But still it is a WBC belt fight. It cant be not interesting. Who cares if it is a cherry-picked fight or not, both fighters will get this fight in their record and huge money rewards. Besides, this is a heavyweight fight; a fight where a single punch can be a game changer. Anyway, strange that no one is interested in that fight, and to see a daily discussion of a boxer against youtuber fights (Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo, or Logan vs anyone).

I'm interested with this fight because when Fury fights, the fight is very exciting to watch. So both fighters are lucky and probably getting a million each in their fight? or maybe 60/40 in favor of Prograis.

Nevertheless, it was good news that he got his money and I never heard of this promotional company before, and maybe they have deep pocket (in the beginning), to bid for a good price so that they can cover. But the question is, did the fight cover the expenses or at least did they get it back? That is a huge money for this kind of fight. No disrespect to both, but they have hit the lottery when MarvNation outbid their promotions, doubled what they can offer.

There are rumors roaming around the boxing industry that Lomachenco's boxing style would render Devin Haney's defensive style useless.  I could have put the link to the said rumor but somehow I can't find it anymore.  Either way, I am very interested in whether this rumor is true or not so I hope the negotiation between Devin Haney's camp and Vasily Lomachenco's will have a positive result.

I haven't seen the link as well but I will speculate that it has something to do with Loma's amazing footwork and angles, and if Haney wanted to win then he could come up as the aggressor because he is big and tall and has the reach advantage.

On the other hand, there are boxing analyst who says that Loma's performance against Ortiz is not as we have expect of him.

And that Haney is going to defeat him if he shows that version if the two fight next year.

Both camps will continue to review their opponents fighting strategy, though with what you mentioned, I agree that Loma's last performance is not the same old Loma that we use to know, but on my own opinion, I can say that Loma is a skillfull fighter who can adjust with the way his opponents try to bring the fight, he will observe and will come up with startegy.

We might see the best of him again when facing the title holder, a good matchup that we will expect to happen next year.

There are many factors that will affect a boxer's performance.  I believe it is one or some of these reasons:


Ring rust - Lomachenco being idle to long can affect his first fight performance after a long vacation
Opponent boxing style - no matter how good or great the boxer is, there is always someone who can counter it regardless if  the opponent is popular or not, undefeated or full of defeats.
Opponent size advantage and reach advantage - it greatly affects how a boxer approaches his opponent, in this case, Jamaine has a 9 cm. reach advantage, which is huge especially when the boxer knows how to use this advantage.  So it is a great feat that Lomachenco won the fight despite his disadvantages.
Mind condition - I agree that the war might take some toll on Loma's mind condition, I think he needs more rest to remove the after-war effect.
Boxer's age -  this might be debatable but I think it is one of the factor too for a boxer for a diminishing great ring performance. (though I think Loma is still in his prime)

I never doubt Loma's training session, his camp is great on doing that.

Right, at least in cherry picking your opponents, there are chances that he might hit you with what we call Hail Mary punch and knock you out. As compare to like this exhibitions fight, there is no excitement because it's going to be just an exhibition and that's why there are boxing fans who doesn't want to watch it.

I do agree that Taylor's left over will fight against each other because of the 3 belts that he has vacated. Or maybe he has plans to move to 147 lbs as well in the future, so 140 lbs is very much open and competitive if that happen.

And as we can see, Prograis has gotten a belt already, but Taylor beat him easily.

For MarvNation, although Prograis get the money already, this could be a lesson for them to put the money in the bank after the fight before the boxer try to cash in that paycheck. And it's good the Regis has clear the issues as well so that MarvNation's name is also being cleared.

Just a preview for me that Loma is back his performance is not that much impacting but giving him enough time to prepare, he can excel as he knows how to adjust very well with any types of opponents that he may have, it's just unusual to most fans who expect to see more from Loma after that long absence inside the ring.

This is another fight, in another level because they are both great fighters and you are right, Loma might be a slight underdog here but he has a decent chance of beating an undated Haney.   I think it is pretty much obvious for many here that Tyson Fury will surely win this fight, well Tyson Fury is picking fights now and easy money is his target, and yes Chisora is not a threat to Fury anymore, and the fight just go in Fury's advantage, and on the 10th round he might be so bored with the fight he decided to end it there, but if you want to watch a great fight there are many great fights under that event, but I didn't really take a bet, while the Fury VS Chisora fight has a very one-sided odds many are not really convinced about Dereck Chisora at all,

Haha, it is indeed disappointing but the fight somehow sent a message that Casimero is serious on taking the belt in this division.  I give credit to Casimero for showing us that he still has that power to make his opponent give up and to Akaho for best actor.

At the end of the day, it is respect for each boxer that counts.  Let us leave this issue to the boxing officials, I heard that there is a huge chance of granting the win to Casimero if ever they decided to change the announced result.

well, the technology doesn't lie. they can always review the recordings at all angles and see if Akaho was indeed telling the truth of being hurt or who's fault it was. this is the advantage of recordings, they can enlarge that angle and see what really happened. they should at least be fair on validating the results of this fight. we are seeing that casimero is now serious in going up with the weight division. so  let's see if there will be new updates in the coming days. or they will just be mum about the decision.

As all of us expected, Tyson Fury won while toying Chisora.  Tyson Fury is brutal, he can end the fight early to spare Chisora of more beatings, but instead he prolonged the suffering of Chisora to 10th round.  I don't think it is for the audience as other observant stated.
