Big patch hit on Dota2 last night and we have 7.39 officially online! I will jump later on in a game to see how really the game changed and I will try Phantom Lancer to see if this hero is decent to play after 2 years... . Meanwhile , it has become a tradition for Valve to release patches during DreamLeague season and we can see the effect on game between Aurora and BetBoom where Aurora seems to struggle a bit after having no defeats during Groupstage 1

Just started watching this match about 10 minutes ago and you can see the effects of the patch job already done from Valve.
To not take away from the group 2 stages of the DreamLeague season 26 matches going on, but we can not forget about the other major happening in esports in progress right now.

The semis are already set with MongolZ vs. Mouz and Vitality vs. Falcons on the other side of the bracket. Both matches should be straightforward, but we'll see if Vitality can extend the win streak or Falcons can step up today.

As for my bets, i'll probably parlay both favorites to win the series since the moneylines are hovering around 1.35 - 1.40 odds.

Group stage 1 for the Dreamleague season 26 is now done, we're now moving to the group stage 2 and this will happen for a week. And so, this is the part of the tournament that's making it longer. This DreamLeague has been really unpredictable lately. I thought Talon would win against Parivision in their best of three series in GT2, but they got reverse swept. Same with Nigma Galaxy I thought YakultBros would win. And Aurora Gaming lost to BetBoom last day, but that one was I thinl is okay. But Talon winning Game 1 against Parivision was I considered an upset, right? Their odds of winning were really low.

Right now, I'm watching GG vs. Talon and Talon won Game 1 again. I just hope it doesn’t end up like their match against Parivision where the other team made reverse swept.
Hopefully GG doesn’t come back this time. Even if GG wins Game 2 as long as Talon takes Game 3, it’s all good.

I think you are more experienced in these patches and their affects on the dota2 team gameplay than I am.

Just started watching Yakult Brothers vs Parivision and it is looking good for the Bros.

For the IEM Dallas Grand Finals it was looking like MOUZ are the side who have a more believable performance in this tournament. Since Vitality seemed to limp across the finish line against the Falcons.
I predict another MOUZ win against the champions of the last major tournament in CS2.

Yeah, possible. Every time there's a patch, a good team falls because they cannot adopt it quickly. Usually, when Valve drops a patch during these important tournaments, they're really falling just like what happens with GG and Nigma Galaxy. But it's not an excuse to lose because everyone is in fair adoption of the new patches dropped by Gaben and so, if patches on the actual tournament. They've got lesser time to test it but whoever adopts more quickly, they'll take the advantage of it and sees the better upgrades of items and heroes and as well as the nerfs.

Anyone keeping an eye on the League of Legends EWC 2025?

The current LCQ is shaping up to be a solid indicator of what kind of teams we might see perform well at EWC 2025. T1 already secured their slot as the reigning champs last year, and with LCK ongoing, I’m almost certain the two remaining EWC spots from LCK will go to Gen.G and HLE (Both giants on LCK and even performing good right now). Both teams are outperforming the rest of the field right now and T1 as being 3rd.

The potential HLE vs. T1 matchup later on is going to be interesting and hype (because of zeus). Both teams show a lot of diversity in champ pools, and IMO, they’re pretty evenly matched when it comes to team coordination and game sense. T1’s been looking more consistent lately, though, you might consider T1 since they have good odds right now. (But if they perform average later on to their major threat HLE, I'm sure that they will all out in EWC)
 
Also, keep an eye on LPL playoffs—they could give us a good anaylsis on what team might perform well at EWC 2025.

That's right, one change of a hero's skill or base stats really impacts these games based on how the patch went. If a considered weak hero becomes part of the patch and it's a buff, expect that it will mostly be played not just in the pubs but also in the tournaments.

Nigma Galaxy and Team Liquid have already been eliminated as of now, and PARIVISION if I'm not mistaken has secured upper bracket slot for the playoffs.
I'm really surprised by what Talon is doing in DreamLeague Season 26. They're the underdogs here, right? Most of the odds were in favor of their opponents in Groupstage 2.

Talon only lost to Aurora Gaming and PARIVISION in Groupstage 2, both with score of 2-1 they haven’t swept any series. PARIVISION, on the other hand hasn’t lost a series in Groupstage 2 though maybe that could change today against Gaimin Gladiators? What do you think?

Me too, I have to check what flipster is and found out it was an exchange and I am not really familiar with that and that's why we still call them Talon.

Not yet, they're in the tiebreaker against BetBoom. If they win then they secure the upper bracket and they will be against Parivision. But if they lose then they go to the lower bracket.

This isnt really an important tiebreaker though. GG - Aurora will play a tiebreaker that will actually determine the fate of either Aurora or Nigma on the next Esports World Cup. So GG is already on the invited list for the next Esports World Cup and if GG win tomorrow then GG will be #8 on EPT Leaderboard which means #9 Nigma would take the last spot for the Esports World Cup

If Aurora wins then naturally Aurora will take the last spot to Esports World Cup though so Im really excited with this game
