I think one of Italia's problems was her self-confidence. They won the European a lot because England approached the game tactically. And then throughout the qualification for the Worlds, they had all the conditions to have a direct stop, but they showed a very passive attitude. They ended up having bad luck against North Macedonia.

But the same can be said of Portugal, they had all the conditions to have gone directly to the World Cup, but because of the coach's bad tactical decisions, they ended up having to play the playoffs.

Italy deserved to win the game against North Macedonia because they had like thirty shots and they possessed the game in most of the half. Imagine a team like North Macedonia coming in to upset their game in the added time of ninety minutes. I'm sure Robert Mancini did not see that one coming; being eliminated from the FIFA world cup.

now it's 2022 which means it's been 20 years since we can't become world champions, only Argentina can reach the cup final in 2014 but was defeated by Germany. I think it's time for countries from Latin America to become world champions. Maybe the strongest candidates are Argentina and Brazil, but I prefer Argentina to be able to advance to the final again after 2014 was defeated by Germany. I think this is the right time for Argentina because they have just won the Copa America, and the Argentine squad this year is more qualified than last year. I bet a lot on Messi and the guys.

I wouldn't really agree with you.
Before Italy, Macedonia beat Germany away and showed that their results are not accidental and that they have a good team, especially in defense.

I don't think that North Macedonia can do the same against Portugal as well. They got very lucky against Italy certainly. Italy took control of the game from the start but they still couldn't score a goal despite having 30+ goal attempts. It must be the most unlucky day for Italy and the players were so sad after being eliminated by a weak opponent. But I'm not expecting North Macedonia's luck to exist against Portugal too. Portugal would score an early goal and win by 1-0 or 2-0 I think.
