Although as Putin the most person make Russia national country by FIFA and UEFA I think have bad punishment giving to Russia because football can't controlling as politic, what did by FIFA and UEFA banned Russia football federation they have change their rule when talking about not place football and politic, maybe have other country make invasion war like United State, Israel but so far FIFA and UEFA keep silent without give any punishment or suspend for other country make war.

The decision was taken because of the attitude of most national football federations. The majority took the attitude of rejecting playing against Russia or playing any game on Russian territory. We cannot forget that although FIFA is an independent body, it is an association that brings together all, or almost all, national football federations around the world.

If all countries refuse to play Russia, what would FIFA do? Let Russia be world champions without playing? It's not a difficult decision. The rules/laws were never created with this situation in mind in mind.

FIFA should stay out of politics but until a certain point not when a country invades a country out of nowhere claiming bullshit like they are going to clean Ukraine from the nazis running the government over there and committing genocide against the Russian minority.It is a fair decision from FIFA following all the international community by condemning Russia out of their competitions and I think for Poland they need to find a new solution but if they can't,then it is normal for them to get 3-0 table result because it is not Poland fault that Russia started an invasion out of nowhere.

Russia is in the wrong here and what they did was a crime against humanity and I hate Putin as much as the next person. However if Fifa really wants to stay out of politics, then just like how they are removing Russia in flags and so forth, they should also remove Qatar from contention to be the world cup place as well considering they are ruining the world to begin with.

It is really not fair to see them being angry over what's going on in Ukraine and then ignore everything else that doesn't bother them personally. There are deaths and wars all around the world constantly and Fifa rarely ever does anything. Russia is wrong, it is good what they did to Russia and I support it, but do it to other bad nations as well.

I especially wonder what will happen once Putin withdraws his troops and the war ends. How will FIFA and UEFA solve that? The sanctions that have been imposed, would they all be removed again? There are a lot of sanctions. By the way, Russia has no significant role in the World Cup, maybe they could survive the group stage with luck, but then it really ends. No one will miss Russia at the World Cup, if they qualify at all. At the moment there is also no team that wants to play against Russia.

I think their decision is final and there is not going to be any way to change it, while some people believe that FIFA should stay away from politics, and I think this should be the case for any sport federation, the truth is that if their members desire to take a side in the political arena then they are going to be forced to do so as well.

And in the current climate the easiest decision for FIFA to take was to take the side which is against Russia, as in the eyes of many people the war seems unjustified, so FIFA did not really had too much of a choice to begin with but to implement those sanctions.

Due to the elimination of Russia from the competition, Poland got more vacations and an advantage over the competition, Sweden and the Czech Republic.
Italy and Portugal should be big favorites in their first home matches and then in a match between them decide who goes to the World Cup.
In the first group because of the war and everything, I support Ukraine, but the question is what condition the players are in and how ready they are for the matches, and whether they will play at all.

I think at this stage it’s fair to say that we all are expecting wins for Italy and Portugal, but I strongly feel that both the teams can score 2 goals, but key here is to defend well too otherwise they could end up hurting their qualification chances.

Lastly anyone feeling brave enough to wager against these two favourites as I’m sure that the odds will be very high, though so far I haven’t seen anyone keen to wager against them so curious to see if anyone here is planning on doing it.

Even though he is old, his game is not inferior to that of young players, I think it is necessary in the football squad to have senior figures to give mentality and enthusiasm to young players. although it is no longer the main choice for coaches to reduce the figure of Ibrahimovic.

I think Ericsson is back in good health and he has also played in the English league although not in a great team at least he has enough playing time to train and the skills he has.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine has now had a major impact on Russian football in several events.including one of the world cup play-offs.even a Russian club was removed from European competition this season, what Putin did was only a political matter but today instead it is associated with football which makes the Russian national team unable to play the play-off which will start in a few days.of course this is very unfortunate by many parties with the sanctions received by Russia which make it certain to miss the Qatar world cup next November

Very interesting predictions, I think this can be a winning ticket! Italy and Portugal should win, both are playing at home against weaker opponents! N. Makedonia has almost no chance in this match, while the Turks are a better team, but I believe that Portugal is better, at least from what I saw!

Turkey's soccer quality recently going down, and they are having no chance against classy Portugal which is playing at home and having some most skilled players in their squad even we all know Turkey beats Portugal in their last match, but now things are completely different and Portugal is having big challenge for qualifying into Mega Event of this year which is still not clear because in next match most chances they are going to face Italy which is also having some great history and currently having some good players even they were out of last FIFA Soccer World Cup and now doing their best for this year's event which is going to play in Qatar.

Portugal will not have too much trouble with this match. The big problem lies in the next round, because then Italy might wait if they beat North Macedonia, which I assume. It is a pity that either Italy or Portugal will not go to the World Cup. Italy is of course better, but Portugal is the reigning European Champion anyway / winner of the Nations League.
