Hey, I gamble for fun, though it does sometimes have that aspect of being influenced by money, most of my sessions were just for fun. Back then when I and my friends were playing poker together, the thrill of knowing who's card is who and bluffing and what not was quite enjoyable, and it's what honestly made me start going online gambling (sometimes). Maybe it's very common as I have the same issue, when I'm in the winning side I tend to keep pushing for more and trying if luck is really
behind me, allowing me to think that I can win really decent.

The bad thing, when the losing streak start to show up and sucking those early wins, instead of stopping I also try to make my bets higher and see if I'll be able to hit that lucky win and recover everything back.

Human emotions are so complex and are our biggest enemy when gambling sometimes. When we are losing heavily then our brain will tell us that we just need one more bet to win everything bet, which is wrong of course. Our emotions will trick the brain to not evaluate risks correctly anymore. That is why we need to try and be a responsible and reasonable gambler. Like you said already, greed is a huge factor we need to control in our decisions making. A personal adviser would be nice for gambling, but can we afford him? He won't be cheap.

I do not think many gamblers can hire a personal adviser because they need to spend more money to do that. Besides that, if the gambler is stubborn, he will not listen to that personal adviser and fire them up. In this way, we need always to control the money and not use more money to gamble. True, however the problem is that once a person becomes addicted to gambling or anything else the way they think is going to be affected by their addiction, instead of seeing themselves as the guilty party and see what they can do to improve the situation with their family they are going to try to victimize themselves and think it is their family the ones that are in the wrong, when this obviously cannot be the case and will most likely take refuge in the activity they are addicted making their problem even worse.

You are right. It should be not easy. But if you have a strong intention and always try to change yourself, then you will succeed to control it. Mastering to control your emotion/desire won't succeed in a day or even in a week, sometimes it should take months or even years. However, if you keep your efforts and intention, finally it should be successful someday.
