One year is too long  to look for a potential opponent. Maybe right now they are already looking at the list as to who is the best opponent for him. There are some good names in this division and then perhaps some that he can fight as a stepping stone. It's up to MP on how they are going to guide Mark career in this division, as for sure they want him to be a champion, but it could take careful matchmaking.

Currently, Mark Magsayo seems to be the primary boxer under MP, providing them with the opportunity to secure him good fights.

I don't quite comprehend why Casimero left MP. From my perspective, he was getting quality fights under MP, but after leaving, he seemed to struggle in securing high-caliber opponents, resulting in a drop in his ranking.

Magsayo appears to have a promising future with MP, as long as he continues to develop himself, he'll be able to come back as a champion.

Having that kind of exposure will really help him to move forward. Having him as the face of MP's promotions might lead him to negotiations with ranking fighters, as we know what happened this year when legends meet each other, with a kind of opportunity. If connections can be established and with the right number of offers, they can quickly give time to sit and discuss the possibilities.

As for now, let us give Magsayo that earned time to celebrate after winning his debut and wait for what will be the next scheduled fight for him.

Yes, I think MP under Sean Gibbons is one of the most underrated boxing promotions. And Filipino boxers should all be under this promotion, after all the man behind this is their legendary fighter in Manny Pacman Pacquiao.

Usually the first reason why fighters quit is about money. I'm not saying that Casimero is greedy, but maybe he thinks that he was slighted with Sean Gibbons and maybe blaming him for his failed attempt to defend his belt against Butler as Casimero has issues with that. Anyhow, both parties have move on and we can say that Casimero's future is not that good.

Magsayo appears to have a promising future with MP, as long as he continues to develop himself, he'll be able to come back as a champion.

That should be the goal of MP and Magsayo, to become champion again although it might be difficult as he is moving up in weight.

When I first heard about MP Promotions, I was positive that the wealthy Pacquiao would host numerous championship matches in his home nation. Today it is underrated because I cannot remember a time Manny Pacquiao and his promotion made a boxing event in the USA. Anyhow, Manny Pacman has a good partnership with PBC so he can just offer his boxers to the same promoter. Pacquiao has the power to send boxers to the USA, he can look for more talents and develop them. There are less Filipino boxers today in the USA after the retirement of Pacquiao. And Marlon Tapales, the only world champion is questionable to prevail over Inoue.

I think he had many fights in the US already under the name MP, as per wiki, Manny established it in 2015. So it has been in existence for the last 8 years or so and probably he himself has fighting under his own banner? But now he is retired and fully focus on helping his fellow Pinoy's reach their pinnacle in boxing. And it's good that he is returning back the favor. And if I'm not mistaken, his old nemesis, Miguel Cotto has also a boxing promotional company. So I guess it's normal for former boxers to put one up after their career is over.

And in this case, it was Sean Gibbons who's responsible for this Filipino boxers. He is the one orchestrating everything behind and for me, as per my observation, he did a good job. Maybe it was just a fall out between him and Casimero.

As I expected that Devin Haney would be able to win the fight and take the WBC Super Lightweight title from the hands of Regis Prograis, Haney won by unanimous decision from the referee decision 120-107, 120-107, and 120-107.
This is big achievement for Devin Haney because he managed to maintain the undefeated record he had so far and at the same time managed to add the WBC Super Lightweight title to the record of titles he has managed to control.
Watching their fight from the start, it was clear that Devin Haney dominated and Regis Prograis received lot of blows and even fell by knockdown in round four.
This is truly great fight.
congratulations for the win Devin Haney.

It was a great fight for Devin Haney he really dominated the fight his faints were superb against Regis Prograis you can see that Prograis was always reacting to Devin Haney's faints really something his speed and rhythm he really knew what he was doing, and for sure this is a big win for Devin Haney and I feel sad for Regis Prograis and for me, it is really not for Prograis to fight Devin Haney now but for sure he is not really ready for the Devin Haney fight and it is pretty much early for him to fight him,

This event was also great and the only fight card that is a title fight and the victor will get the WBC World Flyweight Title this fight was in this event the event Morrell Jr. vs. Agbeko so let me make a breakdown of the event

The Morrell VS Agbeko fight is also an interesting fight and we can surely see it on the next day, also Julio Cesar Martinez VS Angelino Cordova is an interesting fight as well for me both of these fights is worth watching as we don't have any main fight to look forward for now, I was surprised to see that the Devin Haney VS Regis Prograis is really that one-sided and it was really sad for Regis but that is how boxing works,

Something that Casimer might be missing, promotion is important to grow your career and without it your connection to other camps is limited, unlike with someone who already have a name on the table, they can always negotiate and try to sit things up and make it happened, I hope Casimero will change his direction back to MP's camp or if a possible talk to take place to negotiate and make things possible for Pinoy fans after moving up to the new division, which is nothing is happening from his career.

So after the back-and-forth exchange of words on X between Devin Haney and Tank Davis which they deleted already, Eddie Hearn tried to make his move by wanting to discuss the possible big fight. Tank posted it earlier thinking he was making fun of Matchroom and Devin Haney. He then deleted it, he was probably advised later on that his tweet means he is ducking again by being unwilling to talk to Eddie who is Haney's promoter.

Good fights coming up this weekend. The best events are from Matchroom and PBC.

On DAZN, an IBF-WBO unification duel between both undefeated champions Bam Rodriguez and Sunny Edwards. The main undercard will be a WBA eliminator where former unified champion Morudjon Akhmadaliev tries to win for a chance to become the mandatory of the Inoue-Tapales undisputed fight later this month.

On Showtime, an explosive battle between two heavy-handed contenders. David Morrell defends his minor belt against Sena Agbeko. Morrell was supposed to be the one fighting David Benavidez until the latter backed out preferring an easier opponent. Hopefully, the winner should be declared mandatory to Canelo's WBA belt. The main undercard is a WBA eliminator to determine the mandatory for the WBA champion through e-mail, Tank Davis. Cheesy

Yeah, that's right. With MP, he is a legend in boxing, if a boxer signs under their promotion, they'll be able to find great opportunity as long as they have a talent. If Magsayo didn't sign with MP, he wouldn't have a championship fights, or would fight the big names in boxing.  This is the opportunity of the Fililipino boxers to work hard on their skills as they already have this promotion that could help them fulfill their dreams.

As per record, here's the champions that MP promotion has produced. (so far) https://boxrec.com/wiki/index.php/MP_Promotions

^^ I seems that the list is not updated, Casimero bolted out of MP already, he is working under a Japanese promotion, Treasure Boxing Promotion. It started with the Akaho fight that ended in controversial fashion. But I do agree that they have produce the Filipino champ, Casimero.

As far as the Haney's and the side of Tank Davis, they are still at it and the social media "fight" is still on.

Now Bill Haney responded to Leonard Ellerbe about the 50k PPV that supposedly the numbers on Haney vs Prograis.

I'll be interested as well to see Akhmadaliev in the ring again after that upset win by Tapales. He said in this interview that he is coming to get his belt back and his fight with Kevin Gonzalez is for the WBA title eliminator.

Seems though that he has mentally recovered from his lost and so this is going to be a good fight.

Although the criticism about him is that he should be changing coach after that lost to Tapales.

But let's see, I do hope that he is still has the fire inside of him to claim that belt back and then fight the Monster next.

Yes, I think MP under Sean Gibbons is one of the most underrated boxing promotions. And Filipino boxers should all be under this promotion, after all the man behind this is their legendary fighter in Manny Pacman Pacquiao.

Quote
Rodel Mayol - WBC World Light Flyweight Champion (November 2009-June 2010; 1 defense)
Jerwin Ancajas - IBF World Super Flyweight Champion (September 2016-present; 9 defenses)
John Riel Casimero - WBO World Bantamweight Champion (November 2019-present; 2 defenses)
Rene Mark Cuarto - IBF World Minimumweight Champion (February 2021-present; 0 defenses)
Mark Magsayo - WBC World Featherweight Champion (January 2022-present; 0 defenses)

Yes, and most likely Manny Pacquiao put up his own promotional company to help his countryman to become champion and he has accomplished that already. Those are some familiar names in their stable and think about it, if it grows then we might see more Filipinos becoming champion and then they can go back to the old glory wherein at least 4 or 5 reigning champions are all from the Philippines.

Right now though, I'm not sure if there is one champion, last time I heard it was Jerusalem, but he already lost the belt (correct me if I'm wrong).

So hopefully, Magsayo or Ancajas will bring the championship back to the Philippines again and win belts.

Cheesy

Demetrius Andrade was a champion in multiple weight classes and undefeated in 32 fights. He might not have had the best opponents but he's still more proven than Morrell. To me it seems like a no-brainer to choose the more recognizable and experienced Andrade over Morrell. If Benavidez-Andrade only got 60k buys, Benavidez against Morrell would have done even worse. Sena Agbeko is a mediocre club fighter, not really the kind of competition which merits an opportunity against Canelo. The same is true for the Colbert-Valenzula fight. Neither of them should be next in line for Tank, although considering the level of most of his opponents, he might just go in that direction in order to avoid Haney.

I am interested to see this too later.
Akhmadaliev might not even get that chance to take it from Tapales. My first scenario is if Inoue wins he will climb the ladder one more time just like what he did in the Bantamweight division. There's no need to defend all four titles, he got what he wanted and then he will leave them.
Second scenario, rumors say that Inoue will stay in the Super Bantamweight for some time so Akhmadaliev might also get a chance to battle the Monster. He must first see how Inoue will perform because it will definitely change his strategy if that happens.
Third scenario, Tapales wins and because he is holding all four belts, he could just deny Akhmadaliev, I mean he can pick his own fight and defend it against another boxer from another organization first. That's possible, right?

But, it's better if Akhmadaliev can stay at the high ranks so those belts are within his reach. He will have his chance again, there's no doubt about that. If he shows a dominating fight then he will probably be the next in line.

Yes, that is the purpose of that promotional company, to help Filipino boxers and have connections with big promoters in the United States.

MP Promotions has been successful in promoting Magsayo, Ancajas and the latest was Marlon Tapales. If not for MP Promotions, Tapales might not be a world champion and he may not be in this situation where he can be a unified champion in the 122-pound division.

Who knows that Manny Pacquaio's son might be the next champion under MPP, Eman Pacquaio is quite serious on his boxing career and he is also a heavy-handed like his father. Recently he won via KO in the first round, his second fight on the pro level as his first fight was a draw.

They have Ancajas too? I thought he has been promoted by other company, but good to know that. Filipino boxers are known to be hard working in their training, I mean they have to because they don't have a lot of opportunity to make it to the top, and with this MP promotion, it's great opportunity for them, and hopefully this MP promotion will grow that it will be able to compete with the big promotions like Top Rank and other popular companies.

Who knows that Manny Pacquaio's son might be the next champion under MPP, Eman Pacquaio is quite serious on his boxing career and he is also a heavy-handed like his father. Recently he won via KO in the first round, his second fight on the pro level as his first fight was a draw.

When is his son going to be pro? I thought you're just kidding when you say it's his son because he wasn't popular by his name Eman, I known him as Jimuel, but I did some research and had verified it's the same peson.

Jimuel and Eman are two different persons kabayan. Eman Bacusa Pacquaio is Pacman's son with another woman, not Jinkee.

BTW, here is a clip on the fight, hope you like it.

We shouldn't create any room for underestimating fighters, who knows, we can never be so sure about a fighter possibilities and strength. There are more tougher ways to comprehend fights and I will thoroughly observed the basic strength and weaknesses of these fighters. Akhmadaliev is a top fighter, he can be one of the underrated fighter but he do actually surprises everyone months back when he won his belt and now he loses it again to a more tougher opponent, he assured his supporters who always chant victory songs and cheered him up during fights beckon on him.

And just like that, Akhmadaliev is back in action now in the division as he battered previously unbeaten Kevin Gonzalez en route to an 8th round stoppage. He scored two knockdowns, in round 6 and 8. So masterfully, he destroyed Kevin in his fight and didn't allow Gonzalez to somewhat make a comeback, and when that, this fight is for the mandatory belt or this fight is a title eliminator of the WBA belt held by Tapales.

And so if by chance Inoue wins and annexed that 2 belts from Tapales, then we might see Inoue vs Akhmadaliev next (or whoever wins the fight). So for now, good win by Akhmadaliev and he should relax and just wait for the outcome of the December 26 fight.

@Belarge - you are wrong, we could create our speculations base on the fighters last fight, tell me what "tougher ways to comprehend a fight"? If you are saying that you can came up with comprehension, then that is already speculation or analysis on your end and everyone is free to do that.

Just like when odd makers speculated that he will beat Marlon Tapales as he is a huge favorite, but it turns out to be that they are wrong and majority of us here as we thought too that Akhmadaliev will win.

And yeah who wouldn't forget about the sons of Manny also wanting to follow his footsteps? And I far as I know it was Eman though who has more ambitions that Jimuel as Eman was not Jinkee's son and so he is very protected unlike Jimuel who was born with silver spoon in his mouth.

Nevertheless, I don't think that even his son can do what Manny did in this career. Even Manny's brother was very not as successful as Manny. But he remains with his brother so I guess he is also living a good life because of Manny Pacquiao.

He might have his chance if Tapales will survive his fight against Inoue, or if ever Inoue wins and give him that chance, we never know what future might be as there are pending fight for him and for the fighter who stole his belts, and like what you mentioned we can't underestimate anyone as chances of winning is always relying with how they prepared and how they execute the strategy that they created, more on how they will bring the everything for the fight with that determination of winning against their opponent.
