently. Qatar needs at least one win and a draw to progress to second round and it will be easier for them to defeat Senegal than Ecuador.

This year world cup is much interesting. A lot of countries are getting prepared by the day, and I'm suddenly at  the back of the defending champions France. They did it back at Russia 2018, with a thrilling 4-2 win over Croatia. I believe that they can still do it again for the third time, although this year can't be compared to 2018, because different countries are bringing in their new pattern of play.  But I'm sad because it's going to be the last world cup for the two great G.O.A.T. I don't know what will become of football when this two Big Names retired from football.
