Watching the American qualifications I can say that Brazilians have very, very good results. Out of 17 games, they have won 14 and drawn only 3. Argentina drew with Ecuador yesterday and are even further away from Brazil in the standings. The Brazilians are probably very serious about becoming world champions this year.

Portugal has done its job very well. Pity Ronaldo couldn't score a single goal but Fernandes did a double. But most of all I am amazed that Poland finally managed to beat Sweden. The chances were about equal, but even Zlatan Ibrahimovic couldn't save his team. I thought the Swedes would score at least one goal.

Sweden have been unlucky and Portugal have rightly presented their fans with the gift that the World Cup awaits them.

In the Portugal vs North Macedonia match, Ronaldo did not score, but one of the 2 goals scored by B. Fernandes, Ronaldo became the passer. Ronaldo has to be closely guarded and that is one of the strategies in my opinion. When Ronaldo gets special attention from Macedonian players, other players from Portugal can attack freely so it's not surprising that Ronaldo doesn't score.

As for Ibrahimovic who you mentioned not being able to save his team, football doesn't rely on individuals in my opinion. An Ibrahimovic or any top player will not be able to work alone, let alone the age of the player is no longer young.

The games of yesterday in Europe have gone according to how most of us were expecting them to be,Portugal made a great show yesterday night with B.Fernandes scoring two beautiful goals,the first one was assisted from Cristiano.North Macedonia it was just luck that made them eliminate Italy from the World Cup but unfortunately luck is a lady which is not always by your side so yesterday they couldn't do much against Portugal.

Senegal also guaranteed qualification for the Qatar World Cup. In the first leg, Egypt won at home, by 1-0, and in the second leg, Senegal won, also by 1-0, the penalties were tied, Senegal was happier.

So this World Cup will not have another great player, Mohamed Salah. It's too bad. But congratulations to Senegal.

Did you check the penalty shootout? Watch it if you haven't - I don't understand how this was legal.

Also - Senegal's fans were really disgraceful after the game - throwing bottles and other things at the Egyptians. Shame that such important games are played like this.

It's quite painful for Egypt because Senegal has twice thwarted egypt efforts this year, after destroying Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations, now Senegal managed to stop Egypt from being able to play in the 2022 World Cup in qatar, both teams did have a pretty good performance but sadly Egypt are not in lucky condition this year, but I think senegal win has been marred by unsportsmanlike behavior from the fans and it's really very unfortunate, throughout the match the egyptian players continued to be attacked by the senegal fans with lasers and obviously it irritated the Egyptian players.
In my opinion, Salah penalty miss  was none other than the act of Senegal fans who kept firing lasers at Salah face, causing Salah kick to deviate from the goal.

From what I can see Portugal doesn't seem to have too much trouble controlling the game and North Macedonia can't do much

I watched the Poland-Sweden game last night and it was an enjoyable game. I think Sweden played, but Poland won.

Portugal won the game very comfortably.
I still can't believe how Italy was eliminated.

Hmm on the first sight it looks like easy money, but keep in mind that Panama won at home against the USA and played a draw vs Mexico. Canada had mixed results in their away games: 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss. Now this is the last game and there is nothing at stake anymore, so it's basically a friendly game. Canada might experiment with players/tactics, Panama might try harder for the win.

Costa Rica vs USA is a similar situation, Costa Rica is pretty strong at home and the USA not the best in their away games. Except there is still something at stake here: USA could play for the 1st rank (even though there is no real use for it, but it might be a matter of pride to surpass Canada?) and Costa Rica still has a theoretical chance for the 3rd rank, even though it's unlikely that Mexico will lose vs El Salvador.

My guesses would be
Panama vs Canada: draw @3.0
Costa Rica vs USA: win USA @2.15

Even though Costa Rica are currently in high flying form at the moment and they will have the advantage of playing against USA at their home stadium but the quality of players in the USA team are still clearly much higher than Costa Rica, I think Costa Rica might struggle to find a win against USA and this match will ends up with a draw.

I think Italy also knew how their opponents would play. The difference between Italy vs N Mac and Portugal vs N Mac is that Portugal took their chances.
Playing against a team who are roughly at your level is one thing, but playing against a team who are worse and who will put everyone behind the ball and give you no room to work in the final third is a very different thing, it's a different type of game that needs different abilities, and it's where big teams sometimes come unstuck.

Portugal and Poland deserved to be in World Cup, I wouldn't think a World Cup without Lewandowski and Ronaldo. If Italy beat Macedonia that would be very hard game for Portugal but they were lucky about draw. Macedonia couldn't even shoot against Portugal. You can understand how big that unexpected Macedonia win against Italy, it was like a miracle but it had to end.

This will be a beautiful gift for Cristiano Ronaldo, because this will probably be the last World Cup for him. We will see one of the best players in the world once again in Qatar. And he has kept his promise to the Portuguese supporters, that he will take his country to the highest stage of football. It will be interesting to see how far this national team will talk in Qatar later. We should wait.

Apart from Ronaldo, I think Messi will also play for his last world cup of the year in Qatar. We cannot expect the presence of these two players in the next world cup where both of them are old enough to be relied on on the pitch. It’s true. I think Italy were not prepared for the urgency and directness of North Macedonia's plan. They started the game like a normal game. North Macedonia started the game brightly, taking the fight to the hosts right from the first blow of the whistle. North Macedonia held the game for long and had a plan in mind to execute during the end of the game. They were so eager to make the World Cup. They came agonisingly close to securing their first-ever World Cup spot but it wasn't meant to be. Portugal played hungrily and wanted the game more than Italy.

My money's on France again. They are the champions, they have a squad full of champions and play so well together. Pogba plays better for France than he does United. Add in the likes of kante, Griezmann and Giroud who has been called up and on top of that mbappe who gets better every game. I always favor the German giants but France have got this. In all honesty though I think England has a really good chance, another exceptional talented squad, all comes down to southgates choices, which are quesionable at times. Chances for France are pretty big! As you say, they have a top team with some great players, so they can take this cup for sure! But I would like to see some surprise, it would be great to see some underdog taking World Cup! That would be awesome! After all this is football and anything can happen!

Dont a good game for Cristiano Ronaldo, he miss a big chance before the first goal, and in the assist for the first goal.... horribily pass, but he have a ton of luck and pass trought the legs of the defender.

Anyways its better to have in the World Cup big teams with stars than little teams without any options to win.

Hmm... How many games have you seen with Ronaldo? The pass between the legs of the defender or the passing of the ball in the same place is his routine action. He made a great pass and it was only a matter of technique to realize it. In general, I agree that he did not show an outstanding game, but nevertheless, the result was achieved. I hope he will be in better shape at the World Championship.

For the World Cup, I don't think that France will be reaching the championship. I see Brazil ahead of them already now. I'm saying this considering the statistics of both teams in the qualifiers. France haven't been too impressive to me. But Brazil were way opposite of them. As Germany are not playing like in the old times too, I think that Brazil might benefit from this opportunity in a great way. As long as they keep their current performance, the title is not too far for them.
