The promotion of the Polish national team to the World Cup may not be a big surprise for me,

but i hope that the polish team will not be eliminated from a big tournament again, as unfortunately happened in the last tournaments.
of course, it depends on the group draw - but in my opinion, poland should be strong enough to come out of the group successfully.

Poland currently is 28th in the FIFA ranking, they will likely end up in pot 3 for the group draw, meaning that it is very likely that they will have 2 stronger teams in their group. Only the 2 best out of the 4 teams per group will advance to the K.O. rounds. Based on this it strongly depends in which group Poland ends up and how they perform against the (on paper) "stronger" teams. Possible groups could be with Brazil and Netherlands (bad for Poland) OR Portugal and Switzerland (rather doable)

With some luck Poland could also end up in Group A with Qatar (which is set in pot 1), then they would have very good chances to survive the group stage.

Very juicy odds are given by bookmakers on Canada's win against Panama - 2.1... I think I can take this chance! I think Canada will win without any problems... The second interesting match is Costa Rica vs USA. The odds are 2.25 to win the USA... Of course I'm not sure if the USA is the clear favorite here, but I'll try to place a multi bet on the win of Canada and the USA...

Hmm on the first sight it looks like easy money, but keep in mind that Panama won at home against the USA and played a draw vs Mexico. Canada had mixed results in their away games: 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss. Now this is the last game and there is nothing at stake anymore, so it's basically a friendly game. Canada might experiment with players/tactics, Panama might try harder for the win.

Costa Rica vs USA is a similar situation, Costa Rica is pretty strong at home and the USA not the best in their away games. Except there is still something at stake here: USA could play for the 1st rank (even though there is no real use for it, but it might be a matter of pride to surpass Canada?) and Costa Rica still has a theoretical chance for the 3rd rank, even though it's unlikely that Mexico will lose vs El Salvador.

The Fullbacks never supported the midfield nor the attack. It was just an unorganized bunch of foreign based players. How he featured Ademola Lookman and Emmanuel Denis from the start remains a mystery to me. From the defence to the midfield everything went poor, no any ball playing midfielder nor a juggler. Yeah it was an interesting game usa team was better but they  missed a lot of chances especially in the first half and they payed in the second half i think costa rica will advance to the world cup new zealand is not a difficult team to beat.

For the World Cup, I don't think that France will be reaching the championship. I see Brazil ahead of them already now. I'm saying this considering the statistics of both teams in the qualifiers. France haven't been too impressive to me. But Brazil were way opposite of them. In certain circumstances, I think the individual achievements of the players must be eliminated first where the team's target must be prioritized. Ronaldo didn't score, but he did contribute to Bruno Fernandes' first-half goal which was his only assist of the match.

It just doesn't happen because elimination process makes sure that some good teams matchup with other good teams and at least one good team gets eliminated, when bad team vs bad team matches up, a bad team could go and this is why we see good teams eliminated at times, and bad teams going instead.

there is a difference, but I would not be so sure that Uruguay is much stronger than Senegal for example
yeah, draw will put everything in real perspective, two strong teams from Europe, or combo between strong Euro team and Brasil/Argentina is probably enough to diminish chance for African/Asian team in the group

Unless they improve in their game style and performance, these teams will remain an easy target for the other teams. Some nations have a limited ambition, let's just get qualified, let's just pass the first round... The difference is big, yet, you could see some surprises in the World Cup with low tier teams beating those in pot 1 or 2.

Hehe, yeah my predictions also were totally wrong! While I wasn't to surprised about Canada losing against Panama, I didn't expect the USA to lose against Costa Rica. Costa Rica would have needed a whole ton of more goals to overtake the USA though, I don't think they had much hope that this would happen

I personally am not too strange in this match, even though America has emerged as a strong enough team, but Costa Rica has more experience there. My additional credit goes to Vargas and the Goalkeeper namely Navas who did really well in this match.

Portugal have made it to the World Cup by defeating North Macedonia maybe but I wonder how successful they will be there. I don't think that they will be reaching the finale maybe but let's just see. The Poland - Sweden matchup was really crucial and both of them had a similar chance to advance to the World Cup. But Poland succeeded in it by 2-0. This wasn't a good welcome to Zlatan maybe but it is still good to see him back. As long as Poland have Lewandowski, they will continue to be a decent team too.
