And I think going down in Super Flyweight division will be a good start for Donaire before he retires soon.

And a wise thing to do to prevent any heavy damage as he's not getting younger in the first place.

I'm sure he can still fight and even won on other Bantamweights but he should accept the fact that the time for him is now nearing and settling at a much lower weight can give more chances of winning while getting a good paycheck. With his fame and status, there might be a chance that he will always get 60/40 purse split for any of his fights on this division while waiting for a chance for a title match.

Donaire still has it that's why he wants to continue fighting. It's just that Inoue is really on the other level and no one from the bantamweight can defeat this guy, not even the other Bantamweight Champion Paul Butler which will soon facing each other for the undisputed champion. I even think that Casimero won't even stand a chance against Inoue. He is just a hype and no offense for him and to his fans here.

A wise thing to do indeed considering that his numbers are growing day by day and he won't able to withstand stronger punches and stronger opponents in the upper divisions like in the bantamweight. Sure, he does have a chance to defeat some boxers if he will stay at the bantamweight, and no doubt that he can defeat Butler in the process but then again he'll face Inoue after that fact. We already know what would likely happen if these two will face again.

It's just my opinion guys, sometimes I over exaggerate statements and sometimes I admit my wrong understanding from those statements.

Moving on.

Nonito's career is not over, but if I would suggest, I think he should retire already.
Majority of us want him to retire already but I guess that we're not going to see it happen anytime soon.
Well, I don't know, but I think that Nonito still has a lot of cartridges left to burn, I know that now he is in a situation where they don't want him anymore, but it's normal for all boxers, for me it still doesn't help him to retire and if he's going to do it, he'll have to prepare a good round of fights where he won them all, it is better to go out through the 'big door and have a good memory of him, he is not a good boxer, only that he lacks a bit of alignment, it should be noted that now the boxers demand themselves a little more, maybe since he is from the old school he thinks that with what he knows he can leave everything that way, but every day he has to prepare with more intensity.
Many do agree for having that thought that he should really give himself a rest and just retire for good and focus on things like helping the young calibers.

We know that there's still some power left from him and he doesn't want to let it go. Well, he can proceed as much as he can and we'll support him. It is that many thinks that it's best for him to give himself a break.

I guess there is no need for Donaire to do some cherry picking in the said division because I bet he can manage just fine even the champions in that division, he chose to fight in super-flyweight next so that means that he is confident enough that he can defeat those guys. He really knew that he cannot defeat the current Inoue now, so much better to do some cleaning in the lower weight class for now.
I just hope that he have learned the lesson that being overconfident is also dangerous. But yes, despite that he's aware of who can he beat and win.

It's better for him to have that emotion set at the normal setting so that it won't overwhelm him when he's on another match whether it will be from a lower division fighter or of the same.

Who? Donaire? I don't really think that he have that kind of attitude where goes being overconfident to his foe because of his capabilities, we know Donaire's attitude towards Inoue though but none of it shouts that he's overconfident.

Even us didn't really expected that Inoue will evolve that much because we think that they will still have a long 12-round fight where there will be a long blow-by-blow punches all the way to the 12th round. But Inoue finished Donaire in just 2 rounds with a stoppage.

I had never seen Donaire being overconfident.  As far as I know, he trained really hard in every fight.  He even keeps on training even without scheduled fights just to keep his shape.  The one thing I know is  that Donaire has a tendency to fall in love with the idea of one punch KO.  So instead of delivering combinations he opt to do a one punch KO strategy.

Yes but that doesn't mean that Donaire is already overconfident just like what jossiel said above, he's aiming for a one punch KO because he can make that happen instead of taking so much time digging deep punches in his opponents. I understand him because why would you wait and drag the fight longer and risk of depleting your stamina if you can finish the fight much earlier and you have what it takes to make it happen. Makes sense, right?

We could have seen the result between Inoue and Casimero if their fights weren't canceled due to the pandemics.  I am also curious about the result if ever Casimero and Inoue decided to continue their canceled fight way back years ago.  There is a lot of hype around Casimero but I can say, he is a tough fighter, so I am wondering if Casimero's toughness can withstand Inoue's devastating body blows.  Or Inoue can have an early knockout win against Casimero or vice versa.

I am also curious about what may happen during their fight, pretty much that fight will trigger sales that we didn't expect and many people are pretty much curious about the result, I don't want to really push on with John Riel Casimero but in that short of a time that Naoya Inoue has proven that he upped his game in a short time against Nonito Donaire, this is looking pretty much bad for Casimero, but I am still looking forward to their fight,

Result of the fight for

Teofimo Lopez VS Pedro Campa ROUND 7 KO/TKO - Teofimo Lopez win,

I don't really want to say that this fight is fixed but after seeing that fight pretty much it was a one-sided match, Tiofimo Lopez Speed was really creating that volume of punches, and he is really moving and punching at the same time, it was really meant for Teofimo Lopez to get this win, it was like Pedro Campa was set up for this fight, cherry picking him to be eaten by Teofimo Lopez, and on round 7 because Campa is taken so much punch to the face from Lopez the referee had stopped the fight and Lopez have won this fight via KO/TKO,

It's far from being fixed Lopez is just being the take-over guy he's fast powerful and too talented for Campa, Campa is doing his best but he's not in Lopez's league let's give Teofimo the praise that he deserves, we have just seen the old Lopez form and style I think he can beat Josh Taylor or anyone in that division and he can give Tank Davis a run for his money the way Lopez fight, Lopez has matured as a boxer with this fight.

It's more of a cherry-pick fight for Teo Lopez, so that he will look great and bring back his confidence after his defeat to Kambosos. And you can see in Campa's record that all of his opponent is not even close to what Teo have been beaten. So this is like a mismatch, a A-level class fighter against lower tier. For Campa's side, this might be his biggest paycheck in US dollar so even if he losses this fight, still a big privilege for him to fight in US soil.

Obviously, Teo was not even hurt in the game, Campa was just too slow for him as even though Teo's defense is still poor but he was not able to take advantage on that. I predicted a KO but on the round 1-3, so I still lost my bet, I'm just right that Teo will win by KO.

Well both sides obviously got what they wanted on that match-up even if the whole bout is Campa just running around trying to evade Lopez's aggression. Put me in the ring with a fighter more determined and hungrier than I am and I'd still play ball if the price is right. That's what happened here obviously and ain't nothing wrong with that. Both fighters still gave their best on that bout and that's what matters.

For Teo Lopez, hopefully he gets a rematch against Kambosos. That's a close fight between the two of them and obviously shows that Teo has something in him to defeat the Australian boxer either through decision or through a knockout.

Kambosos already lost all of his belts, so there's no reason either Lopez or Kambosos need a rematch since they're didn't get anything and only risking their good record. It's too soon for the rematch, I think if Lopez is already start collecting a belt and Kambosos move up to light welterweight division, the rematch would happen on the new division. Of course it will be on the same hype since Kambosos will become a challenger again.

Well I am just saying some fight was fixed because I was supporting Campa, and I am upset about the poster, but as I watch the fight it was not really a fixed fight it looks real enough for me, Teofimo Lopez is quite a shocker, in devastating Pedro Campa you can see the distance of their skills and performance that Teofimo is on another level, and speed is really superb Well, for Gervonta Tank Davis, I think I can still put my money on Davis,

Well, it is totally fixed because they cherry-picked his fight, but in challenging Gervonta Tank Davis I can not agree if Teofimo Lopez can win against Davis, and even Ryan Garcia, in actuality Pedro Campa is a hard-hitting fighter, but he is slower than Lopez, Teofimo really is seeing through his moves and can react instantly, but for me, Ryan Garcia is faster than Lopez and also Gervonta Davis aswell, those two in my opinion is in another level,

Yeah, unless Kambosos won his match against Haney in their rematch, but I doubt that Lopez will go down to 135 lbs to challenge Kambosos again. He said that he making 135 lbs is killing him, as he has been in that division for 9 years. So for the rematch to happen Kambosos will have to move up to 140 lbs as well. But he has his hands full on the Haney rematch and we don't know what will be his plans if he lost in the second fight. Probably move up, so we shall see.

That would be a blockbuster fight once again because as we saw Lopez with his last Saturday, he is back again and can really compete at his best or even more strong this time. They became rivals in this era, hope they will gonna fight again soon because fans are loving to see it. It's not really a bad idea for them to see each other again in that division since they already went through a number of fights in the lower divisions, and their body will soon adapt to fight in the light welterweight division.

I guess we have our own definition of fixed fight, because for me, it is a fight that is already predetermined as who will win, I mean the other side will have to take a dive. And there are supposedly match fixing in boxing but in the 50's-60's that the mafia or mob may have something to do with it, fight like the Ali vs Liston fight. Many analyst says it's fixed and the mob is behind it but it was never proven. Or the Mike Tyson vs Bruce Sheldon, this fight was fixed to me, the moment Tyson landed that shot, it was over in the first round, the way Bruce goes down to the canvass and then gets up and wobbly, its kind of funny.

As compare to this fight, wherein it was cherry pick and obvious mismatch as the level is very different but Campa tried his best, didn't do a dive in the first round but keep hanging on.

I'm okay with Kambosos vs Lopez rematch, no belts but these two gave a very entertaining fight, so we can expect that many fans will watch this and they'll be able to sell a good PPV numbers. Teo is trying to be a a champion in the new division, but he has not proven anything yet since the last fight was obviously a cherry picked one.

They have to do it in the future, the fight is close Teofimo believes he won the fight and there's no love lost between the two fighters, if Lopez did not opt to go up we could have a trilogy in the making, I doubt if Teofimo will go down he seems to be very comfortable in the 140 lbs, its Kambosos who need to go up to face Lopez and if he's interested to make money he can do that if Teofimo Lopez is a champion, its always good to see two great fighters where there is title at stake.

Nonito's career is not over, but if I would suggest, I think he should retire already.

The way you say that you think Nonito Donaire should retire simply shows that you think his career is over.  I think let's just watch from the sideline the outcome if ever Nonito decided to move to lighter weight.  I know he still has that KO punch but then I hope he still retains 90% of his speed.  I think he has an advantage in the lower-weight division since I believe he can withstand punches in that division more than his current.

Yeah I think he's still can compete with the other boxers, Inoue is too much for him since Inoue currently is the top 1 pound for pound professional boxing, he even beat Usyk, Crawford, Spence, and Canelo. If Donaire will lower his weight, then he and Jerwin Ancajas will start collecting a belt for their country. If Ancajas is challenging Martinez, then Donaire could challenge Joshua Franco.

Many boxers at same age will decide to retire. Donaire at 39 with 49 fights in his pro career, its a lot. He had a good run no doubt about that. time has passed.

At certain age, if you yourself will know its time. Its not like other career that doesn't need agility of your youth.  Your skills doesn't depend on how fast you chop the spices but how good the taste of the recipe.

Boxing also comes with great danger. It is not like basketball that if you are slow because of your age, you can still play and suffer no consequences. Boxing is different. He can get knocked out and that could spell disaster for his health. Many boxers have lingering injuries because they choose to fight even if their body cannot already.

He is already aging but he has proven a lot in his career already. It is not that he is not competitive anymore, but he should also consider his life after boxing. It is better for him to retire now and enjoy a healthy life than risk it in the ring.
